Guess who’s got a Ramshackle OC in the works!!!

I was just thinking about the time period Ramshackle was most likely set in (1920s-30s) and wondering how it possible that Stone and Avrille have Irish accents. (Hear me out)

Around this time period Irish immigrants were much lower class, often working as servants for richer families. Stone and Avrille are seen to have been raised by a rich family, even thought they have Irish accents. So how does this work?

Well the first place my mind went is that their parents aren’t Irish, and they learned english from someone else. Specifically, an Irish servant of the family who they could inherit this accent from.

This wouldn’t be too surprising since their parents are shown to be quite distant, fighting most of the time. And genetics have a very small impact on accents, an accent mostly developing from exposure to others with that accent.

So anyways this rabbit hole may or may not have inspired me to make a Ramshackle OC. Details to follow on them in another post.

I’m probably overthinking this (no I am definitely just overthinking this) but I like early 1900s history dangit!!

Since I lov pokemon so much,I felt like making headcanons(if I can call it that) for ramshackle characters if they had a pokemon parthner. I was gonna include more but I'm too tired to draw today,,,

Vinnie:

- I gave her a Scorbunny

- Vinnie 'n Scorbunny didn't rly get along at first(I imagine Scorbunny stealing beans from her cus it wants food too) but they eventually get along n help each other pickpocket others.

-I can see them winning a football match,, and even if they don't,they at least have fun playing and setting the ball on fire.

- Cinderace's(Scorbunny's final evo) reminded me of Vinnie.

-they give each other high five cus they're cool.

Stone:

- I gave him an Umbreon

- I imagine Stone having Umbreon b4 he ran away(at least I assume he ran away) and became a stinky homeless alcoholic. He had it since it was an Eevee.

-also,, Eevee evolves I to Umbreon during night and by leveling the friendship(key word ***friendship***. I think it'd be wholesome)

- STONE IS EMO. LET HIM HAVE A COOL EMO EEVEELUTION.

Skipp:

-I gave him Smeargle

- i don't have that many ideas on how they could've met,,but I assume they kinda just became friends? I don't think Skipp would mind Smeargle's company,,, I imagined them simply becoming friends cus they're silly n polite lil fellas.

-I DIDNT RLY HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR THEM. IM SORRY.

Other characters I was goin to include but ended up not doin that cus hhrrrrpp mimimiimi hrrrrppp mimimimi zzzzzzzz:

Avrille:

-I imagine her having a Lurantis

-LISTEN. LURANTIS IS CUTE. BUT ALSO. STRONG N COOL?BASED ON WHAT I KNO.I THINK IT FITS AVRILLE'S PERSONALITY IN A WAY???THERES JUST SMTH ABT IT THAT MAKES ME THINK THAT. IT HAS SHARP ARMS(?) YET ITS A VERY ELEGANT N GLAMOROUS GRASS POKEMON

- Lurantis also looks like a candy/candy store employee. AND ITS PINK!!

- they're lab parthners. I said what I said.

Maroon:

-I barely know anything abt her,so I had to use ramshackle wiki fandom for that.

-i can see her havin a Herdier or Stoutland (the wiki also mentions she's a bodyguard n MAYBE a former officer)

- they're parthners n help each other out in life threatening situations

- they're cool

Tre:

- honestly?dunno anything abt him either so I had to pull the ramshackle wiki again. But givin him a Lillipup just felt right.

-so silly.

Ditch:

-I wasn't gonna add him to the list,BUT GOD DAMN I'D GIVE HIM A YUNGOOS CUS I CANT STAND YUNGOOS.

-SO STINKY.

I feel like more people should talk about the backstory we have on Stone because we have some good details.

Like the fact his sister is a candy "drug" dealer, and I'm pretty sure his sister experimented on him

The first first one I assume is Stone wanting to be replaced by a rabbit so she can experiment on that instead of him.

The caption for the second picture was "No Stone you can't leave yet it's for science"

Also we know his family was shit

And there's also this information about him

Sorry if none of this makes any sense I just want to talk about this Stones backstory. It seems so interesting. I also want to know more about Avrille. But at the same time I have no idea how canon any of this is anymore because it's really old. You can find all the pictures I used on zeddyzi's Tumblr.

Ramshackle Origins Perditions/Head canons

First up, the somewhat easy one, Stone: Since us doodle followers for the Ramshackle fandom, we already know about Stone's sister Avrill. Knowing that our boy was from a rich family, I can guest two causes on what I think became his downfall to the streets. The first one being they lost their parents at a young age, giving big sister all the inherited money to spoil rotten. Leaving Stone resenting both her and the rich assholes he had to deal with for most of his life. And since he probably had no one else to talk about his problems, he resulted in one of adult's common solutions to cope; alcoholism. My guess is that during his drunken state, he did something so ridiculously embarrassing, Av disowned him into the streets to save her and the family's public image. Or two, parents never died and just favored Avrill more for probably being more sociable. And instead of being somewhat good parents and teach their son the ropes, they just expect him be like that and be disappointed when he fails. Same outcome would happen, only the parents diched him in the streets.

Next, the golden retriever incarnated, Skipp: I like to think his parents were good people who loved him very much, however, unfortunate circumstances happened. Mom was a sweet town baker until dying from childbirth, and dad was a kind and musician dreamer who tried to raise him as best he could but couldn't financially do it in the end and had to give Skipp to an orphanage for a better chance in life. Unknown to him at the time, that place became his son's number one hell until he met Vinnie, who both decided to take their chances at the streets knowing they're not wanted, and no one wants to adopt them.

Lastly, Vinnie, the goblin leader: Judging by her natural chaotic nature to scam as much people as she can, I like to think either both or one of her parents are wanted criminals. Why they gave her up? Either they didn't want their kid out on the run with them for all her life and wanted her to have a better life, or they got her by accident, and didn't want any parent responsibilities to distract them from their heists.

If I get right in any of these for the show's futures, then yippee! If not, then all when, I just did this for fun.

I know the main trio is interesting, but what about Tre, Maroon, Avrille, Ditch, Cen, Rigel, Nemo and the other circus people and Franzwick just to name a few? I do not see enough recognition for them
