Pattern test for Sew Fresh Quilts. My Darling Catholes (my name for it). I had a lot of fun making this one. Background is origami cats!
The striped one is my favorite 💕

Another one of my EPP quilted pieces I finished recently. This was originally going to be a larger piece in combination with the other one I did (see here) as a large panel, but I decided they would work better as independent projects.
This was my first foray into non-hexagonal paper piecing as well as designing my own EPP patterns and I've certainly learned a lot. Very tricky to get the pieces to work sometimes, but easy enough to design and fun to work on. I'd love to pattern out a full sized quilt using this style, but I imagine it would be much more difficult to complete. We'll see!
Thanks for looking :)

For potential art trade reasons, I took a photo of some of my quilts folded up on a chair and I love how it turned out!

Quilt #7!
IMAGE ID: A photograph of a finished quilt composed of naturally dyed fabrics. The quilting is red thread and the blocks are mostly half log cabins, with some random rectangles thrown in there. It’s mostly yellow and blue. END ID.

My finished coaster. I’ll be honest with you guys I hated almost every stitch. I made the top originally because I was so out of my mind anxious it was the only way I could find to sit still. And then I finished it because I hated it more unfinished than finished.
But now that it’s done I find it very charming and useful. Is it technically skilled? Absolutely not. I’d be embarrassed to show you the back. But it is the work of my own hands, and now I have a coaster for my sewing table which I’ve needed for almost a year.
There’s not really a huge lesson or moral here, just some honest thoughts about the struggle inherent in art

It’s all quilted and ready to have the edges bound! My binding fabric should be here today, so I’d say there are just two or three days until this project is complete.

I finally finished getting all of the ends buried on this baby quilt... Just gotta add the label and wash/dry so I can give baby Diana her Wonder Woman quilt.
The back is this gorgeous fabric I found on clearance at JoAnn's:

Don't look too closely - my seam allowances were not perfect and there are plenty of places where things don't line up perfectly, triangle points that got cut off, etc. But I absolutely love how it turned out.

I only make tie-quilts from mostly donated materials. I've been quilting on and off for two whole years now!
Right now I am on a bit of a hiatus as I focus on school and work. I tend to mostly take pictures BEFORE I've actually put them together, so that's on me lol.
All of them are gifts or donations.

Can’t you see him looking through the woods? I used a fawn Minky for the backing. It’s ready to head out to it’s new home too.

Haven’t been able to draw, so all my creative energy has been going into sewing instead
Here’s a decorative EPP piece I worked on last month for a family member.

Quilt #5! All naturally dyed. I’m definitely going to keep using natural dyes. My next project is an all blue baby quilt for my cousin’s kid, but shhh, don’t tell her. It’s a surprise!
IMAGE ID: The first image is patchwork quilt made of naturally dyed fabric, mostly using rectangle shapes, lying on a wood floor. A pale skinned foot is visible. The second image is of the back of the same quilt. The backing is all pale blue and it’s bound with yellow. END ID.
