During her third trimester of pregnancy, Natalie Phelps, then 38, began experiencing a lot of pain in her lower back and pelvis, and around her rectum. Her doctor suspected it was hemorrhoids and said it would likely go away after she gave birth. But the pain worsened after delivery, and next came the “unusual bowel movements,” she told TODAY. At one point, a doctor recommended she see a therapist because she believed Phelps' symptoms were psychosomatic; she was under a lot of stress after giving birth two weeks early in March 2020, and she was caring for two kids during pandemic lockdown. Months later, she had a colonoscopy and finally learned what was wrong. “I went into the colonoscopy thinking I was going to wake up with colitis or Crohn’s — something not fun, but not cancer,” Phelps, now 40, from Bainbridge Island, Washington, said. “I woke up from the colonoscopy and they said, ‘We found a very large tumor, and it is almost 100% cancer.”

📹 With over one million displaced Palestinians now stuffed into the Rafah area, the vast majority of civilians in Gaza now live in temporary housing: in tents, schools, hospitals, and refugee camps, all of which remain under regular air, missile, drone, and sniper-fire by the Israeli occupation ground, naval and air forces.

As result, public services and healthcare, such as the maternity clinic above, have been set up in a makeshift, jury-rigged way, inside a tent in the above case.

The doctor, interviewed in the video above, discusses why he's erected this maternity clinic tent, and responds by telling the story of his wife, who had problems during her pregnancy due to being unable to receive healthcare during a previous Israeli war on Gaza. He tells how his daughter developed a respiratory illness soon after birth as a result.

such a shame that edmure hasn't yet gotten to meet the only member of his family truly proud of his great victory of the stone mill. so proud she even believed he could destroy tywin on an open battlefield too! ofc if she knew robb/catelyn/brynden blackfish's opinion on all that, she'd no doubt be influenced by her mother's and big brother's thoughts of the uncle she hadn't met before, but it's not like either is in any position to tell her now. maybe that's the one silver lining of the rw, if/when edmure and arya there's nothing to stop her congratulating him on his defeat of tywin lannister.
