So. They got caught and kidnapped by the Chronicles.

Fucking getting kidnapped AGAIN. BRUH. YET AGAIN.

And then of course there's always the guy sitting across the room, acting cool when the lighting covers his face.

And then of course he stood up and walked closer to the chairs Xiao Ming and gang were tied to.

Oh but his body very weird one leh. At first is like he's just a shadow but then apparently he can manifest physical limbs whenever he wants to and can go back to shadows whenever he wants to. Kinda like King Sombra from My Little Pony or Shadow Leaper from My Zero IQ

And then as is with all villains, it's time for the villain to reveal his life story and motives for becoming a villain and stuff.

So he started. "Well, I am the leader of the Chronicles, and I actually also used to be a Corvi, remember Tempest? She's a Corvi. But I wasn't powerful enough to be chosen to become a Prodigy or something. But whatever. I really didn't care. I also had a good friend named Hope. Then one day the Prodigies created a Sacred Crystal that allowed us to see our future once we looked in. Hope looked into it, and she saw that she was a beautiful princess in the future. But all I saw was that I was a monster. But no one knew that so I continued my life normally. Until one day Hope saved a village and became elected as a princess of governance. Her destiny was coming true, and therefore so was mine. Obviously, not wanting to become a monster, I fled the village and ran away as far as I could. But I quickly got lost and was running out of rations. What made it worse then was that it started raining heavily, and I rushed to seek shelter in a dark cave. Then a voice from the shadows in the cave spoke to me: "O child of the darkness, why do you flee from your home village? You know, I can give you as much power as you want, my child, you just have to embrace your inner demons..." And then it was then that I knew that I was actually some sort of crossbreed between a Shadow Demon and a Corvi. So I embraced it and became what I am today,"

Xiao Ming just waited there, flabbergasted. "Ok that was a nice story and all but that still doesn't explain why you wanna collect the Deadly Sins,'

"Shuddap! That's what I was getting to. Anyway I wanted to revisit Hope again and showcase my newfound power to her and maybe the Prodigies would take me in as one of them. But then I realised that she was dead already. Those Prodigies hadn't made her a princess because she saved the village. They made her a princess so they'd have an excuse to escort her to the palace to conduct inhumane experiments on her so that they could find out how to increase their own power! So naturally, as Hope was my only friend, I burned down the whole palace and tore off those darn Prodigies' wings."

"Wait they have wings?"

"Yeah they do. Obviously you haven't seen it because I've torn it off, and Tempest doesn't really like to mention the fact that her wings were torn too along with her broken horn in the fight with the monster but whatever. Anyway back to the story. So after I burned down the palace I still found that that wasn't enough to vent my anger out. I also think it was partly due to the fact that I became a literal shadow and it was infecting me that's why I feel so raging and furious but whatever anyway back to the story. So I wandered the land, killing any demons I found and righting any wrongs or injustice. And then eventually I stumbled upon the village of the furries, (their village was already destroyed at that point) and or course, being quite judicial, I immediately stepped forward and asked what the hell was going on. Some wolf guy told me that the gods had destroyed the land for an unknown reason. I then asked if there was any way to get justice for them. And then they told me of this legend:

Bestowed upon thee a sacred wish

Bestowed upon thee a pair of wings

Findeth the deadly seven you shall

And all your life problems the gods shall fix

Well. So of course I tried to find the seven Deadly Sins. But of course I'm not gonna be able to find them myself. So I recruited this elite team to help me find them so that I can fight the gods. There you go. That's my life story."

"Wow. That was...lengthy, that's for one, also for the love of god, if we are fellow enemies or allies, can you tell us what ya'll name is? Why does no one who meets us tell us their name sia?"

"Orhhhh, my name ah? Hmm... Kiefer."

The holiday season is coming up once again and I am here to bring another watchlist just for the occasion! When I made my Halloween watchlist, I ended up liking the idea a lot to where I decided to do something similar for the holidays. Here, you'll find a festive collection of movies and TV episodes and specials; although a majority of it is Christmas, I also made sure to include any Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year stuff I enjoyed. I even threw in a few winter-themed episodes for a couple of shows, mostly for shits and giggles.

Update/Expansion of the Cursed!Pan au that no one asked for

“She's wrong. Magic is the answer.” Peter Pan, S3E10: The New Neverland.

Peter had expected the queen, in all her hate over a girl she couldn’t get rid of, to do something as petty as cast a curse. So why did he stay when the rumors surfaced or when he saw the dark clouds of dark magic come? Adventure one could guess; who knows what runs through the half-mad boy king’s mind after all. He was bored maybe and was thinking that perhaps that could buy him some time while seeking out that precious heart he desired so...

Memory gone but the need of magic did not. Like Mr. Gold and his collecting, Peter didn’t quite have everything stripped from him. No. 

Piper was his name, a youthful male that could easily be looked down upon given he owned a spiritual shop that reeked of incense and was infested by different plants that he carefully tended to. 

He was laughed at and mocked for his belief in magic, but some of those same people that mocked him publicly would come privately and do readings and take plant leaves for teas.. dare say Piper could give anyone a little feeling of who they once were... happy and free. 

