I love living in America where my only option for watching figure skating is Peacock TV. Which is behind a $4.99/mo paywall (at the very least — except y’all might still be able to get the .99¢ Black Friday deal if y’all don’t already use peacock.) Do NOT be fooled, this is not an ad — this is just advice for watching our favorite sport “legally” 🙄🖕🏻 I mean, vpns aren’t illegal so 🤷

This “service” (if you can really call it that) also doesn’t let me watch the content I specifically bought the service FOR at any other time than live — when the vast majority of major events are not within a time schedule fit for the average American viewer. The only way I have found around this is to have the player constantly open on my phone; if the event is completely over but I’m still watching it and my screen hasn’t closed, you can still continue watching it. But only in those exact conditions.

Like come on, the Pairs event in my time zone (CST) starts at 4:45am… 😴😵‍💫🥱

And you know how they treat this sport? Here are all of the different sports that you can easily search for and watch (nearly all with replays from the last year, if not older!)

I must be missing something, right? Surely if I do a reasonable search for what I am looking for, I can find it. Right?

Okay, my mistake, I’ll be more specific.

Gotcha, gotcha, my bad, too specific I hear ya, I hear ya. What about just the event I’m going to be watching?

No? What if I scroll aaaaaaaallllll the way to the bottom? Nope, just cars still? Gotcha, gotcha okay um —

Oh okay, that’s progress!! I mean, it’s 4 correct events total, but it’s something! I found the free skates, so logically —

Oh. Okay then, uh… I guess that’s fine… OH WAIT I REMEMBER — there was an Olympic tab! Surely they’ll have some figure skating replays! No, but they do have most of the other sports… and 2 documentaries about figure skating in the 90s, so that’s kind of something.

Even if they don’t have replays, surely they’ll have some interviews, or maybe at least a Team USA skater will be an “Olympian in the Spotlight” or there will at the VERY least, be a video of Nathan Chen getting his gold or Hubbell/Donohue’s bronze maybe… (especially since they also have varied videos of all different sports with winners from all different countries…)

No. Do not bother wasting your time trying to find the answer out for yourself — the answer is a big fat no to all of the above.

Seriously, the only way to find any future or live skating events is to scroll to the “Sports” tab, and scroll down as far as it takes to reach this section.

To be completely honest, the only reason I originally subscribed to Peacock is because it was cheaper than a VPN. It is such a terrible streaming service, that the only reason I stay subscribed is because NBC pulled all of their shows that I watch off of other services.

The only redeemable thing I have to say about Peacock is that it managed to clear the low low low bar of being better than NBC Sports Gold. Which was somehow not worth the $4.99 I paid for 3 months — with unlimited replays, albeit in the summer after the figure skating season. But there is one constant comfort I look forward to every competition (or really, any time I use this app on any device 😊).

Me telling my partner: “What a completely flawless service, that I pay for, Peacock”

If I were the GM of The Bills

I was talking with my brother and a friend last night and It sounds crazy, but I still believe the bills can win out and get to the Super Bowl. And The AFC is so mediocre, its anyone's Conference to win.

I heard SiriusXM the other day and they said the same thing I've been saying. They are saying The Buffalo Bills if they make the playoffs will be the most dangerous team in the road to the Super Bowl. They even went to the extent to say in the NFC; no one impresses them to the point where they are an easy favorite.

The Bills remaining schedule is The Chiefs who have no edge protection on offense...the Chiefs really don't have WR gamebreakers....and the Cowboys have one of the weakest NFL schedules in the league making them look good....Yes, the cowboys offense is crazy good and their pass rush is phenomenal.....but, they don't have a tough schedule; almost losing to the (6-5) Seahawks last week.

The Bills and I told my family this and others when the schedule came out. I said if the Bills weren't careful, they'd find themselves battling for a Playoff spot due to:

#1. Their schedule (The Hardest in the NFL)

#2. How every team in their schedule was building their rosters

#3. The Bills Bye week didn't come until Week 13

#4. The game overseas

And so far, I've been spot on....but, even with my criticism...I was telling people that the Bills are so good; they can still do it....A big criticism of mine was the OL - this OL is doing a good enough job...we're set at OL for a couple of years....and pick up a draft pick on OL just to keep the roster building wheel turning.

So, For next season, If I was Brandon Beane I'd trade:

-Hyde

-Poyer

-Milano

-Taron Johnson

-Tre White

-Von Miller

-Diggs

-Elam (maybe) (I love him, but he got injured)(My rule is, the second a player is injury prone - trade him so you don't lose value)

And I'd try to get at least 4-7 additional draft picks in the early rounds.....I think these players still have value.....They are all over 30+ or peaking out and teams are looking to fill their depth charts.

My biggest thing on the Draft is you draft playmakers....Its an absolute intangible statistic.

I was explaining to my friend and my brother....Today's NFL players at the age of 29/30 are not worth keeping.....When we were kids the players longevity was age 35 and then a decline.....

Today's NFL everyone is running nearly a 4.4 at this point which means the speed of the game is so fast....you can't matchup a 30 year old whose losing range and speed vs. fresh young men who are all running 4.4s.

But, the other reason why I'd trade these players is because the Buffalo Bills have proven this season they can compete with any team with their depth chart....I love Kincaid, Dodson, Spector, Bernard, Cam Lewis, Taylor Rapp....And I can dive in of why I love these guys...

But, mind you The Buffalo Bills have lost EVERY GAME by 7 points or less and their point differential is +100.....PLUS 100 AT A 6-6 record!!!!

My only criticism from this past draft is they didn't get a SS/LB hybrid and the Bills didn't get another DB....but, at the trade deadline they Picked up a DB (Rasul Douglass) who I love.

If the Bills do this, this off-season, we will be building a dynasty. A serious dynasty....

And I'm tired of hearing Buffalo Bills fans bash Josh Allen and bash Brandon Beane....It is sickening to me.....especially after Josh Allen has broken NFL history by being & claiming #1 for the most TDs in his 1st 6 seasons (NFL History)

Not only that, but Josh Allen; yes he is 0-6 in OT....but, he is top 5 in the NFL since entering the league for game winning comebacks.

I mean these fans have to stop.

My ultimate dream is to be a GM of an NFL team or NFL owner. One day, someone will recognize my football intellect. I consider my intelligence of a GM at a Theo Epstein or Bill Polian level.

That's why I went to school for Sports Management. To do that, not to be a ticket salesman in the stadium or marketer or writer.
