Actors I want to see play vampires in something because I love bloodsuckers
Sebastian Stan - The Covenant is what made me think this initially. Hearing that (at one point at least) he wanted to be Dracula and tried using the fact that he's Romanian to make it happen just makes me smile. There's fanart, fanfiction, manips, and AMVs that help me know that I'm not alone in this line of thinking.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mads Mikkelsen - Did you know that he's actually in a vampire movie? He's not a vampire from what I can tell, he's a vampire hunter, but that's still something to think about. It's called Nattens engel (or, Angel of the Night) from 1998. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was also in this movie. Speaking of which....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau would be a good vampire in something. Tell me I'm wrong. He has the charisma for it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adam Driver - Hear me out! Look at him in The Last Duel, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, and the poster for Hungry Hearts if you don't agree, and then get back to me. He's big, he's sexy, he's got that nice deep purr of a voice, and the Reylos agree that's why there's already art and fanfiction of it! Somebody please give me Adam Driver Dracula I'm begging you!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eva Green - Stop giving me Eva Green witches and give me a bloodsucker! She. Would. Slay. That. Shit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cara Delevingne - It's the eyes that do it for me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Abbey Lee (Kershaw) - I don't want to profile, but look at her. Tall, sexy, scary, she's perfect!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oscar Isaac - Annihilation convinced me. And the little bit of The Card Counter I saw. And the little bit of Big Gold Brick. And a really good chunk of Moon Knight. Look, just trust me. I know what I'm talking about.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like my vampires to walk that perfect line between sexy and scary. If you disagree, you're wrong. Simple as that. And here are my favorite examples just to prove my point.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have more examples. A lot more. But only thirty pictures are allowed per post and I wanted a structure. Sexy/scary vampires are the best vampires. I love the scary ones, I love the sexy ones, but the ones that can be both are perfect.
I love vampires.

So I had quite a day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dropped by the Murdoch studio on my way home from the dentist today (as one does)* to show Josy and her costume team the progress on my current project, and I finally, three years after starting to make things for the show, saw the sets.
It was lunchtime so the sets were empty. Craig Grant was working on [redacted] in the [redacted]. His lair of props is enormous. The morgue is much smaller than I’d thought. The station house is basically a museum of the show. The Murdoch-Ogden house is gorgeous. Someone was asleep in Murdoch’s office, and someone else in the cells. Tom Craig shook my hand. I met Bob Sher, the production designer, and waved hello to Gary Harvey, the director. I learned the themes for at least four episodes. Saw the “RIGHT THE SHIP” poster from Brax’s campaign for alderman way back when.
Head still spinning.
*What even is my life?

Have you ever thought to yourself: Yee howdy, I wish I could know what everyone thinks of my favorite character, and I also wish we could all definitively rank them in popularity based on the whims of the public? Then do I have the thing for you!
Right out the gate, it's time to vote for favorite characters. The votes for favorite NPC (human) and favorite NPC (other) will be running alongside each other, with the vote for NPC (other) starting a little later to make them both finish at the same time and end in an epic dual victory.
I have chosen to split them up because there's a lot of NPC's and we can expedite the process somewhat by having separate tournaments running alongside each other.
Humanoid creatures such as Pandorians residing in the circus will be counted as humans because that's how they choose to present and I will respect that.
Certain conditions apply regarding characters added to SSO just to host races, NPC's that are named but do not take part in quests, and characters from earlier games. these characters will not partake because the list is so. long. already.
Every poll will be accompanied by a picture and a brief description to refresh your memory, so don't worry if you can't remember them just by name! If you have any concerns or can't see your favorite NPC anywhere, send a message or an ask.
The first NPC (human) tournamnet will take place over 3 sessions of 40 posts per week, because it's 120 posts and I don't want to overwhelm you with that many posts. Once we've narrowed it down to 60 favorites it will be split into 2 sessions, and once we've only got 30 contestants left, I'll post them all in one go until a winner is declared. That's also when the NPC (other) polls will be posted.