Henry Mills would sneak in as well, obviously behind his annoying mother’s back who was bent on trying to close down Piper’s shop each chance she got. They chatted, and Piper was the only one that agreed with Henry and never believed him to be unwell or whatever twists his mother or anyone said. Here Henry could say what he wanted and Piper listened, agreeing that it was possible that there were other worlds.

One day he wanted to learn who Piper really was. Pinocchio was off the table given Piper lied sometimes about things, no matter how little or white they were. No, they went with Peter Pan. Youthful, adventurous, magical. It fit Piper. 

But the more Henry dug into Piper’s true self, the more he remembered, and it was not good. 

Henry looked at the book one day and found an added page he had sworn wasn’t there before. Peter Pan was there, only what was written was far darker than even his book counterpart from Barrie...

Henry left to find Emma, leaving Piper alone... only problem was, slowly he was remembering. And even without magic, the boy was very dangerous with tricks and the right words. And when magic returns, he shows just how powerful and vicious he can be.

Hyperion Heights version is different. 

Henry meets Piper the near same time he meets Alice, only Piper was on the run from Weaver and nearly was hit by Henry’s vehicle while he ran across the road.

Piper has a criminal record for petty thieving, swindling, and rumor of assault or even murder though it’s unconfirmed (and possible was falsified by Weaver). He had worked for Weaver until he broke free and attempted to get out of Hyperion Heights and that life... 

He worked with Henry and Lucy to break the curse. He would return as Peter Pan, only he was somehow tamer than he had been. Even holding some knowledge about Gothel who he was more mad about being here than having his memories taken away.

Only he would be captured and taken away later on by the twisted Wish!Rumple who, this Peter turned out to be Wish!Peter Pan. As to what had happened in his alternate life was unknown.

He would be freed by Henry with a very reluctant Regina and fight against Wish!Rumple with Weaver’s help. Redeeming what he or rather his other self had done some years ago to Henry. When Rumple passed, Peter was the one to break down and mourn, cries that echoed throughout the castle as everyone left him alone in peace to cry over his son that, in that moment, loved so much and regretted ever abandoning.

He becomes one of the leaders of the United Realms, serving under Regina with some other leaders, keeping the realms at peace. But keeps to himself mostly unless he is needed to meet and discuss or to fight.

Oh who am I kidding. Chances are this will end up being like 25 episodes long at this rate. Let’s go ahead and see what happens this time around.

Stakes: I would strongly recommend watching every episode of Stakes. There are lots flashbacks, world building explanations and character growth. Just watch the first eight episodes before you decide if you like it or not. ⭐️

Why and How the Daenerys/Stark Alliance Could Fall.

I think I got it!

So Jon and Daenerys are traveling to Winterfell. They had the boat scene. They’re going to fight the White Walkers together! They think Cersei Lannister has called a truce and that she will support their cause. Even IF Jon learns that he has the superior claim to Daenerys, he doesn’t want to be King. He believes Daenerys is with their cause. The Northern lords will see her for what she truly is. So where could this all go wrong? 

There were multiple confusing/frustrating plot points that seem like bad writing. If my theory is correct, it actually could be a pretty spectacular confluence of many story lines. Here’s my lame attempt at explaining it all:

STEP #1: WHY DID JAIME STAY WITH CERSEI SO LONG?

Since s3e10, the world has been frustrated with Jaime Lannister’s devotion to Cersei. Why doesn’t he try to leave with Tyrion after releasing him? Why does he allow her to torment him after watching her actions result in the deaths of Myrcella and Tommen? Why didn’t he leave when the Sept of Baelor was destroyed?

My Answer: NOT JUST FOR THE VALONQAR...BUT TO DELIVER THE NEWS TO THE NORTH WHEN JON AND DAENERYS TO ARRIVE.

The Valonqar theory is very much in play but there are so many opportunities for him to have already done it. Really, Cersei scheming with Euron to bring the Golden Company by itself isn’t anywhere near as bad as her blowing up the Sept. or any other number of things she’s done that Jaime has tolerated. So why write for Jaime to leave upon gaining valuable information? To tell it to the people that she has betrayed.

Step #2: WHY DID LITTLEFINGER LIVE SO LONG?

After Littlefinger assisted the North in defeating the Boltons, he didn’t really serve much narrative purpose. At least he didn’t drive the story the same way he did before. So what did LF actually do in Winterfell was returned to the Starks? He groomed Sansa to rule. He informed the audience of her growing reputation with the Northern lords. He showed the audience how strongly Jon felt about Sansa when he choked LF in the crypts. He first articulated the ideas to Sansa of both un-naming Jon as King and also of the chance that Jon and Daenerys may marry. But for what purpose? He already witnessed the strength of their bond. That’s why he switched tactics to pitting Arya against Sansa. My Answer: It’s pretty obvious to me that LF tried to turn the strength of the bond between Sansa and Jon into a possible point of contention between them with the idea that someone ELSE might get in the middle. His hope was to make Sansa feel isolated but instead his character laid the foundation for Sansa and Daenerys to become rivals for Jon’s affections and loyalties. Some believe that will be no contest at all. His existence allowed for Winterfell to have an “enemy” in season 7. Now - who would the North oppose? Every entity on the show already is at odds with the Night King. 

