brainrotting for collei and also how she thinks about her and her past self and i find it so sad how she thinks about her past self similarly to how she felt about herself then. in the webtoon she calls herself things such as being dirty and unworthy ect, and nowadays she mentions how "awful" she was back then. it's interesting that she still has this inability to forgive herself for what she did in order to survive, and how she pushes herself to act differently and more like amber because of hoe harshly she views herself, her past self, and her personality. no matter how much she tries to shut it out, that scared. angry little girl will always be there, still hurting at the world

#like okay the concept behind collei as a character is sooo so so good im always going to be so mad that this was the game she ended up in #bc so much of her character is built around the concept of losing agency over your body & fighting to gain it back it is genuinely insane #like from the archon residue to her eleazar like its all so intertwined with her being disabled and having ptsd its so!!!!!! #gh!!!!!! #her anger over being helpless & at the whims of those who wanted to control her & it primarily being expressed as fire #and the fact that the archon residue gave her the illusion of control at the expense of its fire burning her too!! the residue itself being #emblematic of both her rage & trauma & how she trapped herself in a self destructive loop because it was the only way she could survive #and what broke that loop was someone accepting her for who she was; someone who afforded her back her agency!!!!!! #and like. the read-in-between-the-lines implication that dotorre was collecting eleazar patients for his experiment at least partly because #theyre easier to obtain bc they were considered social outcasts... and this coinciding with the fact that collei's family was probably poor #JUST STARTS THROWING UP ACTUALLY

Thoughts on this current Windblume? Specifically about Collei?

I guess I did say too much on the Windblume in my thoughts post, mostly because we only have the introduction quest. And I really didn't touch on Collei.

So generally, I really like Collei. I like seeing how much she's grown and how much she's still working. I personally think she's less shy and more just untrusting because of what's happened to her. She just has problems opening up or wanting to even try to open up, but she's trying. Which sort of makes Surcose sort of a perfect match for her. Because she is timid and awkward.

They both aren't big on people, Collei because she just hasn't been around them, and Sucrose because she doesn't understand them.

I really hope we are gonna get a lot of more personal growth for both characters.

But really, the Sumeru characters and the Mondstadt ones are the best. Like, Liyue ones are fine, but they really put the Inazuma ones in the dust imo.

Moments in the Serenitea Pot

“Tenacity... Temerity? Oh man, I still can't figure it out.”

Laughter filters through pulling Collei out of her thoughts. She peers around the screen and almost jumps out of her skin when she sees Kaeya at the counter with someone.

“Sir Kaeya? Oh no, I hope he doesn't see me.”

Quietly, she observes the two.

The men chat, Kaeya smiles earnestly while the redhead appears indifferent, but Collei catches the subtle twitch of their lips whenever the Captain speaks.

“I have never seen Sir Kaeya like this, they must be really close.”

“Eep!”

Collei jumps as the aforementioned stranger locks eyes with her. She's been caught.

Kaeya turns and smirks at her.

“Collei? I didn't know you were there.”

“Uhhhh, gotta run!”

Kaeya looks confused as he watches Collei sprint out the doors before turning to Diluc.

“We really have to work on your communication skills.”

“Hmph.”

Mond event where they find out about a species of flowers that, like the boars, are frozen in Dragonspine, so they call Tighnari, with Cyno and Collei coming along.

The main mechanic would be that, to bring the flower back, you need to first melt the ice with pyro, then apply dendro and electro to help its growth (no hydro would be needed, thanks to the thawing of the ice).

And, as you explore the area with the group (Tighnari, Amber, Cyno, Albedo, Sucrose, Klee and Collei), Paimon (or maybe Venti would be better) remarks on how the situation is a direct parallel to Collei's arc.

Collei represents the flower, frozen in time (and trauma) due to the Fatui, only to be saved by Amber (Pyro), who melted the "ice" and allowed her to start anew with Tighnari's (dendro) and Cyno's (electro) help.

This heartfelt moment is then crushed by Klee attempting to help with her bombs, accidentally killing the Regisvine that was lurking in the background, since it's technically an "Albedo in Dragonspine event" (not today).
