the wesley academy timeline is so inconsistent and makes no sense AT ALL and i know this is star trek where everything is inconsistent all the time (ESPECIALLY for dear wessie) but it makes me so mad. personally.

#it’s kind of implied that he goes in as a sophomore and is a sophomore in the game/first duty #sidenote i thought it was confirmed he was the only sophomore on nova squad. with nick being like yeah we chose you #even though you were young. and like nick is a senior i always assumed jean was too and that jaxa and josh were juniors #but he has to repeat the year at the end of that. meaning he’d be there for 3 more yesrs #AND that’s late season 5 every season is about a year and in journeys end (late season 7) he’s about to gradute #SO IT DOESNT ADD UPP I KNOW IT DOESNT MATTER. BUT IT MATTERS. to ME!!! #and also final mission he would enter as a sophomore (the academic year had already started) but then he’s STILL one a year later in s5 #AND IT DOESNT LINE UP AT ALL IF HE STARTS AS A FRESHMAN. because. it’s implied that his time on the enterprise means he’d skip a year #but he’s still obviously in his first year in the game and . I initially thought that “The Autopsy Garland” was referring to a garland of flowers, but I’ve since learned that it refers to Judy Garland. I had some difficulty choosing someone for this song, but I eventually landed on Fwhip, partially because of how this song connects to a later song in the album, as well as the specific headcanons a friend and I have. I think this card would be symbolic of losing a lot too early. I drew inspiration for the design from “The Emperor” in traditional tarot. Also! The liner notes starting here get quite interesting, as they begin to describe the room and situation of whoever is receiving a reading. Not really related to this art, I just think it’s interesting.

All Eternals Deck by The Mountain Goats is an album based on a fictional tarot card deck by the same name. Additional information on the deck is found in the liner notes of the album. Seeing as there are thirteen songs on the album and thirteen people who have been on Empires SMP, I thought it would be a fun project to create tarot cards based on S1 and S2 characters. Designs of the cards are inspired by traditional tarot decks, specifically Tarot of a Moon Garden and images from The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by Arthur Edward Waite.
