Hey Everyone!

It’s finally here! Today is the first of a two-day long celebration of Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th birthday. Unfortunately, most of my coverage of today’s government dinner will be spotty, as I am helping run a day-long convening at work today. I will post stuff when I can, and I will be on tomorrow!

For those interested in live coverage, NRK1 will have some live coverage at 7 PM Oslo time (1 PM Eastern US), and they will air clips from the dinner starting at 10:21 PM Oslo time (4:21 Eastern US). I have provided links, and it will be available to view outside of Norway.

I will share links to tomorrow’s coverage in a separate post.

Novelisations of each series have been published by Macmillan. The Killing has proved to be an international success, particularly in the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands, receiving numerous awards and nominations including a BAFTA Award and an International Emmy. It has also been singled out for the photography of its Danish setting, and for the acting ability of its cast. The series is noted for its plot twists, season-long storylines, dark tone and for giving equal emphasis to the stories of the murdered victim's family and the effect in political circles alongside the police investigation. Each fifty-minute episode covers twenty-four hours of the investigation. Each series follows a murder case day-by-day. The series is set in Copenhagen and revolves around Detective Inspector Sarah Lund ( Sofie Gråbøl). It premiered on the Danish national television channel DR1 on 7 January 2007, and has since been broadcast in several other countries. The Killing ( Danish: Forbrydelsen, lit.'The Crime') is a Danish police procedural drama television series created by Søren Sveistrup and produced by DR in co-production with ZDF Enterprises.

I: Tra 8 mesi darsi qualcosa di completamente nuovo. Grease sarà teatro Chateau Neuf e sarai sul palco. Chi interpreterai?

T: Farò la parte di Doody, che è uno dei ragazzi dei T-Birds.

I: È uno dei ragazzi cool?

T: Sono più Danny e Kenickie che hanno quel fascino, Doody e Roger li seguono ma non sono altrettanto cool.

I: Che legami hai com i musical e con Grease prima d'ora?

T: sono uno che fa musical già da prima. Ho iniziato un corso di musical a 15 anni ed è per quello che ora recito.

I: non lo sapevamo che lo fai già così tanto.

T: no, non molte persone lo sanno. Le persone pensano che gli attori televisivi o da Skam siano presi dalla strada per fare qualcosa, ma io sono un attore teatrale dall'inizio.

I: c'erano 800 persone che hanno fatto l'audizione per Grease e altri 15 che sono stati scelti. Cos'hai fatto per la tua audizione?

T: all'audizione abbiamo interpretato scene che avevano in mente per i nostri personaggi e abbiamo provato a recitare insieme per vedere chi si abbina con l'altro, è importante.

I: per la chimica.

T: sì la chimica hahah e c'era anche da cantare e ballare.

I: come si abbina con la recitazione?

T: è fisicamente estenuante. Forse è questo che mi preoccupa un po’.

I: sì e va avanti per molto tempo, la canzone dura quanto dura, non è che si può mettere in pausa per spostare le telecamere. Amo i musical. Cosa pensi dei musical?

T: Amo i musical, sono così sdolcinati e anche Grease lo è. I personaggi e le loro personalità sono particolari ma è quel genere su cui puoi sognare. È come un mondo ideale, è bellissimo. E unire canto, ballo e recitazione è divertente.

I: ma sei giovane, pensi che persone della tua età abbiano gli stessi pensieri alti riguardo ai musical come ce li hanno per la tv e il cinema?

I: domanda molto retorica

T: sì molto retorica hahah Gli attori di musical sono spesso visti dal basso e giudicati come “ non sono musicisti completi, o attori completi i ballerini completi” ma sono spesso così splendidamente bravi in tutto. E il cast di Grease è fantastico. Sarà pazzesco.

I: hai visto il film di Grease?

T: sì l'ho visto un paio di volte haha

I: ci sono molte persone che ti chiamano Isak invece che Tarjei per via di Skam?

T: no, non tra gli amici.

I: sì forse sarebbe stato un po’ strano. Ma le persone che non ti conoscono?

T: sì, più che altro lo gridano. Ed è strano perché di riflesso mi giro.

I: credo che voi ragazzi in SKAM lo renderete così credibile che non sembra siate presi senza esperienza. E per un attore dev'essere davvero figo. Ricevi il rispetto che meriti?

T: è molto interessante, è un po’ che ci penso al fatto di avere un'istruzione teatrale per ricevere rispetto. Ho 18 anni non ne ho avuto il tempo, ma sono felice che le persone rispettino il mio lavoro.

I: hai parlato di persone che urlano ‘Isak’, se esci per strada durante un giorno qualunque quanto segue più o meno…

T: dipende dove vado. Se esco per la Karl Johan sono fottuto, mi fermano per le foto. Sono stato anche a Bergen e ho fatto circa duecento selfie. Se uscivo con David, che interpreta Magnus, sono solo selfie, selfie, selfie. Tutte le volte ed essere fermato ti porta via del tempo…

I: 200 selfie. Sono più di quelli che pensavo.

I: vedi poi quei selfie online?

T: mi capita che magari i miei amici me li fanno vedere se qualcuno posta qualcosa di divertente.

I: SKAM è stato un successo anche in altri Paesi perciò persone da lontano sono volate in Norvegia per incontrarti. E hai ricevuto alcuni regali di cui ne hai portato qualcuno qui.

T: sono pessimo nelle spiegazioni, ma questo è un libro con scritto “Caro Tarjei”…

I: “ solo per te!”

T: è dal kosegruppa cinese ed è un po’ la storia della mia vita. “Il piccolo principe crebbe e recitò nei musical” e cose così.

I: ma che carino.

T: o inquietante. Se ci fosse una parola che unisce dolce ed inquietante sarebbe quella. I: hai altre cose lì?

T: “famoso liquore coreano” , me lo hanno regalato prima che compissi 18 anni. Credo che lo conserverò senza berlo. È un liquore che va mischiato con la birra. Questo invece è un libro di saluti dalla Cina. Credo che sia divertente riguardare queste cose quando sarò più vecchio.

I: ci sono molti biglietto con “cute” e “you’re cute I love” . Come ti fanno sentire?

T: mi sarebbe piaciuto fosse… non so, c'è molta attenzione sul mio aspetto, tipo i capelli e cose così…

I: è bello avere dei bei capelli, comunque

T: non mi sono mai sentito molto a mio agio con i miei capelli ma…

I: ora lo sei?

T: sì hahah ora esco senza nessun tipo di cappello.

I: come posso dire questo invece…hai iniziato a fare qualcosa per prenderti cura della tua privacy?

T: sì, ehm sì, non condivido nulla perciò non c'è molto da sapere.

I: non sei sui social o cose simili?

T: no, ho solo Facebook per me ed i miei amici, ma per il resto sono tranquillo.

I: cosa farai quest'estate quindi?

T: semplicemente lavorerò. Girerò dei film a dire la verità!

I: perciò nessuna pausa per te.

T: no

I: qualche progetto di film che ci vuoi anticipare?

T: niente che posso confermare ancora, temo

I: allora dovresti tornare quando poi potrai dircelo!
