Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (known as Winning Eleven 10 in Japan and Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 in the U.S.) is a soccer simulation game developed by Konami. Released in 2006, it's part of the acclaimed Pro Evolution Soccer series, celebrated for its realistic gameplay and complex tactical depth. The game was available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, PC, and later, the PlayStation Portable (PSP).

I appreciated Konami's effort to adapt the series' hallmark gameplay for the PSP, enabling on-the-go access to PES's strategic and immersive football action. While this version upheld the core gameplay of its console counterparts, certain compromises were inevitable given the PSP's hardware constraints.

Graphically, PES 6 on the PSP was tailored to the device's smaller display, striving to preserve as much detail as possible from the console versions. It successfully delivered a respectable soccer simulation with commendable animations and player likenesses for its time.

The game also featured robust multiplayer capabilities, supporting local matches through the PSP's ad-hoc connection. This allowed players to engage in competitive play anywhere, maintaining the series' spirited soccer rivalry in a portable format.

Nonetheless, this version did have its drawbacks. It fell short of console versions in aspects such as graphics quality, the number of teams and stadiums, and animation fluidity. The PSP's compact controls presented challenges for players accustomed to the expansive controls of console gamepads, and the lack of trigger buttons restricted the use of advanced skill moves, necessitating simpler strategies to overcome defenses.

Despite these limitations, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 remained a standout title in the series and was arguably one of the best soccer games available for handheld devices at the time.

i've not really looked at this discourse very much but i found out the take "being early diagnosed with autism is a privilege" is something people, like, actually genuinely believe, and. uh.

I don't think that kids should be exclusively homeschooled, but I also don't think that kids should be going to a building with hundreds of people 5 days a week during a pandemic. It's one of the main reasons why it keeps spreading so rapidly and won't go away. They don't take any preventative measures at schools anymore (at least not around here). You got kids? You're getting sick. Your coworker has kids? You're getting sick.

Schools are back to counting attendance. You can't even keep your kid home long enough to recover from covid before sending them back. They literally send a "truancy" (police) officer to your house if you keep them home too often.

I feel like we could be doing something better. I'm not entirely sure what the solution is. But this isn't it.
