The State University System of Florida has at least two institutions with active National SJP chapters, according to Rodrigues. Citing state law that deems the knowing provision of material support to a terrorist group as a felony, he said that the two chapters cannot continue operating.
“These chapters exist under the headship of the National Students for Justice in Palestine, who distributed a toolkit identifying themselves as part of the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood,” the memo stated. “Based on the National SJP’s support of terrorism, in consultation with Governor DeSantis, the student chapters must be deactivated. These two student chapters may form another organization that complies with Florida state statutes and university policies. The two institutions should grant these two chapters a waiver for the fall deadlines, should reapplication take place.”
The measure will affect SJP chapters at the University of North Florida, located in Jacksonville, and Florida State University, located in Tallahassee.
Support for terrorism against Israeli civilians among SJP chapters is not new. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), for example, reported that SJP expressed on at least 10 occasions last year admiration for Leila Khaled, a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a US-designated terror group. She is known for previously hijacking two planes.
Other SJP chapters at the University of Texas, Dallas, New York University Law School, and the University of Massachusetts posted violent images containing PLFP’s logo and guns. In January, the University of Chicago’s SJP chapter honored Khairy Alqam — who murdered seven Israeli civilians exiting a synagogue in Jerusalem — in a collage titled “Honoring the Martyrs.”
DeSantis has taken previous steps to crack down on anti-Israel activity in Florida.

Hi everyone! I haven't seen a post about it on here yet, or really anywhere that's not Twitter, but there's a week-long strike from the 18th to the 25th for Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and every other country experiencing genocide. It started yesterday and I believe that it was organized / started by @alien_bunny_ on Twitter.
Also, it's a Monday, and the PLFP has requested a strike for Palestine every Monday, so please remember that as well!

I find it disgusting that pro Palestinian and HAMAS posts have their comments restricted.
Many pro Palestinian and HAMAS posts talking about it's freedom and so called illegal occupation of Israel on Gaza have their comments shut or restricted. Because they want to spread their narrative, because, they don't want anyone to even talk about Israelis. They are shouting about Humanity and rights and their near sightedness has failed to recognise the fact that Israel has the right to exist!
Its a well known fact that Islam does not tolerate the existence of other religions in an Area where Islam is primarily spread. Eversince, Israel's creation, Islamic countries have been preying and attacking on Israel like vultures.
Wokes and leftists and Gen Z tik tokers fail to see that. They are living in their own world of reels not recognising the fact that Israel was attacked! HAMAS had launched 5000 rockets! Can't you understand?? Those rockets were meant for murder, meant for the kill. Israelis could die. But it doesn't matter to pro Palestinian idiots..they are ready to overlook, ready to sacrifice Jews of Israel for a terrorist organisation like HAMAS. I don't know about you fools but, HAMAS has a history with murdering people, raping women, tearing their wombs to kill the fetus within. But, you all will overlook it shamelessly. That's what you all are. This is your dark side, this is your ugliness. Must I remind you, Popular Front for liberation of Palestine (PLFP) used to behead people, and play football with the head of the dead body. This is what you support. You support these people. Shameful

Now I do have a sort of inner dilemma. On one hand I have people, who whole a pro-Palestinian position and support hamas, as it is the resistance that fights against the oppression. And basically the only powerful resistance at the moment, as fatah and PLFP as the arts of PLO do not hold much power now. Especially in Gaza. These people say that if you support Palestinians, you have to support hamas too. On the other hand, there are people, who too support Palestinians and oppose Israeli occupation, but cannot be positive about hamas, naturally, because of their methods of attacking not only the idf, but also civillians. At the same time this group might be totally supportive of more leftist and secular orgs like PLO. Both types of people aren't really acceptive of each other's views. What do I think? I'm kind of in between. I certainly cannot excuse attacking unarmed civillians. Genuinely cannot support someone going and wanton murdering people out of revenge or punishment. Neither I think it's necessary for the liberation of Palestine. Ofcourse, depending on what exactly do you mean by that. I have seen those who want a change of power and deoccupation to a secular equal rights state(we all know that theocracy sucks irrespective of the religion) with Israelis staying and having majorly equal rights with Palestinians. And I have seen those who don't want to live side by side with their oppressor and want all the settler to leave. I understand the second position totally, but can I support it? Unfortunately no. So do I support hamas? Neither support, nor oppose. I know why does it exist. I know why do Palestinians support and join it. And what I really hate is when people say that if you don't support liberation "by anyways necessary" regardless of what will happen and how many people will die, you support the status quo. That's not true. I simply don't think that it's necessary to kill unarmed israeli civillians for the liberation. That's not even revenge because in this case you usually punish someone who did the crime, not their family members or anyone affiliated with them regardless of their responsibility and guilt level. That's some collective responsibility that never really ended well. At the same time I totally agree that on the part of Israelis peaceful coexistence with all the propaganda of hatred and fear that Israelis hold would be difficult to achieve. For example all those times that I have been debating with zionists and tried proving them wrong, the main problem wasn't even the denial of any oppression, but the fear that they have and how they are convinced that Palestinians and their supporters want to kill Jews. And not always that is because of racism etc, but because of fear mongering and often exploitation of the trauma of antisemitism.
So I have been thinking about all of this and what is right, what is wrong, what is the right thing to do.
