Eddie The Head x Reader Headcanons

(I’ll be using multiple versions of Eddie in this)

🔥 If one Eddie has feelings for you, then the other eddies will too; they’re all him after all.

🔥 Eddie/The Eddies in general are like your gremlin boyfriend/s.

🔥 Eddie/The Eddie’s love leaving bite marks on you. Either in general or in a romantic way.

🔥 Normal Eddie will let you braid/do his hair.

🔥 He along with the other Eddie’s are a bit protective over you and may scare off anyone trying to flirt with you.

🔥 Seventh Son Eddie likes to sit next to you and even let you hold his lil baby blob thing if you want.

🔥 Ed Hunter Eddie loves to have you in his lap, he’ll even give you head pats too.

🔥 Killers Eddie loves showing off his axe throwing tricks to you.

🔥 All the Eddie variations will happily give you a piggy back ride.

🔥 If you hug one of the Eddies, there’s a chance that the other eddies will join in and make it into a group hug.

🔥 Cyborg Eddie is the type to have you around with him as a form of moral support/comfort.

🔥 Some of the Eddies will fight for your affection, and when you step in to stop it, the conflict ceases instantly and they hug tackle you.

🔥 The Eddies are a bit anti social, so you take them on dates to semi secluded areas and/or places with not many people in it.

🔥 Debut Eddie (when going out on the town) will hang over you a lot, mainly so that people don’t come by and try anything with you.

🔥 Speed of light Eddie is definitely willing to go to an arcade, just don’t let him near any ones that’ll suck him into the machine. Then you’ll have to wait a while till he gets out again.

🔥 Alien Eddie will definitely keep you by him like his lil lucky charm.

🔥 All the Eddie’s have equal amounts of affection and love for you, and are willing to share you with each other.

🔥 Trooper/Soldier Eddie will have his arm around you as he traverses the empty battlefield. Makes him feel like a real king.

🔥 Pilot Eddie will definitely be happy to show you his plane flying skills. Though he’ll have you watch from the ground cause he’s not gonna put risk on you.

🔥 Pharoah Eddie will have you by his side a lot when you’re with him (especially when he’s in his sarcophagus, he wants you to be with him when he gets outta there).

🔥 Samurai Eddie will see you as his other halve and and have you by his side also (more so than pharaoh Eddie).

🔥 All the eddies are willing to protect you from any dangers that come your way.

I've been playing the Iron Maiden mobile game ever since the Ghost crossover last October. This week a character from that crossover, Cardinal Immortus, was made available.* I realise now that barely anyone knows who that is or what story was told in the Ghost crossover.

See, sometimes the game will have a week where you can access a special limited-time "event dungeon"- right now there's a Five Finger Death Punch one, for example. Depending on the nature of the dungeon, you might get to fight alongside other music mascots (in the case of the FFDP one you fight alongside their mascot, Knucklehead in a dungeon called Afterlife). Every dungeon has four difficulty levels- Normal, Hard, Madness, and Insanity. In the Normal level, you fight with the mascot/ theme character and a thematically-appropriate Eddie on your team. Sometimes two theme characters are in your team. It just depends.

In the Ghost-themed dungeon, the "Mascarade Diabolique," on the Normal difficulty, you teamed up with Papa IV (and a masked dancer person named Morana) for what seems to be a party in Transylvania- NOT in the clergy's HQ; it becomes apparent you are there to help Papa essentially battle his anxiety and worry over being the new Papa. You're inside his dreams (imho). You fought, if I remember right, Plague Dancers (renamed "Undead Summoners") and Heirophants.

I still have some of the screencaps I took of the story- mind you, I was very very new to the game, so if you are also a player and see my terrible team choices, remember I dove into the game without collecting any information first.

When you go through the Normal difficulty dungeons the first time, story is played out in dialogue boxes before and after fight stages. Here, the dancer Morana says to Papa, "Don't you see? They are a culmination of your worst feats, your own insecurities, Papa, a summoning if your inner demons."

After a different fight, Papa says "No! I am not destined to become one of these abominations. I will prove to you all that their belief in me was not misplaced." (I do not recall if the "their" there refers to the Clergy or the fans)

A Heirophant says to Papa, "with every defeat [of other foes] you find yourself becoming weaker and weaker, are you fighting us, or are you fighting yourself? You always knew you lacked the experience, the conviction to lead the Clergy. Behold the ultimate battle against the darkness in your own soul."

Cardinal Immortus: "I am what you should have been, stronger, experienced, not weak with fear and doubt." Papa retorts "I will not bow down to you or any other. I respect the knowledge and sacrifice of those who came before me. Now you will respect that now is my time to lead, that every future inevitably brings the wind of change..."

Papa continues, "...and while I may ultimately still fail I will give every ounce of my being to lead the Clergy and embody their ideals."

And at the very end of it all, after you have aided Papa in battling his inner turmoil and helping him gain back his confidence... Papa says "would now be a good time for a sax solo then?"

So there you have it, Cardinal Immortus exists- existed?- as a manifestation of Papa's doubts. If there was ever any question that the poor man had a lot of worry going in to the Papacy, let this Iron Maiden phone game crossover even put that question to rest.

I'll post Papa's attacks/ Cardinal Immortus's model next if anyone wants...