Who will go up against who is randomized and can be found under the cut.

WIP Wednesday (5/1/2024)
Fandom: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reboot Games
Title: The Feylands
Pairing: OFC Josephine ‘Josie’ Kaplan + Everyone (Capt. John Price, Kyle 'Gaz’ Garrick, John 'Soap’ MacTavish, Simon 'Ghost’ Riley, Kate Laswell (and her wifey!), Gary 'Roach’ Sanderson, Alex Keller, Farah Karim) (Not a relationships are sexual nor romantic here. It’s…complicated.)
Synopsis: The Court of Maevonia have been in search of a human for their court plaything for a while. Josephine Kaplan fits the description of what they want. But when she accidentally shows up unannounced just as a war with a neighboring kingdom is kicking off, it seems like things might work out differently. Can Josie work with the Court to save not only Maevonia, but also Earth from the Penumbra and it’s Shadow Bringers?
AKA: ...shhh. Gemma's worldbuilding. 😉
General CW’s: Stalking, Dub-con, Climate Catastrophe (Earth), mild horror, weird time-space-dimension distortions
Snippet CW's: None.

Josephine subtly let her eyes roam over the man as she strolled to the restroom. His eyes were focused on the TV screen above the bar, the hosts droning on about team points and predictions for the upcoming season. It was the perfect situation for looking him over without being caught.
He was tall, his leather work boots resting on the barstool’s rung. His shirt was cuffed up, displaying the gentle muscular curve of his forearms. He took a sip of his beer, raking his hand through his reddish brown curls that flopped back to their original position. Josephine got one good glimpse of his profile before having to look away - strong jaw, five o’clock shadow, a faint scar just along his cheekbone.
Jane was right, he was attractive. Unfairly so, almost. He looked like he belonged out in the wilderness - with the sturdy work boots and dark jeans, he’d be better suited to chopping wood and blazing trails than here in the heart of the city. Josephine snuck another peek at the man as she returned to the table, irresistibly drawn to him now that she was aware of his presence.
This time, his eyes caught hers in the mirror as she slid into the seat next to Jane. They held eye contact that way for a moment, before he smirked, winked, and raised his glass to her reflection in quick succession. Josephine’s cheeks warmed under the attention, and her eyes flicked down to her hands on the table - partially ashamed she’d been caught ogling the man, and partially excited that he’d noticed her.
“See? I told you.” Jane whispered as she pushed Josephine’s fresh beer to her. “He’s into you, Jos.”
Josephine scoffed, taking another sip and letting her eyes roam over the stranger’s profile as he let his attention fall back to the screen. “Doubtful. He just happened to catch me staring and didn’t want to make it weird.”
Jane groaned, shaking her head as she stood. “Jos, you sell yourself too short. You deserve a good man in your life. I’m going to the restroom, don’t make eyes at him all night.”
Josephine snorted, pulling her phone out. “I won’t, Jane.” She flicked open her text messages, responding to a few texts from Lucy before starting to scroll through her social media accounts.
She failed to notice Jane plopping down on the bar stool on the far side of the man, gesturing to their table, and clapping him on the shoulder before continuing on her path to the ladies room, wide grin on her face.
“Sorry, I hope I’m not intruding,” Josephine’s hand stuttered, inadvertently liking a post as she fumbled her phone. She blinked up into smiling amber eyes, her mouth drying further as she realized it was the stranger from the bar standing over her. “Your friend suggested I should come introduce myself.”
Josephine wordlessly gestured to the seat across from her, sliding Jane’s beer off to the side out of the way. His voice was warm, honeyed and husky all at once and she suddenly wanted to hear more of it.
“I’m Gary,” he offered, as he slid into the seat Josephine offered.
Her voice warbled. “Josephine.” She absentmindedly traced swirls in the water droplets on the table, trying to mask the sudden onset of trembling in her hands.
“A pretty name for a pretty lady,” Gary murmured, smiling at her.
