The Crowns
Tumblr media
💎 1. MEADOWGLADE.
Oh, you undoubtedly recognized this elegant crown. The Topaz Crown is the symbol of power in Meadowglade. It is worn by its karhs, starting with Kargo himself. He commissioned a "crown that outshines the Stars" in desire to emphasize his greatness.
🌸 2. WOODLANDS.
As graceful and delicate as the spirits of the lynxes that wore it. Woodlands crown was stolen after the deaths of Bachwurt and Geoda, Iktina's parents. The animals saw this as a bad omen, but the little lynx was not upset at all. She wove herself a wreath of fresh flowers to replace the missing one. Where the crown is now, no one knows.
🌳 3. HERBAWAY.
Oak motifs, closely woven into the country's history, are of course reflected in the crown as well. Mainly the Acorn Wreath symbolizes Broskhadome itself - the capital of Herbaway, built in the branches of a huge oak. It was grown from an acorn by the first Aldreve, Odga-Trevva.
🗻 4. FOREFROST.
A one-horned Crown stretching to the sky like a snow-capped peak. Its foot is drenched in red to commemorate the sacrifice of the first Aldrekh Turg, who spilled his blood for Forefrost during the Great Biting.
☀ 5. BLUEDAWNING.
The waters of great Lake Vazhyan give off a mist, in which the Sun at dawn appears shining blue. This phenomenon  has become the symbol of the country. Bluedawning is famous for glass production, so their crown is also made of glass. It depicts the way the sun rises over Vazhyan, piercing the blue haze.
🍂 6. SLEEKGROVE.
Sleekgrove is ruled by Blueflare,  a she-wolf whose forehead is adorned with the Three-Leafed Wreath. The three autumn leaves symbolize the first aldrekh and his two children, with whom the history of the country began.
🌊 7. GALESALT AND EARTHENSALT.
These countries, though they have a border, used to be united and called Solevia. They are ruled by two sisters who commissioned these crowns.
They were given the names Amber Crown and Coral Crown, and the aldreves are also referred to by the commons as the Amber Aldreve and Coral Aldreve. There is also the Crown of Pearls, worn by their mother Ienidale while Solevia was still Solevia.

Yak Carpgills
A stoat, born in an ordinary family of fisherbeasts, since his cubhood unwilling to change his coat from winter white to summer brown. He angered Firstmarten, he defeated Sunken Dread, he can breathe underwater and was awarded with a constellation of his own - this is all Yak Carpgills - the patron saint of fisher-folk and those mustelids whose life and activities are connected with water.
Tumblr media
Do you know why in Bluedawning the dawns are blue?
Like a petal of a forget-me-not flower, falling on an emerald leaf, Vazhyan Lake sparkles in its green framing. At dawn a blue mist rises from azure waters, and the sun rises above this eye of the forest, piercing the clouds of mist with its cool rays. As if shrouded in a blue shawl, the Sun rises higher and higher, and then throws it down onto the green covering.
Few of the beasts now remember that the beautiful blue haze over the lake is the blood of  Sunken Dread, still evaporating from the surface of its waters.
There once lived a saber-tooth with a greedy heart. She fooled and robbed many animals for gold. And in the end, she paid for it. They poisoned her food with sleeping herbs, tied her up and threw her into the Vazhyan Lake.
The saber-toothed cat drowned, but she could not get to the Underworld, as she was supposed to. Her body fell into the thick silt and got stuck in it. Even her soul was held back by this thick underwater tar. Her spirit could not go to the Skynesting, and it remained with her bones.
Thanks to her iron will and the desire to survive at all costs, her soul made the dead body move again, although it took many years to try. In time, the body grew flesh, and Bluedawning gained a  monster named Sunken Dread, devouring anything it could get its fangs on.
Young Yaxi never liked changing his coat from winter to summer, and wanted to be of a shiny white color all his life. It never happened, and he complained and whined to Firstmarten, and scolded her, and destroyed her idols, trying to get her attention. One day, his wish came true. One winter, Yak stood before Firstmarten's idol and gazed at her dangling beady eyes. He always began his desecration with those. Yaxi rushed at the beads, but suddenly a sheaf of ash burst from behind the wooden head and engulfed the stoat's head and neck. "Now you will have the same coat in both summer and winter," a voice rang in his ears. So Yaxi remained ugly - white with a black head and neck. And he never shed his coat again. In summer all prey saw him from a mile away. In winter it was a little easier,  when he could pretend to be a black twig sticking out of snow. But since then, his life has gone awry.
Tumblr media
So he decided to make amends to the Skynesting. He went to search for a heroic deed to perform, but he didn't have to go far. There was a monster swimming right in Vazhyan Lake that was hunting the locals. It took a lot of strength, intelligence and time to figure out how to defeat the saber-toothed creature. And he did it. The finally dead Dread sank to the bottom, and now nothing prevented it from going to the afterlife. As a reward, the ermine took away Sunken Dread's eyes, which shrank many times and revealed an amazing magic: the one who carries them can  breathe underwater. It is believed that this is because they retain a part of the iron will of the saber-tooth. Its flesh scattered in myriad pieces, and Vazhyan absorbed its blue color forever.
The fish reappeared in Vazhyan Lake, and the beasts of the water began fishing again. Yaxi, who was named Yak Carpgills after his feat, helped them for the rest of his life and protected the lake. He also invented many different tackles and baits to make fishing easier.
He never changed his coat like an ordinary ermine, but all his life he apologized to the FirstMarten and made idols for her. Because of his coloring, Yak was not good at hunting, and this played a significant role in his choice of fishing as a way of living.

Parrg-Lavata
When she was alive, Sunken Dread was a very pretty but fierce mlorvy named Parrg-Lavata. She held the whole neighborhood in fear and pestered the animals on the road, demanding that they pay for a pass.
Parrg-Lavata always remained a cheerful and mischievous saber-tooth, in love with life. She knew was constantly telling jokes, and was especially fond of telling those to her victims. She never hesitated to give them a good thrashing if they did not pay or laugh at her tales.
Tumblr media
Parrg-Lavata had a whole gang of henchbeasts that made the all of Bluedawning howl and wail.
But the gray Mlorvy's disregard for her allies was what finally ruined her. She allowed herself to be rude and deceitful when dividing the loot, never considered anyone's interests and violently, sometimes bloodily, stopped any efforts to question her authority. That is why no one came to her aid when her allies, tired of plundering, raided the huge saber-toothed cat. Parrg-Lavata was poisoned with sleeping herbs, tied up and thrown into the waters of Lake Vazhyan...
"The saber-toothed cat drowned, but she could not get to the Underworld, as she was supposed to.
In time, the body grew flesh, and Bluedawning gained a  monster named Sunken Dread, devouring anything it could get its fangs on."
___________
Parrg-Lavata was a Heavy Mlorvy, and they have an old tradition of naming cubs. The name always consists of two parts: in females the second part of the name is the first part of the mother's name. Similarly with males, who inherit their father's name. Thus, heavy mlorvies have both patronym and matronyms.
It is very important to alternate the endings of the names of parents and offspring. If a mlorvi's name ends in a consonant, she will give her daughter a name ending in a vowel. And her granddaughter will have a name ending in a consonant again.
That is, the name of Parrg-Lavata's mother was Lavata-Mavan, and her grandmother's name was Mavan-Chotera.
When addressing a heavy Mlorvi, both parts of the name are always used, and only parents, brothers, sisters and partner are allowed to omit the patronymic or matronymic, calling their relatives by the first part only.
