These pendants are sold with bunk science claims, but we can use real science to prove how dangerous they are.
By filling a chamber with supersaturated alcohol vapor, any ionizing radioactive particle that jets through will cause a cloud to condense. And these "health" products pack thorium & burp radiation constantly. Yikes.

Love how many nuclear science papers in the period between 1986 and 1995 carry the general message of "well this is fucking awful, it should never have happened and Christ we hope it never happens again, but on the other hand this is fascinating"

BBC News: Scientists get closer to solving mystery of antimatter
BBC News - Scientists get closer to solving mystery of antimatter
Einstein was right. Antimatter falls downward, just like regular matter.

I’m dangerously close to going out to see Oppenheimer knowing that if I do I’ll be hyperfixated on nuclear physics and the only problem with that is the fact that EVERY TIME I STUDY PHYSICS AS AN OBSESSION I GO ABSOLUTELY FUCKING INSANE

The Universe is expanding
Dr Alfred Kroner, Prof of Geology & the Chairman of the Deptt of Geology at the Institute of Geosciences, Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany, said: “Thinking where Muhammad came from . . . I think it is almost impossible that he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because scientists have only found out within the last few years, with very complicated and advanced technological methods, that this is the case…… Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics fourteen hundred years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his own mind, for instance, that the earth and the heavens had the same origin….”
In 1924 a Swedish astronomer discovered that the universe is expanding. In June 2016 NASA and ESA scientists found that the universe is growing faster than thought earlier when Hubble Space Telescope provided some information in this matter.

Tell us an interesting chemistry fact!
Elements 99 (Einsteinium) and 100 (Fermium), of course named after Albert Einstein and Enrico Fermi, were discovered by dropping an atomic bomb filled with liquid deuterium (fuel for the fusion), liquid hydrogen (to cool it), Uranium and Plutonium into the ocean, and collecting parts of the mushroom cloud after the impact with fighter jets, bringing them quickly to a laboratory in New Mexico to analyse the rapidly decaying new created elements, thus discovering the by fusion of neutrons with Uranium created elements Es and Fm. One of the jets crashed into the sea due to the instruments failing because of the radiation.

You watched Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" and now want to learn more about some of the scientists that were involved and the history of the Manhattan Project? Then I recommend "Pandora's Keepers" by Brian VanDeMark. The book takes a closer look at not just J. Robert Oppenheimer, but also Hans Bethe, Niels Bohr, Arthur Compton, Enrico Fermi, Ernest Lawrence, Isidor Isaac Rabi, Leo Szilard and Edward Teller. The book is a history book more so than a science book, most of the scientific explanations mentioned around the making of the bomb, aren't too complex to understand for readers who aren't experts on the matter.
