Volume/headphone warning.
Wanted to try and pay homage to perhaps the best tweet in existence. Any and all credit goes to Patricia Lockwood for the original post and picture. And, of course, to darling, affronted Miette.

Well out of nowhere my Miette voice got a startling amount of notes and a couple of people mentioned this post, as well as others in the growing canon of melodramatic cats. Melodramaticats.
Original post by froody pictured below. Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. Overacting by me.

I don’t remember where I saw this comic but I am so very glad I did. I think it actually might be my favourite depiction of how cats talk - apart from Miette. Not sure why. Maybe its not an individual thing. It just all comes together in a way that really tickles me.

Truly, it’s a cruel world for the housecat.
Original, hilarious post by crimsonwastes pictured below. (I feel like there are a lot of playwrights who could learn from the spectacular use of punctuation and capitals here. Like, you know what it sounds like even without me swanning about in audio.)

I think what I love about this one is the first time I read it I could hear the stern parental “now you listen here” tone in the response to the cat’s indignancy.

Turns out channeling the raw dramatic power and confidence of cats is kind of therapeutic in these times.

Music of The Fears: Track 14. Coronation - A Song for The Eye
200 years of plotting, planning, watching, waiting. Finally, your Archive returns from the fog, complete. But still oblivious. For as much as he Knows, it will do him little good when he lowers his guard, and picks up a statement, and is beholden to your revelations. Complete and oblivious you usher him across the Rubicon between a world unclaimed, and a world that is yours.
It seems fitting that you be the last person to tell a secret. Everyone used to have them. But not anymore. Not from Jonah Magnus.

Aaaaaaand we’re done! Well, we’re done with the Fears. As a palette cleanser from all the sad, I have a metric tonne of bloopers to round things out. That, and a post-mortem will be along in the coming days.
This is surreal. Having these songs finished was wild enough, having officially put them all out is hard to get my brain around. If you’ve read my descriptions, you know I REALLY like to talk about these, and I could definitely go on so it’s probably best to end here with: Thank you for listening. Seriously. Thanks.

In the Mood for Chaos: A Riverdale Roasting and Recap Podcast
Evelyn has seen every episode of Riverdale. Miranda hasn't seen a single one. Each week, they traverse the winding, trash-lined road that is the absolutely bonkers plot of CW's hit series: Riverdale. Miranda gets 3 screencaps handpicked by Evelyn, and the episode title to try and predict what's going to happen this week. Evelyn then guides her through what actually happens. And it's always, ALWAYS worse than either of them could have imagined.
Plugging this escapist insanity for these troubled times again here because we’ve reached a point of no return with this episode. I was so worked up after we finished recording I literally gave myself the hiccups.
If you want to hear things get really, truly, batshit, and/or hear something inside me irrevocably shatter, here’s a link!
Also available on Spotify, Apple, and Google (And here’s our Twitter)

Music of the Fears:  Track 4. The Echoes of Infinity - A Song for The Vast
We’ve already heard from The Buried, then had a little palette cleanser of orgiastic pyromania, so now it seems only fair that we hear from an accolade of The Falling Titan. (God, that’s a good name.)

Music of the Fears Track 1: Under the Big Top - A Song for The Stranger
Hi. My name is Miranda and over the summer I made an album.
I have never in my life attempted something of this scale but God knows I had the time. So here we are. 14 songs  about and for the entities and characters in the universe of Rusty Quill’s podcast The Magnus Archives.
I am not an active participant in most fandoms. I’ll post ‘til the good cows come home about Shakespeare and whatnot but he’s long dead, and it doesn’t feel as intimidating. Rusty Quill, and their storytellers have inspired me to fight that intimidation.
So with that being said: Hello RQ fandom. It’s very, very nice to meet you.

Music of The Fears:  Track 11. Patience - A Song for The End
The chase is over now. The prey comes to my doorstep. And then, so does the hunter. And the rest of the pack. And the watchers. And the innocent. And the guilty. My threshold is never empty, and neither is the stream of those who enter. Not until I have greeted them all. Every single one.

Which Fear comes next? I’m quite certain I’ve already told you. Don’t you remember? I must have. Didn’t I?

Another Paul Simon cover. Had fun with trying to set differing tones with harmonies for this one. Short, sweet, sad little song that I had to get out before the end of April because it would feel weird to post in any other month.

Music of The Fears: Track 13.  Nothing - A Song for The Lonely
No more chaos. No more ups and downs. No more aching, gaping hole in your chest. Now there’s...not much of anything, really. Just the fog. And the silence. And you. Alone.