Josephine’s heart pitter-pattered at the compliment, heat climbing up her cheeks as she mumbled a thanks, their eyes locking again.
He was even more handsome up close, a smattering of freckles playing across his nose and cheeks, his heavy framed glasses accentuating his eyes. A small hearing aid was tucked beneath a curl of hair. The scar she noticed across his cheek actually stretched across over the bridge of his nose, like a pair of lab goggles had pressed a permanent indentation into the skin. He rubbed at his chin, smirking at her.
“So, Gary,” she started, taking a sip of her beer to mask the exhilaration and glee racing through her veins - no one this attractive sought her out intentionally. She coughed as the alcohol coursed down her throat. “Sorry, I’m not used to hot men just coming over and introducing themselves like that.”
He laughed, and it sent giddy shivers up her spine. “It’s understandable. Usually I don’t find such a lovely woman to introduce myself to.”

Hockey Players as Greek Gods
Zeus- (God of the Sky)-Sidney Crosby, has the most power and rules over everyone. Brooding when angry, likes to travel but not be noticed or talked to.
Hera- (God of Marriage, Mothers and Families)- Marc-Andre Fleury, loves their family. Likes to be in the carpool line or cut oranges for soccer games. But do not anger, you will not exist anymore.
Athena- (God of Wisdom, War and Useful Arts)- Dougie Hamilton, the smart ones, likes to wander around museums, only interacts with intellectuals, probably get a degree for FUN
Aphrodite- (God of Love and Beauty)-Roman Josi, very very pretty, uses their looks to get what they want, and it works 1000% of the time, is here for a good time not a long time
Hermes- (God of the Roadways, Travelers, Merchants, and Thieves)-Mat Barzal, terrible style with joggers and shitty shoes, always missing, tends to start trouble but can never finish it, always needs backup.
Poseidon- (God of the Sea)- Erik Johnson, UNHINGED, would create horses out of sea form, only wears Hawaiian shirt, shorts, and flipflops, likes to talk to anyone.
Apollo- (God of Archery, Music, Poetry, Prophecy, and Medicine)- Tyson Jost, likes to look HOT, always looks good, is into everything from Music to Medicine; won’t be good at it but points for trying.
Dionysus- (God of Wine)- Quinn Hughes, pasty man who always looks hungover, a grumpy man barely surviving. Not much of a fighter…more of just stern petty looks.

I've written for Bobby, Henrik, Lucas, Levi, and more! Mostly S2 with some S1 and S6 sprinkled in (and a few fics featuring S3 characters in minor roles). Bobby is heavily featured since I had a lot of ideas for him, but I think I've retired from him now!
Tumblr media
Under the Influence - A series of fics featuring my OC Josie, including 2 full-length villa fics (one complete, one in progress) and multiple oneshots. Some of these are alternate timelines.
Whiskey & Scotch | Bobby x MC | Explicit - the OG. A slow burn villa fic that takes canon and twists it to create a fresh new story. Ranks 3rd in the fandom in kudos! Complete, 230k
One for the Road | Bobby x MC | Mature - a post-villa oneshot set around Christmas after W&S
On the Rocks | Bobby x MC x Lucas | Explicit - an in-villa threesome in an alternate universe. Explicit
Another Round | Bobby x MC x m!OC | Explicit - sequel to On the Rocks, also a threesome, this time featuring a male OC. Explicit

Lemme get uhhhh, 4, 5, & 47 off that list please
4. Favorite movie soundtrack.
phantom of the paradise (1974). NEXT!
5. Top 5 films of your favorite actor and actress.
oh jesus . i don't know who my favorite actor & actress are really and there are definitely a handful of them but for the sake of the question and so we are not here listing movies all day i will pick two.
KEANU REEVES
My Own Private Idaho (1991) - ok i don't feel like explaining this one you will just have to trust me on it
Point Break (1991) - for starters acab includes johnny utah but this has to be near the top because i think from an acting standpoint this is a movie i would show to people who have the preconceived notion that keanu is a 'bad actor' to prove them wrong. he's great in this!! above all else i think he has a very magnetic screen presence that exists in all of these that i'm mentioning but it's probably at its highest here.
