Look I understand people will ship lunella with kid Kerr Marvin and I like him and they do have chemistry i see that. How wild would it be if each of Lunella's friends figured out she was Moon Girl? Like the STEM kids, the volleyball team, and Eduardo knew but thought they were the only ones aware of it.

Lunella and Casey would be oblivious to it, but Marvin would realize each friend group would think they're the only ones to know Lunella's superhero identity.

While I'm sure he would tell them about it, I just think it would be way funnier if he didn't and just watch it all play out.

I realized something awhile ago.

Out of all the kids in Lunella's class, Eduardo has the least looking formal attire. Which is basically a dress shirt with a loosened tie and black pants.

We see him with a noticeable different formal outfit in Skip this Ad...olescence though.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur season 2!!!

Alright so episode 12 of mgadd was the school dance episode and I have some thoughts.

This applies mostly to this specific episode but some of it applies to the whole season so far. I understand and appreciate the overall message being conveyed by the episode. About how you should start dating when you're comfortable and how there's no rush.

However the message gets undermined by the simple fact the Marvin exists to be Lunellas love interest.

I don't dislike Marvin but him being exactly like Lunella is annoying. I don't like it and this happens a lot, when shows introduce a love interest who is exactly like the main character.

Once again nothing against Marvin but it's just annoying. Especially since it is the second season. If you want a character to have a love interest introduce them in season 1.

I get it they're both socially awkward and Don't understand social ques but still they're the same person only difference being one is a boy and the other is a girl. Marvin being an alien with daddy issues was interesting until it gets resolved immediately. Other wise these two have no conflict and no obstacles to overcome they're boring.

Now onto my personal gripe about the episode in question.

They did my boy eduardo dirty.

Why???

Eduardo has been a reoccurring background character since the very first episode. Now I've never shipped him with Lu but it was established early on that he had a crush on her.

If ed was a bully type character then I wouldn't care about him. But that's not his archetype he's a misunderstood class clown.

This is episode 12 of season 2 and this is our first time even hearing him speak. Reminder Marvin was introduced in like episode 4 or something. In the episode Lunellas friends tell her she should go with them as a group to the dance, but when they all end up with dates Lu feels left out and also tries to find a date. And she asks out Eduardo who tells her he's already been asked.

It has a very cute sequence where he images them as sailormoon and tuxedo mask.

In the end Lunella goes alone which is fine. Her outfit is very cute. Then Marvin shows up and we get jealous Eduardo. I also want to say that Mar didn't show up to be her date to the dance he needed help. Anyway Ed is jealous and upset everytime we see him on screen.

Which I really hope isn't what his character is going to be boiled down to especially after they developed him so well in season 1. I don't want him and Lu to end up together I just want this character to have the respect that it had in season 1 instead of making him miserable.

Just look at who he's at the dance with that terrible blonde girl who insulted Lunellas hair in season 1.

I just can't get behind Lunella and Marvin because it feels forced and rushed. It's annoying that they just made a carbon copy of Lu for a love interest. That's kind of lazy.

Otherwise the season has been fun so far.

MGADD SPOILERS

Y’all remember in ep 9 (Skip this Ad...olescense) when the Skipster shuffled skips? With season 1 complete I decided to look back and y’all, I found some cool stuff!!

Of course, in the first skip Lunella goes back too far. But something I missed the first time was little Casey! (Left side)

Next skip shows Torg from ep 13 (Devil on her shoulder). Also, this is when shuffle mode was activated. 

We got Lunella’s 16th birthday! I’m pretty sure she’s 13 in the show so it’s nice to think we’ll get enough eps to see her grow the next 3 years

Next skip we get the infamous Eduardo and Lunella dance date. Idk about you but I personally think they went as friends (I want Eduardo and Lunella friendship for the ADHD and Autism solidarity)

Another note: When Lunella says “Eduardo?!” he looks confused as well which is different from the other skips where no one reacts 

When I saw this one I was shocked! It’s the fight with Morlak/ Maris ep 15/16 (OMG Issue #1-2)

Then we go back to ep 13 where Devil is tiny. Little cutie!

Now onto future spoilers (?) In the finale Lunella goes into the portal to shut it down, so she went into another dimension. A dimension with another MG! 

Next skip we get karaoke from ep 7 (Goodnight, Moon Girl)

Not sure what’s happening here but looks like MG is fighting a huge robot! Does this look familiar to anyone in the Marvel universe? 

Then we get Future! Lunella/ MG who looks just like our beloved Mimi (Any Rise fans here? funny how similar the future designs are. We got the robot arm, cape/scarf combo, and cool looking tech)

Wonder what’s happening with the wanted posters in the background, looks like heroes are wanted criminals 

That’s all I could get! I can’t wait for MGADD Season 2!!

Ok I watched the dance episode I only spoiled myself with that dance video before cause I got worried. and Eduardo does like lunella he to go with lunella he almost forgot he had a date he had a whole fantasy about her why didn’t people post pics of that I don’t get why no one is talking about that moment he is secretly crushing on her Eduardo was so jealous too of Marvin with lunella he had some funny lines too I hope no kid knew fans hate on Eduardo for that I still love the guy Also I knew Anand liked guys I knew it also I get lunella and Marvin like like eachother too and have said they just want to be friends now though I worry about where that will go I am now sure Eduardo has feelings for lunella

Thoughts on Moon Girl Season 2 so far?

I think it has been pretty good and an overall improvement over season 1. That's not to say Season 1 is bad because it has some really good episodes and most of them are fun to watch, but there was lacking this build up and arcs other DTVA shows usually have in their first seasons. It's something that i thought it would really fit MGADD's format, specially since the episodes are 22 minutes long.

So i was pretty glad that in Season 2 A most episodes are connected in some way with the arcs and themes of this part. I like how they build off from the previous season as well, like developing the Beyonder in a few episodes and Mimi's past as the original Moon Girl. And i'm happy the crew got lucky to get extra episodes since there are still plot threads that have to be covered that were introduced in this half.

My main issue would be that one or two episodes feel like could have been double partner, these being The Great Beyonder and Kid Kree. I think Kid Kree episode would have benefited more since it is the introduction to a character who is important in the comics and i would have liked to see more build up before Lunella finding out that Marvin is Kid Kree. The episode is still pretty solid though.

And i'm cautious to see how the whole thing with Eduardo liking Lunella is going to be handled. To be honest, i think there is going to be one episode about him confessing to Lunella and then her telling him that she doesn't feel the same way and if they can stay as friends. The funny thing is that Lunella isn't interested in dating at all for the moment, so that thing it is probably going to be solved in one episode in Season 2 B Lol
