Grundsteinlegung für den neuen Weleda Logistik-Campus

Das neue Weleda Logistik-Campus soll Leuchtturm der Nachhaltigkeit sein – in ökonomischer,  ökologischer und sozialer Hinsicht. Heute wird der Grundstein gelegt für das entstehende Industriegelände, das sowohl Pilot als auch Vorbild sein will – für den Firmenstandort Schwäbisch Gmünd, den Ostalbkreis und das Land Baden-Württemberg. Das Planungsteam ist sich einig: Jedes Bauvorhaben ist immer auch ein Eingriff in die Natur. Deshalb gehen wir so achtsam wie möglich vor – bebauen nur so wenig Fläche wie nötig und verwenden natürliche Materialien wie Holz und Stampflehm. Gesteinsmaterial für die Verkehrsflächen brechen wir direkt vor Ort. Naturnahe Außenanlagen sorgen mit heimischen Gehölzen und Kräutern für größtmögliche Biodiversität. Weiterlesen >

Polis Award 1. Platz 'Ökologische Wirklichkeit' für das Weleda Logistik- & Produktionszentrum Schwäbisch Gmünd

Das Team um die Architekten der Michelgroup GmbH, Ulm zielt auf einen möglichst geringen CO2-Fußabdruck und das Zertifikat DGNB-Platin. So wird der Lehm aus der Baugrube als Baumaterial verwendet und Holz selbst für Hochregallager. Dank gezielter Energieeffizienz versorgt sich der Komplex selbst mit erneuerbarer Energie aus Geothermie und Photovoltaik. Das polis Magazin für Urban Development berichtet über Entwicklungen und Trends im Städtebau und in der Immobilienwirtschaft. Der polis Award möchte engagierten und kooperative Lösungen für die Herausforderungen, denen sich die Stadt der Zukunft zu stellen hat, besondere Anerkennung und Aufmerksamkeit schenken. Für die Kategorie »Ökologische Wirklichkeit« werden seit 2022 Projekte mit einem außergewöhnlich nachhaltigen Ansatz gesucht und Auszeichnungen vergeben.

Polis Award 1st place 'Ökologische Wirklichkeit' for the Weleda Logistic & Production Center Schwäbisch Gmünd

The team led by the architects of Michelgroup GmbH, Ulm, aims for the lowest possible carbon footprint and the DGNB Platinum certification. The clayey subsoil from the excavation pit is used as building material, and wood is used even for high-bay warehouses. Thanks to targeted energy efficiency measures, the complex is self-sufficient in renewable energy from geothermal and photovoltaic sources.

The polis Magazine for Urban Development reports on developments and trends in urban planning and real estate. The polis Award aims to recognize and draw attention to dedicated and cooperative solutions for the challenges that the city of the future must face. Since 2022, projects with an exceptionally sustainable approach are sought and awarded in the category »Ökologische Wirklichkeit« i.e. ecological reality.

Transsolar and Weleda will be on TV at the end of August, presented in the series "Nachhaltige Unternehmen im Ländle" (Sustainable companies in the state Baden-Württemberg) by SWR.