The Matrix Reloaded (2003) - this is my favorite matrix film :)
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) - ok i know the british accent isn't good and he's so wooden and weird in this but jonathan harker my babygirl light of my life i love you so. i think the chemistry he has with winona ryder and gary oldman is so potent that it outweighs the quality of his performance. they made his hair grey to show that time had passed.
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey (1991) - ok sorry for retroactively editing this i reread the question and realized this isn't about the actor's performances but the movies themselves. and bill and ted's bogus journey is the pinnacle of cinema
PARKER POSEY
Josie and the Pussycats (2001) - because fiona is the most jerkin' girl in the world. i would let her lure me into her evil record company and ruin my life
Party Girl (1995) - again parker posey is the coolest girl in the entire world. she organized that guy's record collection with the dewey decimal system.
The Doom Generation (1995) - i know she appears in one scene and her total amount of lines could probably be counted on both hands but nothing will ever beat sword wielding lesbian brandi
Clockwatchers (1997) - underrated one in her filmography imo. toni collette is also wonderful in this!!!
Waiting for Guffman (1996) - [solemnly, while grilling a single unseasoned chicken wing] "i'll always have a place at the Dairy Queen....."
47. Movies that you think everyone should watch (not necessarily your favorites)
phantom of the paradise NEEXT!!!!!!! just kidding here's other movies. this one is kinda hard because there are a great number of my favorite films that i think everyone should watch .... hmmm . okay i'm just gonna do a rapid fire list for this one
Wings of Desire (1987)
Alien (1979)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Chungking Express (1994)
Moonstruck (1987)
Do The Right Thing (1989)
Harold and Maude (1971)
Mamma Mia! (2008)
9 to 5 (1980)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)

Peter Graves May Have Set Mark For Gray Hair Vogue Sarasota Journal - Monday, March 1, 1971 by Joyce Haber
Image sourced from [Here]. Shout-out to @chiickies for putting me onto this fansite! Transcription of the above image below the "Read More".
When Peter Graves was in Louisville last year for the Kentucky Derby, two of his women-fans came up to him and asked what he used on his hair to make it silver. “Nothing,” Peter answered. “It’s natural.” “Come on,” said one of the ladies. “You don’t have to play that game with us.” As the suave, decisive, unruffled and prematurely-gray chief of the impossible missions force, the only game Graves actually plays is on CBS’ suspenseful, Emmy-award winning series, “Mission: Impossible” which is in its fifth season. This year, he took the Golden Globe Award from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for best actor in a dramatic series for his portrayal of Jim Phelps. But the lady was wrong. Peter Graves is, for the most part, precisely what he seems. His hair, for example, began going gray when Peter was in his mid-20s. “I woke up one morning,” he says, “and there was this patch of gray right there.”
As we sat in Hollywood’s famous restaurant, Scandia, which boasts, among other things, a superb array of dishes ranging from Caesar salad to smorgasbord, Graves touched his left temple and laughed. “I thought ‘Oops’ - and it just continued. When I started going gray over-all. I appeared on a big TV star’s variety show. He started kidding me about it right on the air - as did everybody. Next day he came and apologized. ‘I’ve been gray myself for 15 years,’ he admitted, ‘But I touch it up.’” If gray is in now in Hollywood, as it seems to be, Peter started the trend. I noticed that actor George Kennedy, at the Golden Globes Awards, was completely silver-polled. He used to be very blond. But gray wasn’t always in, not even for Graves. Only three years ago, when Universal cast him opposite Doris Day in “The Ballad of Josie,” director Andrew McLaglen took him aside. “Listen,” he said, “no big star has ever been gray,” and; against the star’s protests McLaglen took Peter to makeup, where they “put on something from a bottle called Frivolous Fawn.” Andy McLaglen took one look and said, “OK, you win. We go back to gray.” The late Martin Melcher, Doris Day’s husband and manager, took a look at Graves’ first day rushes, gray and all, and asked him, “How come you aren’t a big star?” Quipped Graves: “Because I’m not married to Martin Melcher.”
