17 MoUs signed inviting investment of Rs. 2110 Crore: CM

SHIMLA 3rd March,   Industries Minister inaugurates Himachal Pavilion in Pharma Expo, Mumbai   Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said here today that the State Government participated in the country’s largest pharma-expo and 17 Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) amounting to Rs. 2110 crore were signed on this occasion. The Chief Minister has expressed his pleasure on the intent of investors to invest in the state. He assured full support and commitment by the State Government to facilitate the investors in grounding of the proposed projects in a time bound manner, thereby ensuring that Himachal always remains the preferred investment destination. Himachal Pradesh showcased the pharma ecosystem of the state to invite potential pharma devices players for investments in upcoming Bulk Drug Park and Medical Devices Park in the State. Himachal Pradesh is the only State in the country which is developing both 1405.41 acres Bulk Drug Park at Una and 300 acres Medical Devices Park at Nalagarh. Industries Minister, Harshwardhan Chauhan inaugurated the ‘Himachal Pavilion’ at Pharma Live Expo, Mumbai on Thursday. MLA, Shudhir Sharma, Suresh Kumar, Malender Rajan, Ajay Solanki, Principal Secretary Industries, R.D. Nazeem, Additional Director Industries, Tilak Raj Sharma, Joint Director Industries, Anshul Dhiman, General Manager E&Y, Sakshi Satti and Project Lead E&Y, Sumit Sagar Dogra and officers of industries department were also present on the occasion. Organizers of Indian Drug Manufacturing Association (IDMA) and Himachal Drug Manufacturing Association (HDMA) honoured the Industries Minister. Industries Minister evinced keen interest to visit the stalls that displayed innovative and new technology and also appreciated the efforts of the Himachal based units participating in the Expo. He said that the state government will provide liberal incentives and highly subsidized utility rates for manufacturers in the Bulk Drug Park and Medical Devices Park. Harshwardhan Chauhan also briefed about the State’s pharma ecosystem, emphasizing the successful working of more than 630 pharma manufacturing units, exporting pharma formulations worth Rs. 10,000 crore. He also highlighted the need for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing in the State, as there is an annual demand for bulk drug worth Rs. 35,000 crore. This will not only provide impetus to the pharma ecosystem but also save precious foreign exchange through import substitution. Government to Business (G2B) meetings were also held with big pharma players such as Aishwarya India Healthcare, Scott Edil, Emcure, DBP Pharma group expressed their intent to setup their industrial units in the upcoming Bulk Drug Park and Medical Devices Park. Lupin Limited, one of the biggest pharma players also met the government delegation and expressed its interest in setting up a fermentation-based API unit in the upcoming Bulk Drug Park. It is also worth mentioning that leading Director and Producer of Film Industry, Anil Sharma also expressed his intent to set-up a film city in the Himachal Pradesh. Industries Minister invited him to come with a concrete proposal for investment in the state. The new management of Sukam Power Systems also expressed its will to invest Rs. 300 crore in Electric Vehicle and its components project. For the ask game, rant on "punarmilan" and "bhaichara" (still one of my favourite fics of yours)?

So both of these fics have been rolling around in my head for years.

Punarmilan is based on the Rama Sita reunion scene from the 2012 Zee TV adaptation (Ramayan: Sabke Jeevan Ami Aadhan), which was also on Netflix for several years till it was removed in Aug 2020. The adaptation was pretty cheesy and a rip-off of Ramanand Sagar in many ways, but I loved it for the sole reason that there was NO AGNI PARIKSHA at the end, just Rama and Sita embracing on the shores of Lanka in the glow of the sunset. which was a decision more out of time constraints than any aversion to the scene, but YESSSSSS. I lived that scene so much that I screengrabbed it when I found out it was getting removed from Netflix, and it lived on my hard drive for a few years until I ficced it a few weeks ago.

Bhaichara has been in my head since I first watched the movie at age 8 when it came out. I was very moved by how Ishaan’s two closest peers are his elder brother and Rajan, both of whom perform very well academically. It would have been easy to make him jealous or resentful, but Aamir Khan didn’t. Also that scene where Yohan glances away guiltily at the dinner scene when the dad brings up the absent note and he’s crying in the car along with mom while Dad doesnt care during Mere Maa? As an elder sibling that hit. And how Ishaan is a troublemaker for most of the film, but when Rajan trips and falls, Ishaan jumps down and helps him back up? Even though it would be easy to resent Rajan?

Choopulu Kalasina Subhavela is a 1988 Teluguromanticcomedy film directed by Jandhyala starring Naresh, Mohan, Ashwini and Gayatri. The music was composed by Rajan–Nagendra. The film was a blockbuster and has cult status.(1)

Plot(edit)

Anand Mohan (Mohan) works as a manager in a wall clock company owned by Pandurangam (Suthi Veerabhadra Rao). Padma (Ashwini), daughter of Pandurangam's brother Nagalingam (Nutan Prasad) stays in his house and goes to college. Anand falls in love with her. But he is afraid to reveal it to Pandurangam because of the fear of losing his job.

