Does SF have any new feelings on all of these little “leaks” stating Melissa is there?
My new feelings are the same as my old feelings 🙈🙉🙊 None of these "leaks" would be happening if AMC didn't condone them, but if you're asking me whether I believe Melissa is there, then yes.
On if it will be announced tomorrow that Melissa is back?
AMC has never announced anything in the way normal networks do, but they need to present their slate and make it appealing to advertisers, particularly with their new service, Audience+. They'll have to put lipstick on the pig that's S1 so someone will invest and the easiest way of doing that would be to announce Melissa's return.
On if we won’t be hearing about “the Daryl show” anymore?
Like MT, I'd like a proper title to be announced and by proper, I mean one that will give some kind of indication as to what the show is about, like The Last of Us, Stranger Things, or Game of Thrones. Even "More Tales of the Walking Dead" is more descriptive than "The Daryl Show" (it's not a sitcom) or "Raise the Dead" (which is illogical).
I'd also like to hear from Zabel, so we could get a sense for how in charge he is. Those revisions to 201 (as seen in the picture of the cover page) give me pause. I think I know why an outsider was brought in instead of promoting from within the franchise, but until we get a statement or even a soundbite, this spinoff could be at DEFCON 5 or 1.
Kristin Dolan will speak, so that should give us a better idea of what she's got planned for the network and by extension, TWDU.
Tacking these on here since I can't comment on other comments:
retiredkat: The move to France has benefited one person.
Correlation does not equal causation. Yes, Norman benefited, but he wasn't the only one to do so and out of the two, he had less power (and less of a motive) to affect a shift in concept or location.
retiredkat: AMC could have sued MMB for breach of contract if she truly backed out for no good reason, correct? I just don’t understand how France was untenable a year ago, but now it is.
Well, there are exit clauses in those contracts, so there's no need for the studio to sue. The money you'd owe for breach of contract and loss of profits is prohibitive and your reputation is shot afterwards. No one would hire you.
France being untenable is still just the official agreed upon excuse as to why Melissa was let go. It was never the actual reason, just like she didn't need a break, nor had a change of mind and before someone jumps in to say it, neither did she nurse her elderly father who doesn't even live in the same state.
She’s welcome to chime in.

Thanks for taking the time to respond :) We will see what tomorrow brings.
This is kind of a tangent, but Zabel should declare himself a Caryl shipper. I want the showrunner to have the same energy that LaToya Morgan has. I'm tired of everyone playing coy.
SAG-AFTRA Approves Temporary Deals to Restart Production for 'Walking Dead' Spinoffs and 'Interview With the Vampire'
SAG-AFTRA, the actors union, has reached temporary agreements to continue production on three high-profile AMC series. These series include two extensions of the Walking Dead universe and the adaptation of Interview With the Vampire. This development comes amidst the ongoing seven-week strike by SAG-AFTRA against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).
To date, these shows represent the most significant television projects to secure interim agreements since the strike started in mid-July. Although not a member of the AMPTP, AMC Networks, the producer of all three series, is "authorised" by the alliance, committing to adhere to any contracts set between the AMPTP and industry unions. The temporary agreements pertain specifically to The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live—featuring the comeback of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira—and Interview With the Vampire. These agreements do not extend to other AMC projects.
Production on Daryl Dixon had already commenced its second season in France before pausing for a pre-planned break, which coincided with the initiation of the strike. Similarly, Interview With the Vampire is set to resume its second-season filming in Prague after halting due to the strike. Meanwhile, The Ones Who Live wrapped up filming before the strike but will now proceed with post-production activities like extra dialogue recording, courtesy of the interim agreement.
These temporary accords have stirred some debate among union members, who argue they could undermine the strike's intent. Productions accepting these agreements must conform to the union's last contract offer before the strike, which includes an 11% increase in minimum wages and a revenue-sharing plan for streaming projects.
SAG-AFTRA modified its position on Aug. 14, stating that it won't extend these interim agreements to any U.S.-produced projects that are under a Writers Guild of America contract.
Other television productions that have secured temporary agreements include The Chosen, a biblical drama, Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, a docu-series, and Tehran from Apple TV+. These three AMC series are expected to premiere in 2024. Kristin Dolan, the CEO of AMC Networks, noted in a recent earnings call that AMC and its affiliated networks have enough content to last well into the next year before running out.

Hey y’all. Honestly haven’t written anything in years 😅, hoping to get back into this one because I just reread it and I can’t wait for what happens next lol. Hope you guys are as excited as I am! Anyways onto the story!
Indents indicate flashbacks!
After landing in New Jersey, I caught an Uber to the Dolans house. I’m so nervous just to see Lisa again. After my mom died, Lisa was like a second mother to me. I love her dearly and when Ethan and I split up, it was the most devastating thing. Not only was I losing the love of my life but I was losing my family as well. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through.
My hands begin shaking as I make my way to the front door. A car is parked in the driveway, at least someone is home. I knock twice and wait. I hear footsteps making their way to the door and the lock sliding on the inside. The door creaks open and I’m met with Cameron.
“Liana!?” Cameron shrieks, pulling me into her arms.