But Melcher was wrong (Miss Day hadn’t started her TV series at that point). In terms of audience, Graves was even then a big star. “More people have seen me on TV in two nights,” he once put it, “than the total number of people who have paid to see ‘Gone With the Wind’ for 30-odd years.” Graves recalls a conversation with Joel McCrea in which the movie actor referred to Graves’ brother, Jim Arness, the seemingly eternal star of “Gunsmoke”. He commented on what a great job Jim had done and talked about how many years he’d lasted. He said when he was in studios seven years was the average endurance of a star, not the big ones - the Gables, the Bogarts - but take Dana Andrews.
"I’d guess,” says Peter, “if you look back, he was a star for only seven years.“ “In a sense, the stars today are on TV, because that is the medium. Movie stars, as we knew them, no longer exist, but I think they can again. For the past 10 years, everything has been anti-hero, but I sense a change. The heroes of the ‘60s were the John Kennedys or the John Glenns. People now want a hero they can identify with or admire. Once the motion pictures straighten themselves out, the first girl to make three good pictures in a row will be a star.” Graves, who once made a movie with Gary Cooper (“The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell,” 1955), was impressed with the late great star’s reply when someone asked him to what he owed his success: “Good parts in good pictures,” said the man who was spare with words, on-screen and off. “No truer words were ever spoken,” says Peter. “You can do bad parts in good pictures or good parts in bad pictures and maybe get a little personal satisfaction. But the key to it all is good parts in good pictures.”
It occurred to me then that for Graves, the “good part” might as well be the one that reflects his own self. He sat, the debonair man of 6 foot 3 inches, conservatively dressed in a Madison Avenue-gray worsted suit, a Rep tie that evoked the Brooks Bros. (logo [illegible] and all), a pale blue shirt that duplicated the costume-requirements of the early days of color TV. “Do you know what parts are right for you?” I asked. “Well, I think so. I doubt very much that I’d remove all my clothing and simulate any sex act on screen,” said Peter soberly. “I think that kind of appearance on screen is strictly faddistic and confined to its time. It fascinates me that the Readers Digest has had one article an issue for the past 40 years on sex education. I don’t know if that means that everyone is uncertain about sex.” “I think the general public’s attitude, particularly in the United States, has changed greatly vis-a-vis sex. I think whatever the Puritan ethic was that dictated restrictions on sex is being broken down. I think that’s a good thing, particularly concerning the teaching of the young. I think the pornographic movies do appeal to the prurient in us.” “People do want to read about sex in the Readers Digest. But they also want to see it on the screen, but pornography on the screen can be faddish, because the screen belongs first of all to the writer. When writers write good stories, people will go to look at them.” “Watching the sex act may turn you on for a while, but it’s got to get tiring. Pornographic films cater to the basic instinct, but not to all that instinct implies - which is love. I think that’s the reason for the high success of ‘Love Story.’ It’s about two people who go to bed together, yes - but mostly they’re in love.” Graves learned about love, and the Puritan ethic, as the son of a traveling salesman for a surgical supply company. He was born Peter Aurness on March 18, 1926, in Minneapolis. “I think we were born 6 feet tall and then started to grow from there,” he says.
