I've wanted to see this movie since it came out. Last night I did.
youtube
I have a problem with laughing inappropriately during horror movies. Even in the theater. There's the sound of my laughter, and the rest of the theater is utterly silent. I've always justified it by telling myself that the directors are implanting subtle humor in the gore.
I laughed a few times watching this. Loudly during the woodchipper scene. The person I watched it with gave me some sideways looks out of the corner of her eye. Maybe I have issues?
**Major spoilers in the behind the scenes portion for anyone interested in seeing this for the first time.**

The Price We Pay

Sky High (2002)
My rating: 4/10
This is one of those movies that might have worked as animation - it still wouldn't have been very good, mind, but at least the visual shortcomings may have been a bit less glaring. As it is, it's dull in both plot and production, and basically just another forgettable early 2000s fantasy/action drama.

In order to rescue the passengers, Torrance will need Gaspare’s help, and will learn there’s more to Gaspare than meets the eye.

In a ‘what the hell?’ move, they decide to host the party of the year at an exclusive mansion, the site of their last cleaning job, which just happens to belong to none other than LeBron James. No permission? No problem. What could go wrong?
The Devil Conspiracy
The Devil Conspiracy, the new movie from Nathan Frankowski, is out today.
A powerful biotech company has breakthrough technology allowing them to clone history’s most influential people with just a few fragments of DNA. Behind this company is a cabal of Satanists that steals the shroud of Christ putting them in possession of Jesus’ DNA. The clone will serve as the ultimate offering to the devil. Archangel Michael comes to earth and will stop at nothing to end the devil’s conspiracy.

But good vibes and high hopes are cut short when, shortly after their arrival to paradise, Lex accidentally drops her friend’s (Aparna Nancherla) baby in front of all their friends. Paradise becomes purgatory for our couple as recriminations, passive-aggression and old wounds begin to permeate the island reunion and throw Mani and Lex’s future into deep uncertainty.
