Some Colress Headcanons!

I saw some posted by @colress-commodore-enterprises and was inspired to write some of my own!

Colress squeaks when he's startled or flustered.

He is the second of three siblings: Lusamine is the eldest, Colress is the middle child, and Darach is the youngest.

Cynthia is his cousin; they get on very well.

Colress has long hair! It's mostly straight, but it does curl a bit at the ends. It falls to around his mid-back, but most people don't know about it because Colress usually ties it into a very low ponytail and stuffs it down the back of his shirt, along with brushing his fringe back.

Contrary to popular belief, his blue loopy is completely natural! Colour AND loop! It's a genetic quirk from his maternal side of the family.

Although absolutely terrible at looking after himself, Colress is absolutely amazing with children.

For whatever reason, Colress seems to trigger an instinctive feeling of safety in children. It's to the point where lost kids will approach him for help rather than the very-visible police officer.

On a particularly memorable occasion, Colress took a nap under the shade of a tree and woke up to being used as a pillow by a bunch of sleepy five-year olds.

Colress has quite the sweet tooth! Although fond of most sweets, his favourites are sherbet lemons.

He has been called a human Delcatty on several occasions. Colress didn’t understand why until Rosa showed him the 'Dex entries for said Pokémon.

He has quite a few scars, some larger than others. They're mostly from his experiments or machine mishaps, but he has a horizontal scar across his throat, courtesy of the Shadow Triad.

He is distressingly good at hiding his problems and/or when he needs help. The most notable instance of this was during his tenure as a scientist for Team Plasma. No one had picked up on the pit of apathy and loathing (directed both inwards and towards Plasma, especially Ghetsis) he had fallen into until Rosa all but kicked down his door and dragged the truth out of him.

He prefers to do the "Forehead Bonk of Love" to show Grimsley affection over kissing. He will, provided he's in the mood for it, but he greatly prefers the Forehead Bonk. Naturally, the Delcatty comparisons increased immensely.

Out of the entirety of Team Plasma, he only got on with (and liked) four of them: Aldith, Barret, Schwarz, and Weiss.

He struck up a delicate bond with Ghetsis' Hydreigon. Said Pokémon is now in his care and is basically a house pet. A very intimidating, very traumatised house pet, but a house pet nonetheless.

To Grimsley’s surprise, despite being abysmal at poker, Colress has a terrifying amount of luck when it comes to games that rely purely on luck. As in, win the roulette five times in a row lucky.

Grimsley jokingly calls him a lucky charm and has managed to coax Colress into joining him as an observer for his poker games in the hopes of his luck rubbing off on him. So far, the evidence is inconclusive.

Colress can't bake to save his life. The only baked good he can make is apple pie, and even then it has a 50-50 chance of going catastrophically wrong.

On the other hand, he is a brilliant cook!

Rosa sees him as a father figure, and he in turn sees her a daughter.

Colress LOVES plants. He's an avid gardener, and an anonymous someone keeps on entering him into gardening competitions. Not that he's complaining TOO much; the winnings provide some nice extra income.

It took a long time for him to stop flinching at the sound of someone walking with a cane.

Although very honest about what he did in Team Plasma, he is incredibly reluctant to reveal his personal experiences working for them. Looker can only assume they weren’t good; that scar along his throat is particularly telling.

Colress is actually a very anxious person; he's just very good at hiding it.

He gets on remarkably well with Looker. They inevitably butt heads over some things, but Colress can easily call the man a friend.

Despite being built like a noodle, Colress is stronger than he looks!

Colress used to babysit Lillie and Gladion for Lusamine, back when they were tiny.

He and Darach get along quite well. It's just that they're both so quiet and introverted that people think they're ignoring each other.

He and Lusamine bicker the most; it's usually friendly ribbing or silly spats, but sometimes things can turn nasty. They still love each other regardless.

Colress hums or quietly sings when he's happy during his work. The Frigate never had the luxury of hearing this.

When he squeaks, Colress can sound remarkably similar to squeaky Pokémon toys. On several occasions, Grimsley and Rosa have had to extract the man from underneath the fluffy excitement of their Houndoom and Arcanine.

He and Schwarz once made an unholy concoction they called "The Insomnia Shot". There's so much caffeine in it that only people with the highest tolerance can drink it, and only out of shot glasses. After being kept awake for four days, crashing, and sleeping for a week, the two vowed to never let its recipe see the light of day again.

I may add more as they occur to me.

They were fun to write, too!

Yo con Morty hasta la muerte. Blue es un clásico. Grimsley es un vampiro alcohólico con bonitos ojos, obvio me iba a gustar. Kalm, Ethan y Florian ocupan el mismo puesto en favoritismo. Con Silver, Gladion y Kieran es complicado: Silver es el más chiquito pero me gusta su actitud, Gladion y Kieran son los mayores y me gusta la temática de «lo que era VS lo que soy ahora». Al final en orden de favoritos decidí: Silver, Gladion y Kieran. GIOVANNI CASÉMONOS. Sycamore pudo ser reemplazado por Prof. Birch, ambos me gustan, pero me fui por Kalos. Darach: el mayordomo favorito de todos. Tío Wallace te quiero mucho. Serena es el único personaje por el que miré el anime después de OS. Kiaraway es MI chico, un amor de chico.