His brother, Jim, is three years older and three inches taller than Peter. “My dad’s not particularly tall, only 5 feet, 11 inches," but his mother was almost 6 feet and straight as a ramrod - "a German woman who used to scare the hell out of me.” During high school, Peter took up the clarinet and the saxophone. At 15, he became the youngest member of the musicians’ union, playing with local dance bands for spending money. He once turned down a request to play with the Lawrence Welk Orchestra, then on tour in nearby South Dakota. “I was at school, so there was no chance.” He’d joined the staff of radio station WMIN as an announcer at the age of 16. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Air Corps. After his discharge two years later, he wanted to go to the Julliard School of Music, but finally entered the University of Minnesota instead. Peter majored in drama, which led him west to Hollywood. His brother, Jim, already was here, but he’d had no degree of success. “He was a disaster case,” says Peter. “I came out with a friend from school, (director) Jack Smight. I remember we told the porter on the train we were going to be actors, and he said ‘Don’t. They’re all going the other way - to New York.’ “Jim met us at the station and said, ‘Go back.’ We wouldn’t, so he checked me into the Hollywood YMCA, which is a far cry from Hotel Bel-Air, I’ll tell you. Jim gave me a copy of the Hollywood Reporter and said, ‘Go.’” “We went, making the usual rounds of agents, but the going was rough.”
His college sweetheart, Joan Endress, followed him from Minnesota, and after he landed a job in a feature, “Rogue River”, with Rory Calhoun, Joan and Peter were married. Joan worked for some time as a doctor’s receptionist to keep them afloat in those difficult days when TV was just starting and giving the movie industry problems. Peter had taken a name from his mother’s side, Graves, because his brother was using their simplified family name, Arness. Peter’s first big break came with Billy Wilder’s movie, “Stalag 17”; “Paramount had seen me in a couple of Westerns, and said ‘No, Graves looks like an all-American. We need someone who looks like a German spy.’ My agent, Paul Kohner, persisted. He knew Billy Wilder. We went to Wilder’s house on afternoon and he kept walking around and looking at me like and going like this-“ Peter spread his hands on either side of his face, imitating the director’s gesture that simulates what you see through a camera lens - the frame. Wilder gave him a screen test and the part. But after the movie, at option time, “Paramount said, ‘Forget it. We’re only going to make two pictures a year. Not only that, but you’re a German spy. We’re looking for an all-American boy.’”
A new producer, Howard Koch (“Odd Couple”) used Peter in several films. With “Beneath the 12 Mile Reef” at Fox, that studio took an option for a contract. “I thought that was it. We were shooting in Florida and they kept saying, ‘Darryl Zanuck likes you.’ Pretty soon came word that Zanuck did like me, but he was dropping me because Fox was only going to make one picture in the next year.” The picture was “The Egyptian,” an extravagant project intended for Marlon Brando, who dropped out. Zanuck wanted to test his then-girlfriend Bella Daryl, for a role. He asked Graves to test with her. “It was massive,” he recalls. “Full wardrobes. Huge sets. We rehearsed for two weeks in Michael Curtiz’s office. Leon Samroy (a very top cinematographer) shot it. Well, anyway, Bella got the part but I didn’t.” (Edmund Purdom starred in the film.) Peter’s one try at Broadway was unsuccessful: He played in Paul Gregory’s “The Captains and the Kings,” which got “so-so notices,” and folded after 10 performances. Graves really found his legs, so to speak, in TV. Paramount’s “Mission” is his fourth series. The others were “Fury,” “Whiplash” and “Court Martial.”
Joan and Peter live with their three daughters in a house in Santa Monica, Calif., which Peter says is haunted. It was built by a German couple called Von Lichtenberg. “There was some sort of tragedy. I’ve never seen the ghost, but I’ve heard it. We have a cukoo clock that hasn’t worked for 20 years. Occasionally it strikes.” Although he works for the American Cancer Society, he hasn’t given up smoking: “I enjoy it, and I haven’t gotten to the point where it’s affected me. I resent the label on cigarets. If they’re going to warn you why don’t they put the same sign at the entrance to every freeway, or on every banana that’s sold? You can slip on the peel, you know.” The only “romantic lead” Graves ever wanted to play is the starring role in a remake of “Dodsworth”: “That story could be updated to now and would make a great picture. But I think Sam Goldwyn still owns it.”
On the other hand, with his conservatism, it’s unlikely the man who is as he seems would back a film. “You cannot simplify human intelligence, emotion, and growth. To watch the frills and foibles of a human psyche is fascinating. All of which adds up to the fact that I might not put a dime of my own in a movie right now.” With “Mission” and Graves both near-institutions, it’s not very likely he’ll ever have to.