Anand receives a letter from his friend Lakshmi Prasad (Naresh). The letter explains his problems because of losses in his business. Anand goes to the village and rescues him as he is about to commit suicide. He brings him to the town in hope of finding a job. Anand uses Lakshmi Prasad in various ways to convince Pandurangam of his love with Padma. At last Pandurangam comes to know about their love and agrees to their proposal.

Lakshmi Prasad also loved a girl when he was in his village. He loses track of her when her family has migrated to some other city. Luckily, Lakshmi Prasad finds her again. Nagalingam does not like the word 'Love'. So he opposes it when his daughter proposes to marry Anand. This leads to conflict between the brothers and they split their property including their mother. She feels very bad about this. When she decided to live in a temple instead of witnessing the fight of her two sons, Anand's father (Kota Srinivasa Rao) takes her to his home. He advises his son to reunite their family because they split because of his love.

Anand along with Padma, Lakshmi Prasad and others enact a story to change the minds of Nagalingam, who finally agrees to marry his daughter to Anand, and their family reunites.

Application criteria

All candidates who fulfil criteria A1 and any one of the criteria mentioned in A2, are eligible to apply. Based on these applications, IISER Pune will create the list of students to be invited for the online interviews.

Eligibility Criteria

A1. Masters’ (or B.E., B.Tech., M.Tech., MBBS) degree holders in any branch of science including physics, chemistry, mathematics, biological sciences, ecology and environmental sciences, biodiversity, psychology or equivalent. Applicants must have a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (overall percentage and not just in majoring subject) or an equivalent CGPA in the general category or minimum 55% marks in aggregate (overall percentage and not just in majoring subject) or an equivalent CGPA in the SC/ST or PD category. Students whose final results in Masters or equivalent are yet to be declared can also apply. However, if selected, the offer for these students will be provisional, subject to their fulfilling the above criteria.

A2. Applicants must have any one of the following qualifications.

Qualified a National Eligibility exam that provides a 5-year PhD fellowship such as CSIR–JRF / UGC–JRF / DBT–JRF–A / ICMR–JRF / DBT–BINC–JRF / Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship / Maulana Azad National Fellowship / National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students by CSIR-UGC / National Fellowship for Higher Education of ST Students / National Fellowship for OBC Candidates / National Fellowship for persons with disabilities (NFPWD). The fellowships must be valid on September 01, 2021.

Qualified JEST* (rank holder up to 500) or GPAT (rank holder up to 500) or NBHM in last two years.

INSPIRE-PhD fellowship (should be in possession of provisional selection letter at the time of Interview).

IISER BS-MS dual degree students with CGPA ≥ 8.0

Rank <= 200 in GATE exams (GATE Life Sciences, GATE Chemistry, GATE Eco-Evo, GATE Biotechnology, GATE Mathematics). The GATE score must be valid on August 01, 2021.

Qualified JGEBILS (IISER Pune will shortlist based on the ranks of the students).

The Karmanghat Hanuman Temple is one of the oldest and popular Hindu temples in Hyderabad, in the state of Telangana, India. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Hanuman and the temple complex also houses other deities viz. Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, Goddess Saraswathi, Goddess Durga, Goddess Santoshimata, Lord Venugopala Swamy, and Lord Jagannath. The temple is located at Karmanghat, near Santoshnagar and closer to the Nagarjuna Sagar Ring Road.It was built in the 12th century A.D (approximately 1143). When a Kakatiya king went hunting and was resting under a tree, he heard the chanting of Lord Rama's name. Wondering who it was in the middle of a dense forest, he discovered a stone idol of God Hanuman, in seated posture and the voice coming from the vigraha. Having paid his respects, he returned to his capital, and that night, Lord appeared in his dream and asked him to construct a temple. The temple was built immediately and successive kings ruled it well. About 400 years later, Aurangzeb sent out his armies to all corners of the country for further expansion of Mughal Empire. At this temple, the army couldn't even step close to the compound wall. When the general reported this to Aurangzeb, he himself went with a crow bar to break down the temple. At the threshold of the temple, he heard a deafening roar rumbling like thunder, and the crowbar slipped from his hands as he was shaking in fear. Then he heard a voice in the heavens "Mandir todna hai rajan, to kar man ghat" (translation: "If you want to break down the temple, O King, harden your heart.") which is why the place got the name kar-man-ghat. And to this day, Lord Anjaneya sits peacefully meditating and blessing devotees, as Dhyana Anjaneya Swamy.
