hey! if u don't mind asking, who are your favorite characters in no straight roads?

I honestly like pretty much every character in the game. I would just list them all, but someone already made that joke~ But I do want to give you a “real” answer, so I’ll put em in a few categories.

The characters I draw the most are easily Kliff and 1010, but that’s mostly a spite thing. Kliff is too prominent in the main storyline for the fandom to ignore him as much as they do. I think my ability to write compelling characters is a little lacking, but I think he deserves to be explored in depth as much as any of the other main characters... But, because I think about him so much now, he accidentally became one of the more compelling characters for me, which just makes me think about him and draw him more >m<;

I also love me some robots of all kinds, but my knee-jerk reaction is to reject 1010 since they’re the designated ikemen of the game. So it’s spite towards myself that I draw them to tell myself it’s okay that I like the pretty boys this time around XP

My favorite character design is absolutely DJSS. The *reason* I bought this game (besides the music being totally baller) is because he’s SO cool looking. When I first started making NSR fanart, he was the first character I ever drew. My exact quote was,”I love art styles with big chunky hands, and this massive lad has the chunkiest of them all” (I was also a little meaner about the game, but my opinion has cooled down a bit), and that just about sums it up. I want to draw him a lot more than I do, but I have trouble thinking of prompts for him~

Besides Kliff, my other favorite NPC is Yiruk. I think he’s a fun lil’scamp and if there is an NSR2, I think it’d be fun to see what happened to him since he started his own band because of B2J. Maybe he’ll be the new protagonist, who knows?

And I guess I’ll pick my favorite half of B2J to close out, and that is definitely Mayday. I think she’s such a fun character, and she’s also the one that changes the most through the story. I like seeing characters experience positive personal growth, and though just a tad sloppy, I think her arc is generally satisfying. I like Zuke too, but I think he’s just a little too static for me to love him as much as I love Mayday.

If there is a sequel for No Straight Roads, I can imagine an epic battle of the bands and artists at a different city. Imagine Tatiana rallying up her artists to go against different artists for the sake of which city stands, either Vinyl City or that unnamed city (you can think its name, I thought maybe Record City fits?). I wonder what ideas you guys think of who will counter B2J, DJSS, Sayu, Yinu, 1010, and lastly Tatiana. I already thought of a counter for the CEO and he's ice cold compared to Tati's fire element. He would be called Troy Frost, CEO of (any name, mines maybe Straight Roads Ahead). What do you guys think? This is my thoughts and I'm curious about yours. :p
