--he's the: scarred/tortured/slutty/silent/sarcastic/all of the above friend/compatriate/brother/rival of the current hero

--he says some shit like "I'm glad you've found love, brother [possibly in arms] but no woman will ever tame me/soothe my wounds/help me move on from my broken heart"

--bonus points if he's like "jesus FUCK, your girl is nice but THAT BITCH OVER THERE--"

--alternative to the above point: he never refers to "that bitch over there" but he ends the book single and there's a random other woman who's without a man and her status as a young and attractive creature is mentioned

He looked down at you from his throne, a wicked smile on his face. “Do you really want me to answer that, doll? Because I can. I’m not sure you’ll like the answer.”

“What do you want, Pyrus.” You say as you roll your eyes. You adjust your outfit as you wait for him to answer.

“I want your kingdom.” He demands.

“What? I’m not giving you my kingdom, you bastard.”

“Oh but, doll.” He laughs as he smiles devilishly again. “I wasn’t asking. You will either give me your kingdom willingly or I will take it by force. I can make it, how to put this, pleasurable for you. Make you my consort, if you wish.”

“I told you. You’re not getting it. Send your army, if you wish”

“I don’t need an army.” He turns his head towards one of the people standing near him. “Restrain them.”

You feel your arms being held at your sides as Pyrus walks towards you. He uses a finger to tilt your head so that you’re looking into his eyes. “Don’t worry, doll, I have no intention of harming a pretty thing like you. Take them to the guest room.”