Y la razón por la que me levanto todas las mañanas: Archer 💙

The holidays were some of the only times Cynthia got to see her family.

One year, she came home to find toddler N and Zorua excited to see her, Darach, and Caitlin. Cyrus was nowhere to be seen. While Darach talked to some of the other villa staff and Caitlin played with N and Zorua, Cynthia looked for Cyrus.

She found him in their room, hunched over his desk, fast asleep, using paperwork as a pillow. She wasn't entirely surprised - in fact, she had oftentimes done the same with her research - but she felt a twinge of guilt. Had she been home, perhaps he wouldn't have to work so hard... she shook the thought from her head. She had a duty to her region. Cynthia placed her hand on Cyrus's back, and he awoke with a start. Though his eyes were still bleary, he could tell who was crouched down beside him. "Cynthia..." he murmured.

"Good morning," she greeted him. Though it wasn't morning, it didn't matter. For them, something so simple as this, waking up to and being woken up to by your lover, was more than enough.

Although Cyrus would go on to wake up, and he and Cynthia would talk about the mundane, Cynthia couldn't help but to feel a gnawing sense of dread. Something about Cyrus working so much for Team Plasma didn't sit quite right with her. So she told Cyrus, as they were approaching the living room, "If this holiday, you could promise me you won't work yourself too hard in the future, that would be the greatest gift I could ask for."

Cyrus wouldn't be able to promise that. For the day that he asked Ghetsis, his sons went missing, and his world turned upside down.

I have a feeling that if Smogon had a section for Pokémon Masters this team would be banned for being far too infuriating to counter.

Nate has constantly recharging Fly so he can stay out of attack range for nearly half the fight.

Darach can use Feather Dance to drop opponents’ attack into oblivion.

But the crown jewel who makes this team truly possible is Skyla. This girl… lemme tell you this girl…

-boots defense and speed with Take Flight and with sync grid has a chance to get the MP to max it out no problem

-has a sync move that gains power based on that speed boost she gets

-has a nice one move gauge bar attack to charge said sync move forever

But the best part? Potion. Master healer. MP refresh x2. That’s a 60% chance of MP refresh, which means you’re more likely to get another potion every time you use one than you are not to.

So you’ve got this Swanna that takes very little damage from every hit (especially when paired with Darach) and then can refill its health time and time again. Lugia eat your heart out; this girl is the Great Wall of Pokémon Masters.

Not bad for a sync pair that you get very early in the game!

Bad Future AU - Others

Been a little while but I'm back with Bad Future stuff. This time, some of the other names important characters I haven't mentioned yet. What are they up to in this alternate timeline? Let's get into that. If I've missed anyone you wanted to know about don't hesitate to ask.

Buck - Buck is working with Looker as his assistant and partner. They are not currently in Sinnoh as they are investigating crimes in Unova.

Palmer - Barry's dad desperately wanted a Battle Frontier. He was a powerful trainer with nothing to do. But the people he asked refused and he was left with nothing. He jumped at the opportunity to fight Hood but Hood's words rang with him. Why shouldn't he be able to create a world where he gets everything he wanted? As such he works with Hood in the shadows, doing a lot of the dirty work tracking people down and gathering info.

Other Frontier Brains - As mentioned they refused to join the Battle Frontier. They are mostly doing what they were doing before, mostly focused on self preservation (especially Darach looking after Caitlin), although Palmer did tell Hood about Thorton...

Johanna - Dawn's mom doesn't have major role change aside from the fact that she is still performing and is a major motivation for Dawn to do the same. This is especially true after Johanna hurts her ankle and can no longer entertain the masses.

Beating up Ghetsis rn. How DARE he manipulate N into thinking he lived in the forest before he "saved" him?? N did spend a lot of time in the forest towards the end of his time at Caitlin's villa, but he still lived at the villa. With Darach. And Caitlin. AND CYRUS.

Like okay look. Cyrus couldn't be there for his son because of how often Ghetsis had him scheduled to work (remember, Ghetsis had been planning N's kidnapping for a long time). So it makes sense for N to have no association that Cyrus is his father. But Caitlin and Darach were around too!! And Ghetsis STILL made N believe he grew up in the forest with only his Pokémon friends. With no person who cared about him. Thinking he might not even be human.

N could have had a better life. He could've grown up surrounded by both people and Pokémon who loved him. He could've understood from the get-go that people and Pokémon shared bonds of trust and companionship. That not every human was an evil Pokémon abuser. And to think, if he remained in Unova, he could've been a great help to Hilbert/Hilda in taking down Ghetsis and the rest of Team Plasma!! Instead of there being a battle between truth and ideals, Reshiram and Zekrom would've worked together with their respective trainers!!

Starting a riot against Ghetsis RN because we were ROBBED, I tell ya!!
