Traditionally in Ireland, the 6th of January is Nollaig na mBan (Women's Christmas). Today, it would be the man's turn to do the household chores while the woman relaxes. Children even buy gifts especially for the females of the family (at least that's what happens in my family, I can't speak for everyone). Happy Women's Christmas everyone!

Nollaig na mBan (Women’s Christmas) is traditionally, in Ireland, the day where women gather to celebrate the 12th day of Christmas, leaving the men to pick up the household chores. Whether or not the chores are shared equally today, it is still a special time for women to come together and celebrate, which is what my awesome, amazing Mum is doing right now with a bunch of other awesome, amazing women.