LF was a placeholder for the North/Daenerys conflict of season 8.

Step #3: WHY ARE VARYS AND TYRION SO DIFFERENT NOW?

People find it strange that The Spider and The Imp have been so OOC for season 7. Varys has seemingly done nothing. Tyrion has wrestled with Daenerys’ temperament, but otherwise has been rather inactive. Except this key scene in e5 following the Field of Fire 2.0. I’m not sure if they’re plotting against Daenerys. I sort of doubt it right now. Maybe the extent that I could reasonably buy (without additional evidence) is that they’ve tried some different methods of reigning in her “Fire and Blood”.

My Answer: Varys and Tyrion’s inaction is actually silent contemplation. When they see what I think they will see, they will abandon her cause.

Tyrion and Varys are teetering on the brink of abandoning the Mother of Dragons. Varys stresses multiple times that she has a great resume and Westeros has no better alternatives. He hasn’t heard his whispers in the North for quite some time. He’s only just recently observed Jon Snow. He does, however, already know of Sansa. He possesses a serious distaste for a lot of Daenerys’ methods. He will see a better alternative(s). With the right family name. And the love of his (and her) people. 

For his part, Tyrion has tried extremely hard to reason with Dany. He’s seeing some of the shine fall away from the deity he first discovered. No doubt his first impression was informed quite a bit by the devotion showed towards Daenerys by Jorah, Tyrion’s former travel companion. She’s continually questioned his competence and loyalty in season 7. She also has gotten frustrated with his unwillingness to go along with her Mass Destruction inclinations. 

Step #4: WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE GOLDEN COMPANY?

The Golden Company could be a pretty cool story. But it seems a lot of people are confused why the show is bothering to introduce them. They’re a big deal in the books...but to wait until season 8? What gives?

My Answer: THE NEWS ABOUT AND ARRIVAL OF THE GOLDEN COMPANY WILL CAUSE DAENERYS TO HEAD SOUTH AND CAUSE JON TO DOUBT HER COMMITMENT TO THE WAR FOR THE DAWN AND HIS BELIEF THAT SHE IS A WORTHY QUEEN. 

The ceasefire the ceasefire the ceasefire. This was the only event that would make Daenerys abandon the South for the time being and commit to destroying the Night King. She saw the Army of the Dead. She saw the Night King. She lost Viserion. She STILL would only march North if Cersei agreed to a ceasefire. In comes Jaime fookin’ Lannister to tell the North of Cersei’s plans. Daenerys now knows there is no truce. She is faced with a choice. Take care of what she said she would do in the North? Or leave the North to face the Golden Company at King’s Landing - with a fury. She WILL destroy the Red Keep. It will burn. 

A dragon rising over King’s Landing? Check.

A charred and destroyed Red Keep? Check.

Seems the show has been telling us for years this will happen.

Step #5: WHY DID JON BEND THE KNEE IF HE DID NOT HAVE TO?

Many people have wondered: Why bother with this part of the story when Daenerys already committed to fighting for the North and a marriage alliance would make more sense?

My Answer: Jon knows that Daenerys is volatile but does not yet understand the extent that vengeance and ambition drive her. He trusted in her commitment to the War for the Dawn - and will be shown amply that her goals cannot co-exist with his.

Jon knows the Throne is the most important thing to Daenerys and to Cersei. He must figure out how to change this. He also recognizes how powerful dragons are. He must make an ally of Daenerys for the realm to survive. He is also thus far unaware of exactly what defines Daenerys Stormborn. The answer is “Conqueror”.

Sam, while no fan of his father, will not accept the burning of his father and brother as “necessary”.

Jaime Lannister. The man who saved King’s Landing from being burned by Aerys may inadvertently be the one to cause King’s Landing to be burned by his daughter, Daenerys. This is exactly what he just tried to escape by leaving Cersei.

Jon Snow, the man who showed mercy in killing Mance to prevent death by fire, will not accept Daenerys using her dragons to melt castles and burn cities.

So while Jon as the true heir is significant, Jaime Lannister informing the Northern forces of Cersei’s plans will be the precursor to the complete fracture of the alliance between Jon and Daenerys. Jon will be put in a spot where the Northern lords doubt him because he’s now known as a Targaryen, but he will never want to mend the relationship with Daenerys, whom he now knows is a threat to the safety of the realm.

Step #6: ENTER SANSA STARK

Sansa Stark. The character who has been ACCUMULATING allies unlike Daenerys and Cersei, the character who has gained the most administrative skill, and the character who, of the Stark children, has been through the most with Jon since the events of the show began, will be the only thing that can save Jon’s connection to the North and provide an alternative for the realm to turn to once they see that Daenerys Stormborn is truly a conqueror and not a ruler. 

“I’ll make them love me” - those are the words of a great queen, one that can unite a group of people as different as Varys, Brienne of Tarth, Theon Greyjoy, Yohn Royce, Petyr Baelish, Jaime Lannister, Arya Stark, and her husband, King Jon Snow (maybe Jon Stark).

Endgame.
