*Madhur Bhandarkar’s Marathi film Circuitt premiere last night; Raj Babbar, Darshan Kumar,Rashmi Desai & many others graced it*
‘Circuitt’ is an upcoming Marathi film directed by Aakash Pendharkar and produced by Madhur Bhandarkar, Prabhakar Parab, Paragg Mehta and Ameet Dogra. All set to release on April 7, 2023, the movie stars Hruta Durgula, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, and Ramesh Pardeshi in the lead roles.
The film's title ‘Circuitt’ refers to the circuit of life, which is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and unexpected events. The film revolves around the life of a young couple, played by Hruta Durgula and Vaibhav Tatwawadi, who face various challenges and obstacles in their journey of love and life. Ramesh Pardeshi plays a pivotal role in the movie, and his character adds a different dimension to the story.
GM Modular, one of the leading electrical solutions providers in India, has partnered with the film as the brand partner. The company has been associated with several successful films in the past like Tadap and Uunchai. To celebrate the association, GM organised a special screening on 6th April at PVR, Juhu. More than 400 people were present at the special screening. Actors of the film Circuitt, Hruta Durgula and Vaibhav Tatwawadi, producer Madhur Bhandarkar & PArag mehta were amongst the other stars who graced the occasion.The event was hosted by well known RJ Divya Solgama.

Bollywood is riding high on the success of the sequels. The commercial viability of the same propels the filmmakers to adopt the strategy of sequels. As Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion clocked 10 years of its release, Bhandarkar announced his plans to make a sequel of the film.
About the same, Bhandarkar revealed to a leading daily, "I have the concept of Fashion 2 ready with me. There are quite a few stories that I have in mind, all inspired from the real world. I always make films based on real life stories that are relevant to the society. So I won't be shifting focus this time either but it's at a very nascent stage and we will start developing the story and script sometime soon."
Adding further, he said, "Making sequels never interested me. I want my films to end on a positive and triumphant note. Many a time, I have been asked why didn't I make sequels to Chandni Bar, Page 3 or Corporate and I had told them that I never felt the need to. As far as Fashion is concerned, I had been thinking about the other stories related to the world. The film was initially three hours and 10 minutes long and I had to chop it down to two hours and 35 minutes. So there are several stories from the world that still need to be told."
When asked to comment about the casting of Fashion, he said, "All my actors contributed to the film and did more than what was expected of them. Priyanka, Kangana and Mugdha, at times would deliver so well in front of the camera that it would amaze everyone. Now that the film turns 10, I am recalling all the memories. While we were shooting the film, it was really difficult for me to direct the fashion shows. At times, it was emotional to shoot certain scenes, like the one where Priyanka walks the ramp even after being informed that her friend, Kangana, is no more, or the scene where Kangana is walking the ramp confidently even after being hit black and blue by her boyfriend."

Is sequel to Fashion on the cards?
Madhur Bhandarkar said that he has the concept already ready for Fashion 2. However he added that it was still at a very nascent stage. He added that he has quite a few stories all inspired from the real world in his mind already and also added that even the concept of Fashion 2 is ready. He believes in making movies inspired from the real life stories and this time too he will not be deviating from the same. However the concept of fashion 2 is still at a very nascent stage and soon he would be starting to develop the story as well as the script.
Working on a sequel is a big challenge for Madhur Bhandarkar.
Madhur Bhandarkar has never done a sequel in his career and Fashion 2 being the first sequel for him is a huge challenge in itself. Talking about sequels he mentioned that sequels never excited him as he never felt a need for the same. Whatever films he has done are complete in themselves and do not need a sequel. But as far as Fashion is concerned there are other stories in the industry which he feels needs to be portrayed to the world. Besides, Fashion itself was originally a 3 hour 10 minutes movie which he had to cut short to 2 hour 35 minutes. This means there is a lot more that can be told and that’s the reason he will be attempting the sequel this time.
