Professor Yaron Matras will introduce the main language communities, with a focus on the language of the city’s Muslim populations. He will discuss how information on languages is compiled, what functions languages have, and what multilingual spaces exist in the city. Yaron Matras is a linguist specialising in multilingualism and minority languages. He founded and led the multilingual Manchester program.

Żąda się wycofania energii jądrowej i zaostrzenia dobrostanu zwierząt. PNOS ma na celu ograniczenie imigracji do minimum. Należy również zezwolić na odebranie obywatelstwa szwajcarskiego naturalizowanym cudzoziemcom, którzy popełnią poważne przestępstwo. Wolność słowa ma zostać przywrócona i zachowane liberalne przepisy dotyczące broni. Policja powinna zwiększyć bezpieczeństwo publiczne. PNOS stanowczo sprzeciwia się utracie szwajcarskiej suwerenności. Z ich punktu widzenia wejście do Unii Europejskiej nie wchodzi w grę. Międzynarodowe traktaty, które zagrażają suwerenności Szwajcarii, mają zostać rozwiązane. PNOS wystartował w wyborach do Rady Narodowej w Basel-Stadt. Otrzymała tam 0,1% głosów. PNOS wziął udział w wyborach do Rady Państw w kantonie Berno. Yannic Nuoffer otrzymał 1348 głosów. Nowy prezes partii PNOS Florian Gerber otrzymał 3003 głosy. Hey so remember I told you I was modding Europa Universalis IV to add the peoples of Chaco? Here are the results so far:

I’ve modded as playable nations not only the Abipones and the Wichíes, but also the Tehuelches and Puelches in the Patagonia, and the Huarpes in Cuyo. I’ve also moved the Charrúa to Uruguay (they were in Buenos Aires in the original game lol) and I’m thinking of adding the Querandíes too...

In the north I’ve expanded the Calchaquíes to Tucumán like they were historically, and added the Omaguacas. Also I’ve added the Kunza or Atacaman peoples, the Camanchaco peoples  and the Chincha kingdom in the Andean coast, they didn’t exist in the original game but were very important at the time (the game starts in the year 1444, just before the Inca started their conquest of the Andes and beyond). Plus I expanded the territory of the Mapuche to better fit history.

I also expanded the territory of the Guaraní (here representing a great diversity of semi-sedentary Guaraní peoples) and added the Avá at the north (they’re better known as Chiriguanos but that’s a despective name).

The cultures of the game were a mess (there was a ‘Chacoan’ culture inside the ‘Mataco’ cultural group... lol) so I also fixed that... gameplay wise it doesn’t make much of a difference but it’s very important for the names of leaders and such.

Now, I didn’t make this all up myself, many of the assets I’ve took from other discontinued mods and some ideas are from improvement proposals by fans, but the Argentine nations I’ve added all by myself. Whenever possible, I used the actual flags of those native peoples and tried to be as accurate to the sources as possible, but with some diverse regions such as Chaco and the lack of sources in others it was often difficult. Keep in mind this is after all, only a game, and many things are simplified for the sake of gameplay. Still, a much better job that what came with the game if I say so myself...

I wanted to add more nations to the Great Chaco and elsewhere but I’m running out of provinces because Paradox Interactive are a bunch of cowards who hate South America and haven’t updated it in years so I’m forced to work with what I have... Hopefully an update that adds more provinces will come soon but I’m not betting on it, South America has been the most neglected region by far in this game...

Now, all these nations play mostly the same, they either have generic ‘native’ or ‘andean’ ideas, but I’m thinking of modding them with ideas that better fit their roles in history and make them fun to play... but that will come afterwards. First I want to add more nations and cultures to the Andes, to what is now Colombia and Venezuela, and Brazil (Brazil literally has 3 or 4 native nations in the original game!!! the whole of Brazil, what the fuck????)

For the sake of comparison, here’s the vanilla (unmodded) map of southern South America, from a guy who’s also trying to add more to it:

The mod is so far for my personal use because well I adquired the game through Alternative Methods... But I will still collect the files and see if I can share it eventually, I’m having so much fun with it and frankly South America deserves better
