Mesa Flats circa 2007
Stephen Loyal has a very fashion trend outfit from 2007 (and mostly from the mid to late 2000s: Shirts with Vests and jeans)
Julianne Charlot has an outfit very inspired by The Hills and Gossip Girl, which is the dress of Tata Young's official sim
Gordon Fetching literally wanted to give it vibes of "Dark Peter Parker" but at the same time of Adam Levine in 2007
Erin Davis, is it too obvious that I was heavily inspired by Selena Gomez and Rihanna from 2007
Rachel Ware, inspired a bit by the High Waisted Wide Leg Jeans trend from 2007 (Who would have thought that years later in the 2020s we brought them back and much cooler)
Kadisha Briggs, when I first saw her I said "she had an emo phase" and I wasn't entirely wrong (she wanted to give her Avril Lavigne and Hayley Williams vibes)
James Briggs, OMGG!!, I think I made the most 2007 emo in the game!
I've wanted to do this blog for a long time, I really didn't know what year to put Mesa Flats in (At the moment I don't know what year I'll put Bitville, Garden Heights and Arbor Falls in xD, If you have any ideas for these three neighborhoods, please tell me haha)!
Well, 2007 wasn't a very pretty year for pop culture, especially because of the breakdown of our princess of pop, but it was also a pretty great year: Shrek 3 comes out, Selena Gomez in her Alex Russo era, Taylor Swift in her debut era, Paramore appears, Avril Lavigne releases "The Best Damn Thing", Rihanna releases her smash hit "Umbrella" and above all the first season of the iconic series from the late 2000s "Skins" is released (I RECOMMEND YOU GUYS TO WATCH IT!!, if you already saw it, you have to see it again), and above all... this makeover is the most complicated one I've done in this whole series haha, but above all thanks to @simstralia for 2KL8 and Safiya Nygaard for her 2007 outfits video.

KITTEH! I wish I could remember what this one is called, but it's an adoptable and I know Bonkers already went to the Newson-Oldies so there’s only limited kits left in the pool. Maybe it’s Cymmi? Who knows! (I could check SimPE but I’m really comfortable RN.)
Also, get teaching Lawrence them skills tho! Also also, did I put that desk there in the middle of the living room or was it already like that? The Stories houses are kind of madly designed in some cases so the answer could be literally anything.

We close with Veronica cooking a meal for her new friend, Kadisha. She wants to test out a recipe for her first real date with Don.

After last week’s fiasco, Benjamin tries to sneak out again, but gets arrested again D:
His parents James and Kadisha both become Captain Heroes, they secure a nice little insurance for Benjamin’s future and make the most of their weekend, as they won’t live to enjoy another one.
Yup, bit of a sad week...

I gave Kadisha a new lewk, because as cute as her little beige pantsuit was, it’s hardly desert-appropriate attire. Plus I’m gonna be adopting these guys like a billion kids, so casual and hands-on is more of a vibe I can get on with.
I did not authorize the purchase of this SSX3 or Sims 3 nonsense though. Ugh. Fine, go open up the package Rod Humble left you then and be creating sound effects that irritate me for days to come.

Well that doesn’t seem fair, James gets to do all the fun parts of parenting like flinging child several feet in air and Kadisha has to do all the serious stuff like teaching speech.
Also don’t think I don’t see you contemplating another adoption there in the background, Kads. If you have the energy for it you can adopt as many premade hybrid kids as I can shoehorn into the adoption pool, I got you girl!

Kadisha: Wow I’m so happy we adopted that little bundle of joy that I want to celebrate! Hop on James, let’s produce another from our loins!

James and Kadisha were the best of friends long before they became a couple. Their romance and subsequent marriage is one of the Mesa Flats' best-known success stories.
OH STOP IT, that’s exactly the history of my other half and me. Way to make me have a soft spot for these Face Templates.
Anyway, Jim and Kads are fun to play because there’s literally zero drama, they’re like a bag of crunchy crisps for the brain. All they want are kids and pets.
I blessed them with a kit kit and hello again, culturally appropriative hot cop! Since James is a law man she’s probably a coworker from a different precinct. Actually since it’s the police that bring adoptive pets, James could have just brought one home from work himself, uninspired sod.
I DIDN’T MEAN THAT LITERALLY JAMES put that down you can’t have any more