“Hey Cam.” I say, hugging her back.
“Oh my god, how are you? How has everything been?”
“Well that’s what I’m here to talk to you about,” I glance around once inside the house, “is Lisa home?”
“Mom’s in the back yard. Here lay your stuff in the living room and we can go out to see her.”
I place my suitcase and jacket by a chair in the living room. I sigh deeply before turning back to Cameron.
“Are you okay Li?”
“Not quite, it would be much easier to tell both you and your mom what happened and why I’m here, rather than telling you both individually.”
Cam’s eyes dart between my eyes, “You aren’t sick are you? Or worse… pregnant!?”
“Oh my god no! Neither of those things are true. Although I wish I could have a baby.”
“Okay, we can talk about it with mom. As long as it isn’t serious.”
“Oh it’s serious, just not life threatening.” I say, with a chuckle.
We walk outside to the garden where I can see Lisa planting flowers.
“Oh Cameron it’s nice of you to come out and keep me company.” Lisa says.
“Mom, I actually brought company.”
At the word company, Lisa’s eyes dart from the ground to Cameron and I.
“Liana Marie Summers, is that you?” She says, standing and pulling the gloves off of her hands.
I open my arms and reach out my hands, “In the flesh.” I say with a smile.
She walks into my arms and hugs me tightly. I hug her back just as tight.
“What brings you to our neck of the woods?”
I sigh, “Well there was have been some things happening recently that I figured you should know. I didn’t want to call because that would have been inconsiderate. I made a special trip down here to see you! I’ve missed you so much.”
Walking into the kitchen, Lisa pulls open a cabinet with glasses and grabs three out. Pulling open the fridge door, she pulls out a pitcher of lemonade pouring it into the glasses. She hands me one and sits beside Cameron on the opposite side of the island. I smile at her before taking a sip of the lemonade from the glass. Ah, just like I remember it.
“Liana, Ethan! Mom made lemonade, let’s go!”
I smile at Ethan sitting beside me in the tree house. I pull him in for one last kiss before climbing down the ladder out of the tree.
Ethan was my first kiss at the age of 13. We kissed a few times after that but, this was the first time we had ever kissed for such a long time. I think Cameron said it was called a make out. It was for people who were really in love with each other she said.
“Believe me honey, we’ve missed you as well but you didn’t need to make a trip all the way to the other side of the country just to talk to us.” Lisa says, smiling slightly.
“Actually I did. It concerns both of your sons.”
“Are they hurt?” She asks immediately.
“No, they’re fine. We’ve just been keeping some information from you recently.”
“You’re speaking with them again? I thought you guys fell out on bad terms?” Cameron chimes in.
“Not quite. While Ethan and I did break up and I have tried not to speak to him because of the whole Kristina thing, Grayson and I have never stopped talking.”
“I’m sorry I’m just a bit confused. What happened with Kristina?”
I sigh deeply before meeting Lisa’s eyes over the island, “When Ethan and I broke up, it was because we had been engaged previously but he kept taking it back. After we broke up, I decided to work on myself. I worked on myself and trying to further my career in Paris. I did a lot of great things and hope that Ethan was ready when I came back. When I came back to see if Ethan wanted to try again, he was already with someone, married and she was pregnant. I didn’t know what to do. I cut off contact with all of you and I was scared and alone. For the first time in my life, there was no one I could lean on. Although, I didn’t cut off contact with everyone. Grayson and I stayed in contact. Actually, we’re coming up on a year in our relationship. We had plans to move to Australia. We bought a house and we were going to have a private wedding ceremony and raise our children in seclusion.”
“Hold on, let me get this straight. Ethan was a bad boyfriend so you decided to dump him and move on. When you came back he was already with someone and happy so you decided to jump on Grayson instead so you could feel close to Ethan again. You were planning on marrying Grayson and having children but us, his family, was never going to know?” I can hear the anger in Cameron’s voice.
“Cameron, calm down. Liana, while I don’t support your actions of dating both of my sons, I understand where you’re coming from. Why is it you came all the way to tell us this?” Lisa says, calmly meeting my frightened gaze.
“Grayson and Ethan are in the process of packing their things to move to the house in Australia.”
“Wait you’re all going to live together? With Ethan and Kristina?”
“Not quite. Ethan’s filed for divorce. Kristina is pregnant but the baby isn’t your brothers. She cheated on him and got pregnant as a result of it. Ethan, Grayson, and I recently met up at a cafe and spoke with each other. Ethan claims to still be in love with me. So we’re going to try this thing the bachelorette style.”
Lisa breathes deeply, “Well if that is what you all agreed on, and are okay with, then that is what is going to happen. You’re all adults and free to do whatever you want. If this is what you believe to be the best possible thing to do, then I can’t help but be proud of you. All of you. You’re all my children and I’ll support whatever decisions you make.”
I wipe a tear from my cheek and walk over to hug Lisa.
“Thank you for being understanding. You’ll never understand how much this means to me. I love you so much.”
“Liana, we are your family. You can always come to us.”
Cameron stands and joins our hug, “I love you too Li, my brothers are douchebags. I hope you find what you’re looking for in one of them so we can finally be sisters.”
