Living in nyc as a born and raised local is so annoying cuz yall just don't know how to act istg..

I want to see Samara Joy because she is currently on tour, but the average ticket price is 80+ for a single seat?? Now many front seats are being resold for more than $300 and no one is going purchasing them for allat. The fact that I live in nyc matters here because, first of all, the venue is quite small in comparison to other locations. Second, other locations are CHEAPER. And I don't mean by a bit.. it's literally $40 for Jersey with no resellers. How come the flat rate for NY is 80 and Jersey is 40??!?! BROOO IM CRYINN cuz once again, I am going to miss out on being able to see an artist I really like because I don't have that money to spend. She is going to there a second day and I might have a chance to get seats then, but GOOD LORD.. It's still the same looking prices likeeee uughhh

This is the SAME THING that happen when I wanted to see Ado and the resellers were putting tickets at the "low low price" of 2 bands. It doesn't add up!!!!! n the small 2k capacity venue and using ticketmaster did have a big play in that.

If you buy tickets for the purpose of reselling them.. When's the last time you filed for taxes?? Get a real job brobro 💀

Summary:

Today was Kieran's birthday, but it was the last thing that mattered to him. In fact, he vowed it would never matter to him again. Instead, he would focus on things that would keep him strong: his battling, his strategizing, and his crown as the Blueberry Champion. His sister and the Elite Four won't stop asking him random questions, though, and if anyone brings up Juliana any more than they already have since she arrived as an exchange student, he's seriously going to lose it. But...why can't he stop thinking about her? And why is everyone acting so suspicious?!

A bittersweet birthday celebration fic for anyone who's had complicated feelings about their birthday. <3
