One of the things that amuses me the most as both a Captain America and Guardians fan is that Captain America's Legacy has a lasting impact on the Guardians of the Galaxy both with the original future team (Major Victory is the equivalent of space Cap, his team's symbol is a star with stripes and the first arc of the Valentino run centers around finding Steve's shield) and Star-Lord's team (who got their name from a post-frozen Major Victory in a strange reverse Captain America sort of situations not to mention Jack Flag, who was Steve's partner, is also a member of the Guardians).
And yes the original Future Guardians name two ships after Cap. Their first ship being the USS Captain America (which was really a rip off of the USS Enterprise).

That ship gets destroyed by the Reavers of Arcturus (the team the MCU Ravagers are based on).

Then it gets replaced by "The Freedom's Lady" (still keeping a theme there).

That ship also gets destroyed and it gets replaced by

Much much later in Guardians 3000 another iteration of the future Guardians gets a Cap themed ship.

And what do they call it?

A Campsite In Coldharbour
my vestige and her group spent quite a few weeks traveling coldharbour, gathering information, scouting the realm, setting up rituals and portal anchors to get supplies and allies from the mages and fighters guilds into coldharbour to prepare to the final assault against the reaver citadel. the fragmented, hostile landscape makes travel difficult and they don’t immediately find the hollow city so they end up setting up camp in key spots for many days at a time in relatively safe, relatively easy to defend spot, using skeletons and dwemer constructs as guards and portals to travel from there~ tho temporary, these camps actually become quite cozy as they try to make it as comfortable as possible to off-set the profound discomfort of spending so much time in molag bal’s realm!
there are three tents for four people each:
left tent:
shelur gra-yashna (orc warrior, stamina sorcerer), sionnach frostfang (breton/reachfolk glenmoril wyrd, magicka warden), nibani sonummu (ashlander witch, magicka nightblade), faliyendhel (bosmer ranger, stamina warden)
middle tent:
ku’vakka (argonian healer, magicka templar), khanjari’daro (khajiit rogue & vestige, stamina nightblade), do’najjan (khajiit warrior, stamina dragonknight), lorasara silinthar (altmer sapiarch, magicka templar)
right tent:
varo arcturus (imperial/akaviri knight, stamina templar), rhanul al-rihad (redguard sword-master, stamina dragonknight), athal silinthar (dunmer/maormer psijic, magicka necromancer), freyja the frozen (nord pirate, stamina dragonknight)

A male child was born to the superheroes Quasar and Kismet. Just as soon as he was born on the planet Vesper, he was kidnapped and deposited on the planet Arcturus IV. The baby was discovered by an Arcturian couple who were among the last of their planet's mutants; for much of his life, Stakar would believe that these mutants were his birth parents. The mutants were found and slain by the Reavers of Arcturus, Arcturian military cadres dedicated to eradicating the mutants of their race. The Reaver Ogord discovered the infant and, assuming him to be a normal Arcturian, adopted the child and raised him as his own with his wife Salaan, naming the boy Stakar. Stakar cultivated an interest in science and archaeology and explored ruins containing the Hawk God. He and his adoptive sister Aleta Ogord reanimated the dormant deity and were physically transformed. They took turns occupying the same physical space, while the other stayed in a type of "limbo". They were given extraordinary power and left Arcturus IV for the stars; when dominant, Stakar adopted the costumed identity of Starhawk. Developing romantic feelings for one another, Stakar and Aleta petitioned the Hawk God to temporarily separate them. During this time, they had three children together: Sita, John and Tara. As an adventurer and protector, Starhawk revealed himself to the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Defenders in the year 3014. He first appeared in cameo in Defenders #27 (June 17, 1975). He aided them in overthrowing the Badoon occupation of Earth. Starhawk joined the Guardians of the Galaxy in a space mission, and helped defeat the Topographical Man. It is later revealed he manipulated events to bring the Guardians together; for example, when Charlie-27 teleported from Jupiter to escape the Badoon, Starhawk caused him to be transported to Pluto where he met Martinex.

The Guardians ship is being held captive by the Reavers of Arcturus, who I’m presuming are the same Reavers from the movies! Now I’m starting to see the connections! (Also, “Geronimo H. Baldheaded Christmas!” is my new favorite expletive!) #marvel #presents #guardiansofthegalaxy https://ift.tt/2JdUpko
