In my previous post, I talked about games I have stopped playing. In this post, I am going to talk about my mobile games.
If you have read my previous post, you will know that most of the ratings I gave are below 5 ⭐. That is to be expected since they are games I have stopped playing. But just to note that the games listed in this post and my next post are not immune to being below 5 ⭐, but I don’t think it would drop below 3 ⭐ otherwise, I would think I am crazy.
Let’s get on with it!
1️⃣ Sky Children of the Light

This game is a very cozy game. One of the best relaxing games to have existed. But it also does come with a fair share of its own troubles.
This game is basically a social game where you will meet diverse players from all over the world. You get to play together, cause trouble together, and protect each other. Otherwise, you are just basically going through realms, saving spirits and sacrificing yourself at the end.
This game is among my top list but it does get to the point where you will have to take breaks from time to time. The game can be repetitive depending on how you play it. If you have a huge circle of friends who constantly comes online, then the game would definitely not be boring. But if you are mostly a solo player, then the game can become boring.
Rating: 8⭐/10
TLDR: A very cozy game but need lots of friends to make it interesting.
2️⃣ Pokemon Go
(Picture Source: Pokemon Go thru’ Google Image Search)
It was once an immensely popular game because it allows players to catch Pokemon in the real world via AR.
I find myself going back to the game from time to time simply because there is no other games that provides the same experience as this. Sure, there are lots of other Pokemon games where you can explore and catch, but this game is different. It allows you to travel to any part of the world just to catch, kind of like a first hand experience.
However, this game is more repetitive than Sky. In Sky, you meet real life players. In Pokemon Go, it’s just you and you alone in the game. The only time you get to meet players in the game is when you are doing gym battles or raids.
I do enjoy the game myself, but there are moments when I felt that it was too boring. As I have mentioned earlier, I find myself going back to the game countless times after taking a long hiatus from it. Let’s just say that it is one of a kind.
Rating: 6⭐/10
TLDR: A very unique experience but can be very repetitive over time.
3️⃣ Monster Super League
(Picture Source: Android Community thru’ Google Image Search)
It is one of the lesser known games. It is basically Pokemon and gacha mashed together.
The story is that you, the player, got teleported to this world and your main purpose is to protect the peace of the world against the Order of Chaos who seeks to maintain destruction in the world. In order to protect the peace, you have to explore, capture, and train the monsters call Astromons and participate in the Astromon League.
Yes, the story itself is super redundant but I really like the plot twist towards the end despite having guessed it already.
To be honest, the game isn’t very fantastic, but it holds my attention because of the game mechanics.
Firstly, the game is F2P-friendly. Yes, it may not seem like it at first but it is F2P friendly. I have not spend a single dime on this game. Secondly, the game is fairly easy. You may struggle at first because you have yet to maxed out your Astromons’ levels and gems, but once you got at least 3 Astromons maxed out, the game is just easy and fun to play.
Thirdly, you don’t have to manually grind. The game has a system that helps you to auto-battle 50 times in one stage. I use that feature for when I need to level up my Astromons. Also, for busy people like me, it is a great feature to have because I can focus on other stuff while the game does it thing. You just need to check on it from time to time because the game automatically stops the auto-battle feature if it encounters rare, legendary or exotic Astromons.
Rating: 7⭐/10
TLDR: To be honest, not a very impressive game but the auto-battle feature is a wonderful thing to have to grind.
4️⃣ Cookie Run Kingdom
(Picture Source: Cookie Run Kingdom Wiki Fandom thru’ Google Image Search)
Yes, the game is from the once popular game Ovenbreak. Instead of the usual running and sliding just to escape the witch’s hut, the game is more RPG-centered.
This game follows GingerBrave and his friends to discover the lost Vanilla Kingdom. Well.. that’s technically all I know since I started this game around the beginning of this month.
But the game has lots of adorable cookies to collect through the gacha feature and you would also get to decorate your kingdom. This game is so adorable that you will be craving for cookies all the time...
And you don’t have to worry about spending real money in this game. Apart from the cookie cutters the game provides you to pull on the gacha, the game is very generous with its gems. I have once spent almost all of my gems on the gacha (it’s 3000 gems for a ten pull) and after a few more minutes of playing, I already have 4000 gems in my pockets.
I am not sure how the end game will look like but I do have the intention of recording the story and uploading it on my YouTube channel, like how I am doing for my Genshin stories.
The only thing I dislike about this game is the inconsistency of the voice acting. What I mean is that the game just suddenly cuts off the audio after a certain chapter in the game and all you will hear next is the grunts and chuckles of the voice actors. I mean, what is the point of giving the cookies voices when you are not going to have audio for the rest of the main story?
Rating: 8⭐/10
TLDR: A very adorable game but the developers need to work on the consistency of the voice acting in the main story chapters.
