Holy hell spiders collecting dads like Pokémon…but shit imagine the papa bear rage Tsutey would feel when Quaritch came back and learning he TOOK Spider…his child was taken and I think he would scorch earth to get him back

if spider hadn't begged him on his hands and knees not to kill quaritch, he would have slit his throat; at that point, it wasn't because of who he was, who he worked for, none of that important stuff, it was because of the fact he put his hands on his kid, aggressively, and he got hurt.

the second he realized spider had been taken he was hunting down quaritch, he doesn't give two fucks what jake says, he's looking for that little shit. (context for the next part, I HC within this concept that tsu'tey was injured in the battle, but didn't die, so he's like disabled, and not in the best shape for a whole rescue mission, especially against the RDA). jakes trying of et him to stay home, offering to go out himself and tsu'teys like "oh, so now you care, know that you have to worry about me? why weren't you that willing to volunteer when a child was being held by those demons. I am going jake, I am getting me boy, and you will not be stopping me."

he almost cuts jakes throat out when he hears him worry more about spider giving up information then he is about spider's safety.

and then when he does track down spider (when the recoms are out in the field) he is wrapped up in both his relief and anger that he just scoops the boy up, baring his teeth to the team. he needs to hug his boy (and ease his own heart) before he can go about slaughtering them like animals.

though, I think if spider aked him to spare the team, to give them a chance to prove themselves as redeemed, to give them a chance to fight for The People, tsu-tey would, only cause he trusts and has a soft spot for the boy. does not quell his rage though ("I don't care if they changed, jake changed, and I still haven't stopped giving him shit. they hurt you, I get to be angry, skawng.")

Okay, but is it really too much to ask for to have a heroine who is not clumsy though? Just once can I have a heroine who is ethereally graceful? Or at least vaguely poised. One who doesn't trip directly into the hero's arms? Or who, if she does trip, manages to catch herself before he does? Maybe? One time? Please? It would be interesting for the sheer novelty of it.

what they don't tell you about making your own renpy game with your own art is just how hypnotizing it is seeing your own characters that you drew up against backgrounds you also drew in a VIDEO GAME!! It's amazing and addictive in the same way finishing a lego set is (for me at least), but BETTER because it's not just something i MADE (like a lego set) It's something i DREW!! AND its in a video game!!!

#villains are destined to die #i can't help it he has a character design that hits all of my likes T_T #in all seriousness though i do like all of the Eckharts for different reasons #Reynold after the attic scene where he has a moment of realization and does start to truly look out for Penny #and his hatred of her was understandable - he was 14 years old his little sister was missing a lookalike was brought in to be his new siste #and the lookalike prays that the og sister is never found/is already dead #that is a very good reason to become resentful! #meanwhile the duke is just neglectful. and knows he's neglectful and tries to (originally) make up for it #by letting Penny buy what she wants and run wild #but once he's forced to also come to terms with how he's been treating his daughter #you start to see that he's well aware of how he's messed up and he does actually really care about Penny as a daughter #and striving to do better #(i get the feeling that unlike Derrick he genuinely did not know the details of the incident with Emily) #meanwhile Derrick is..... Derrick. i love him but i also want to stab him #but the really biggest tragedy of it all is the isekai element #where the heroine finds out that while Penny's family was awful to her they are not as awful as her own #and are capable of treating her the way an adopted daughter should have been treated #but Penelope will never receive those affections and the heroine will never get this kind of closure from her own family
