New Homeowner and general nosy Elf

Spending some time in Ebonheart milling between buildings, drinking mead with the Nords and being accused of poisoning a tree by the Argonians, I was offered my own slice of the world in the form of an Inn Room.  Finally, somewhere to place my random bookshelf and severed head that I've been carting up and down Stonefalls for the last couple of hours

The head was from the slain Kra'gh the Dreugh King in the Fungal Grotto. I didn't want to kill you but I was generally coerced by a bunch of drunks in a pub claiming to be from the Undaunted.  What was worse is when I showed them the head they took it in turns to insult me and to sing a song in my direction.

Back to the Inn room - Or should I say Death Row Prison Cell.  This won't suffice for the adventures I have planned.  Plenty more rotten body parts to be hung up yet, I need more room.

"Kragenhome" with the Dunmeri architecture which I've already insulted in the past seemed a good first home.  No help to buy scheme or government deposit in the Ebonheart Pact, so it ended up setting me back a few thousand Crowns.

Carefully taking down the rotting Dreugh King trophy and placing the rather large book case in my pocket it was move in day to the new abode.  Barely 2 minutes later the move was complete. Sat on the stone floor of Kragenhome listening to the nearby volcano threatening to erupt and to turn my bookcase into Ash I was happy with my decision.

More furnishings would come with time, but I had the recipe to make a Rough Military Stretcher.  A little trip outside of the house, and the stretcher was made.  Placed on the floor, and looking as uncomfortable as possible I finally had somewhere to rest my head.

On returning to my new house I took notice that my new neighbors had the Audacity to place their washing line into the brickwork of mine.  Do they not know who I am?  I'm the Vestige, what ever that means.

I'll cut it down early hours and sneak into their house, steal a lockpick or something.  That'll show them.

Today is over, and tomorrow is adventures anew.  After developing severe cramp and a strained neck from 5 minutes on the stretcher I log out.

So far Kragenmoor and the Sathram Plantation provided the Morrowind experience most authentic to TESIII: running errands for the people who embody everything you stand against, because you need their assistance for the greater good.

This also gave me a pretty good opportunity to get a clearer picture of Giren Lloran's background.

I have planned for a while for her to be a quietly discontent house Dunmer from Stonefalls who used the chaos of the Akaviri invasion as an opportunity to go rogue. She helped some number of slaves escape, left with them, and engaged in guerrilla warfare against the Akaviri with a bunch of other renegade Dunmer and runaway Argonians (as opposed to Mondryn Sarethi, who was in the main army).

Now, in the light of various Stonefalls quests, it has become clear that back then her goals should have been not just to fight the invaders but specifically to protect enslaved people from them. So I suppose her group was helping some of them escape Stonefalls, while others stayed to join the fight.

This backstory made it very ironic that the leader of House Dres praised her and called her a good ally, completely unaware that she's one of his enemies that go years back. Her polite smile was partially genuine, because she was glad that her cover was not only preserved but reinforced. She was getting a good grade in stealth! I specifically took the stealth route for the main quest, because it was probably similar to what she used to do.