As we stand in a group hug I realize I never booked my hotel.
“Oh shit.” I say as we pull away from one another.
“What is it Liana?” Cameron asks.
“I never booked a stupid hotel! I was so out of it at the airport trying to leave as soon as possible that I forgot the most important thing.”
“You can stay here with us sweetheart. No need to book a hotel when you can stay with family.” Lisa says with a shrug.
“I love you so much, thank you thank you thank you!” I shriek hugging her quickly.
“You will be expected to keep up some of the chores around the house though young lady.”
I smile, “I’ll do my best!”
✨✨✨

4.24.23 | Blog Post | AMC Networks Announces New Ad-Supported Tier for AMC+
Following the lead of its competitors HBOMax, Peacock, and Netflix, AMC+ plans to be the next streaming platform to introduce a cheaper, ad-supported tier later this year. This new tier will accompany its premium ad-free subscription tier that currently costs $8.99 a month. AMC Networks has yet to disclose any information about the potential pricing and upcoming launch date of this new tier, but did suggest that the service will be included in the company’s upfront sales process for 2023-2024. This move comes shortly after the company conducted a series of major staff cuts and a change in senior leadership earlier this year.
In an official statement, board member and newly appointed CEO Kristin Dolan said that although the company does not break down any official financials or subscription numbers for its individual streamers, “AMC+ is the biggest member of its portfolio of niche services,” in comparison to its other streaming services–ALLBLK, Shudder, IFC Films Unlimited, and Sundance Now. Dolan also hinted at the possibility of a bundle deal becoming available later this year that–in a similar format to Walt Disney Company’s Hulu, ESPN+, and Disney+ bundle deal–will allow subscribers to subscribe to multiple services at once for a discounted price.
In addition to creating new advertising opportunities for partners, Dolan noted their plan for an advanced ad targeting system. This new system will allow advertisers to buy time slots to air during and before specific shows, genres, and franchises. These ads will air throughout specific programs on both linear TV, AMC+, and any other free ad supported streaming platforms to provide advertisers exclusive access to distinct target audiences. Dolan also announced a new service titled “Audience+,” which will give advertisers access to data that examines how audiences are watching specific media across AMC Network’s platforms.
At the end of their statement, AMC Networks emphasized that although other streamers like HBOMax and Disney+ are trying to expand their content to appeal to broader and younger audiences, the company will remain focused on catering to their current audience of adults (340).
Kristin Dolan, wife of James Dolan, named AMC Networks CEO
AMC Networks on Wednesday named media industry veteran and long-time board member Kristin Dolan as its chief executive officer, filling a position that had been empty since Christina Spade’s abrupt departure in November.
Kristin, who is the wife of company Chairman James Dolan, has previously worked at cable television company Cablevision Systems and served as the top boss of data and audience…
Gimple wants to work with dudes, from showrunners to actors, so maybe it's not the whole truth that AMC favors men? The spin-off focus is on Negan, Daryl and Rick, even if Maggie and Michonne are there and the CCO has a say, no? Most of Rick's time away Michonne was in Alexandria, so Gimple has an excuse to focus on his male star more and in S4-8 all the characters were split up. Guard your heart if you watch for Richonne content! Gimple's track record isn't good for romance. He killed Glenn.
I think you’re right, but since AMC sits above Gimple, I just wish there was a stronger push for the women both on and off camera from up top. Maybe that’ll be one of Kristin Dolan’s initiatives, I don’t know, but at the moment all current TWDU shows have male showrunners (Fear has two lol) and one of the female leads is missing for at least a season. I'd say that’s a big problem and it’ll probably narrow the viewership.
Side note: I don’t know what Danai can fit into her schedule or what she wants to do, but just to say, I think she would’ve made a really great showrunner on Summit.
Alan Bennett and the cast and main creative team involved with his sublime new Talking Heads series have donated their fees — totalling more than £1 million — to a fund for NHS staff and volunteers.
Thirty individuals including the 12-strong cast who deliver the revealing monologues — Jodie Comer, Monica Dolan, Martin Freeman, Tamsin Greig, Sarah Lancashire, Lesley Manville, Lucian Msamati, Maxine Peake, Rochenda Sandall, Kristin Scott Thomas, Imelda Staunton, and Harriet Walter — agreed to waive payment for their work on what Bennett calls his ‘stripped down versions of short stories’. Instead, the money will go to NHS Charities Together.
Every single one of them began their careers in the theatre. Good people, those theatre folk.

must have fallen and hit my head. the dailyfail actually said something nice about him?? even though it was a collective compliment lol.
Going back to the Roman Polanski petition and the Epstein files, just the ones I’ve seen so far, it’s so incredibly disheartening seeing how many entertainers and people I generally held in positive regard are on these lists. There is, of course, the chance they didn’t know anything and were just shuttled around as being famous rich people, but...man. They’re on the same list as people we know are cretins, so there’s no way of actually knowing who is and isn’t good. It’s like trying to tell which porn is and isn’t consensual, you just can’t.
anyway here’s a list so far of all the elites named in the epstein files, or who supported roman polanski’s relase after he was arrested for raping a teenage girl:
