#OTD in 1607 – The Earls of Tyrone and Tyrconnell, along with a close circle of family and associates, boarded a ship at Rathmullan on Lough Swilly, bound for Spain.
This event has become known as ‘The Flight of the Earls’ and is widely regarded as one of the most enigmatic events in Irish history, virtually defying explanation. A French ship sailed from the northern harbour of Rathmullan in Lough Swilly. On board were Hugh O’Neill, Earl of Tyrone, and Rory O’Donnell, Earl of Tyrconnell, together with more than ninety of their family and followers. The ship…

Cuentos Celtas: La Leche Hechizada. They outlasted four other aspiring owner-occupiers with a winning bid of $783,000 which was more than $60,000 above reserve.

What a day! 💜 Home has been magical so far! I had this delicious vegan salad plate in my favourite cafe in Donegal @wholegreen.ie , then we went seaweed picking in Rathmullen to clear the lungs and expose myself to some clean Irish air 🙌🏽 then we celebrated @matthew0411 graduation in the amazing @patspizzaletterkenny I just chose a "create your own" pizza with a selection of veggies but we brought our own @violife_foods cheese which they kindly put on our pizza and holy Moses it was out of this world!!! So letterkenny vegans just so you know Pats will happily put your cheese on the pizza if you take it in 👌🏽😊 great day altogether! 🇮🇪💚 (en Donegal, Ireland)