HEY NOW...
Tumblr media
aw thanks anon!! i did post my gif resources a while ago but i can post an updated one of these soon and include some psds! my gifs really aren't that good tho anon — if i'm being honest, i don't really spend that much time on colouring like i could — so if you can find someone PROPERLY good (usually a film/tv blog, as you can imagine) they may have really expert tips 🤔
Tumblr media
as someone who has been at the ugliest end of reddit & discord tv/britcom fans' trolldom (too nice a word, really), and lived through the fucking unending years-long era of that one incel's rule over the panel show subreddit, i understand the reticence to participate in those spaces — even though, these days, they're mostly pleasant enough and subs that supply downloads (tv_bunny is life) are more or less transactional. that said, the purpose of this blog has always been to service the people who can't or don't torrent — who a lot of reddit & discord tv/britcom fans don't have the patience for, but i digress — so it doesn't bother me that a lot of my followers don't know reddit as well as i do. no worries!
Tumblr media
omg! recently i watched after life (i love kerry godliman!!!!!!!), dara ó briain's new special, and i've also been doing my biannual re-listen of the entire horne section podcast because it is so fucking impeccable chef's kiss! i was catching up on guessable but it's really, deeply, truly mid, so i kinda gave up for a while and switched over to breeders (martin freeman agenda continues). otherwise non-panel show things, some films like close, return to dust, un beau matin, etc. — but that's for my main hehe i'm someone who wishes i could watch 10000 things in one day T_T
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hahaha i do get asked this a lot!!! like you there's just so. many. and i often chicken out of substantially answering this because if i forget anyone i'll kick myself SO hard later
but
back in the day i answered a similar question about some non-comedians i want to see on taskmaster AND I SAID AMELIA DIMOLDENBERG AND IT CAME TRUE
LIKE
MY BRAIN 🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠🧠
SO MAYBE I CAN MANIFEST THINGS LET'S TRY 🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮
this is personal to me, of course, and i'm considering people i really love + who i think would be really fun specifically on taskmaster, so in a somewhat priority order...
robert webb
stephen mangan
robert irwin
martin freeman
catherine tate
jessica hynes
miles jupp
simon amstell (preferably on the same season as jessica hynes because about 15 years ago (literally) i used to watch this clip religiously, and i'm sure that has something very specific to say about why i am the way i am but we don't have time to psychoanalyse me rn)
larry dean
ed byrne
holly walsh
diane morgan
daniel radcliffe
charlie brooker
hugh laurie
susie dent (omg i was CACKLING at susie, who is never on panel shows(!!!), being on the same episode of guessable as nick helm — and now i kinda wanna see her on the same series of tm as nick helm muhahaha)
kayvan novak
limmy
paul foot
bill bailey
lawrence chaney (i also love the vivienne of course! but i think lawrence may be more fit for tm while the vivenne is more fit for something like celeb juice; btw just watched her on guessable with ivo graham, and ivo calling her "viv"...omg...it did something to me...it really did...again, we're not talking about why i am the way i am)
vic reeves
the sexted boys
some other randoms people i'd certainly be happy to see, even if they don't make the priority manifesting roster — ahir shah, adam buxton, danny dyer, jimmy carr, graham norton, matt berry, glenn moore, maggie aderin-pocock, gary delaney, hal cruttenden, rhys james, huge davies, josie long, alasdair beckett-king, gino d'acampo, julian barrett, and tonsss of actors but we'd be here all day
i don't think there are many people i vehemently do not want to see on the show. while there are of course a few comedians i just don't like, and if taskmaster puts another tory politician on the panel again i'll fucking write in with my upset, the disappointment i typically feel if and when i see a new lineup is more along the lines of "meh they're fine but they took the place of someone i'd much rather see". but tm is also so good at introducing us to people we may not have seen much of before — and then we love them, so i trust the producers and alex a lot!
