My hair routine
I have straight, low-porosity hair. Not much damage, but usually my hair is flat at the crown and the ends are very frizzy. I usually end up looking like a broom. Recently, I have been following his advice.
Pre-wash :
Massage some oils ( leave in for at least 30min );
I also use ( once a month/every 2 weeks ) a clay mask;
Washing :
First wash with a clarifying shampoo, next one followed by a "normal" shampoo;
Condition/Mask ( I don't really use both at the same time );
My final rinse is with rosemary tea;
After washing : ( I do all of this on my wet hair )
Leave-in conditioner ( I prefer sprays );
Oil/Serum for my ends;
That's it !
I'm based in Europe and these are the brands I use (that have something to do with porosity) :

I cannot believe that the internet hair community taught me more in three videos than a decade of going to a high end hair salon. Who knew I had low porosity hair? Who knew I just needed specific hair care for this? Who knew it virtually fixed my hair in a month? WHO KNEW? THOSE HAIRDRESSERS THAT’S WHO. They chose to gatekeep this fucking information for years.

Just agreeing with every other anon - YOU LOOK AMAZING!! How often do you use hair masks? It's defo something I forget to incorporate into my routine 😭
ALSO THE SKULL MIRROR - I feel like any picture you take with it could look like a scene from a rock opera /pos
I leave you a ward of sparkles to keep away the weird DMs ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
All the best!

✨️ SAVE ME !!!
I try to use masks once a month !! But I forget a lot too orz which is why most of the time my hair is not this healthy lmfao BUT I recommend shea moisture a lot! Reddit r/curlyhair has a lot of product recommendations too but this masque is my favorite:

gonna try your conditioner-first approach, do you recommend putting it on wet or dry hair?
wet hair! i wet my hair with warm water, squeeze out the excess moisture, and then put the conditioner on roots-to-ends. it usually stays on anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes as i'm washing off, depending how long i shower for. then i rinse it out of my hair as fully as possible & use the shampoo. i find that conditioner likes to cling to my roots, so sometimes i have to scrub them with my fingertips to get it all off.
different hair types need different kinds of moisture/cleaning, so you may have to experiment a bit. for a lot of people, shampoo followed by conditioner works great. i have some friends with finer hair who can't use conditioner on their roots at All, they just put it on the very ends instead. conversely i have some friends with afro-textured hair who don't use shampoo at all and need leave-in conditioner for moisture. i've found that for me personally, going completely without shampoo or conditioner fucks my hair up, but doing the conditioner first makes it a LOT less greasy.

bestie wait are we not supposed to wash our hair every day?
Nah, not really. It is pretty damaging to strip your hair of its natural oils (which keep it balanced, and from breaking) which washing your hair daily will do. But using shampoo daily will strip your hair, so it makes more oils, then you have to wash it more and so on. It can also cause your hair to be dry, thinner, more brittle, and more susceptible to split ends. It’s different for everyone what the sweet spot would be on washing routines, (bc of different hair/skin types and oil prodution and if you have to be “presentable”) so some for some people every 2-3 days is best, for me i wash maybe twice a week (bearing in mind i dont go to school daily and i also have massive sensory issues when i comes to full showers [also why i wash my hair in the sink half the time] and have thick wavy/curly hair), and for people with heavier hair types it can be wayyy longer than that depending on what they do! Its pretty dependent on a lot of really differnt factors, but yeah, its not great for it to be washed daily. Over conditioning is also not great

GODS, WHY IS IT SO HARD TO LEARN HAIR?!?
I’ve been learning to take care of my hair and I’ve been trying to figure out the right way to do it. My hair is one of my best features and I want it to flourish considering it’s homegrown and I was never taught the proper way to care for it, considering when I thought I was a boy, I used to buzz it.
Just found out I have low porosity hair and that all of the shampoo and conditioner I’ve been using have been unhealthy for my type of hair and that I’ve been doing the exact opposite of what I should be doing. My frustration is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
