Hello, Sleppy! There is one thing I have always wanted to know about Jade but did not dare ask. Tell me, please, what happened to Jade and Simon in the original CoD universe? I saw a sketch of crying Jade, was it her reaction to Simon's death or in your universe he managed to survive? P.S. - I am sorry if you do not like this question at all.
Okay so since I rarely post about the OG!MW2 anymore, I'm just gonna reveal the whole plot to you guys (ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ)
Be ready cuz this is kinda long - these are the canon divergence that I constructed in the events that my OC's are inserted into the OG!MW2 plot.
So, Jade was actually sent by the MI6 to track down what actually happened that made Russia attack US out of nowhere. Because that Zakhaev Airport massacre sounded and looked FISHY as HECK. Being the MI6 she was, Jade had to report regularly to her handler in MI6 (141 didn’t know this. It’s her personal gig). She met Soap Ghost and Roach there, but her first meeting with Ghost was bad and blab la blaaa SHE OPENED GHOST'S MASK. She also met Ellie (another OC I had for Gaz who’s a medical corps leader in 141. Gaz died in the OG!MW, she was still saddened but she’s very glad to have Jade in the base).
There’s also another OC that I have named Bara. He’s a lone Indonesian Denjaka sniper lieutenant that got sent by the country to capture an Indo defector among Makarov’s cause. Because of political reasons, he’s not a 141. Bara’s like an ally that pop out sometime somewhere like a spirit. 141 themselves were still very suspicious of him, but when Bara saved Meat and Royce in Rio, he gained their trust, and 141 would help him find the defector as Bara would help them on their missions.
Now, sometime in the middle, Jade was captured by Makarov and got tortured by him. Jade intentionally didn’t escape and held the pain in to gain some info herself from anyone inside the room or from Makarov himself. And that’s where the (How about you check who you surround yourself with) and Jade’s gears started turning inside her brain. She released herself and ran amok around Mak’s place, and found some data about “anonymous source” that said there’ s mole among Makarov’s group in the massacre (we know it is Joseph Allen) and she SENT THAT STRAIGHT to MI6. Ghost and the boys found the compound and rescued a badly injured Jade.
So like, along the story, Jade found bits and pieces, put two and two together, and by the end, Jade’s 90% sure that Shepherd’s onto something shitty.
NOW HERE’S THE CANON DIVERGENCE IN LOOSE ENDS MISSION.
As Jade, Roach, and Ghost went to Makarov’s base at the Georgian-Russian border, Jade actually took the time to read the posts, notes, and all the info that were sticked to the boards, tables, and walls. In fact, as Ghost and Roach was busy fighting off Makarov’s goons, Jade READ that shit (because at that point she didn’t trust Shepherd AT ALL).
And you guessed it, she found out that Shepherd is the mastermind behind every damn thing.
So when Roach transferred the data to the DSM, she did her magic and unbeknownst to everyone, she SENT ALL the proof to MI6 on the spot.
Jade then told Ghost and Roach about everything, and they did NOT trust Shepherd anymore. So when the general told them to go the fields, they declined and decided to hold the fort inside the house. Shepherd knew something was wrong, so when he kept pressing the three to get out of the house, but again, the three didn’t oblige, the general and the shadows decided to finally go to the house.
Shepherd and the Shadows cleared the whole area from enemies and tried to find Ghost, Roach, Jade, and the others in the house. One by one, the SC people got killed with stealth. Things led to another, and chaos ensued inside the house. Shepherd could’ve burnt down the house with the 141 in it, but Shepherd’s paranoid that Jade had done something, and he NEEDED that DSM.
Shootout happened, and Jade got one of the SC as a shield with a gun to his head. Shepherd told Jade to give him the DSM, and convo happened, Shepherd finally revealed his motives. And now he had to get rid of the three of them.
AND THEN, MI6 contacted Jade, saying that the proof about Shepherd’s doing had gone public. The whole thing was his doing all long, and now the world had turned all their forces towards finding Shepherd. Russia, US, now began their search on Shepherd! WOOHOO
Panicked, Shepherd yelled at SC as reinforcements came, along with Price and Soap who came straight fom Kazakhstan to the place, Meat and Royce (who survived Rio), Archer and Toad, everyone came to help.
CLIMAX ENSUED, and Ghost got shot twice protecting Jade from Shepherd’s bullets.
As Jade held Ghost on her arms, Price and Soap, with Nikolai’s help, chased Shepherd who’s desperately tried to escape and killed him. Minus the Soap getting stabbed.
Don’t worry, Ghost survived because ELLIE WILL NOT let him leave Jade like Gaz left her too fast. So Ghost survived WOOHOOO.
The Jade crying sketch was, indeed, a cry of relief as Ellie told her that Ghost was going to be fine (❁´◡`❁). She wore Ghost's jacket to comfort herself during the times Ghost was unconscious, and this sketch came out!
Everybody lives, no WW3, no MW3. This is REAL MOVIE ASS SHIT but it’s what’s in my mind!
I have the whole ass fic about the post-Loose Ends angst at the ready if y'all want it.

While reading this very short chapter I kept asking myself: so, what is the soul of Gaul? What’s in its essence, in the essence of gaminerie? Based on the examples mentioned and what we have learned about the gamin so far, two fundamental characteristics emerge: a talent for mocking authority and a perpetual readiness to rebel. (It has just occurred to me that these are traits that I also associate with modern French people — in addition to dozen others.)
And let’s be honest: these are skills that people excel at when they are unhappy, and that’s what Hugo says in the last sentence of this chapter: “the gamin is a being who amuses himself, because he is unhappy.”
Regarding Joseph Bara, the drummer-boy and little martyr killed by counter-revolutionaries in Vendée, there is another aspect to the story. Unfortunately, he was part of a military campaign that spiraled into an uncontrollable massacre affecting all the Vendéens, including republicans, resulting in the decimation of the population. French historian Reynald Secher described these events as a genocide against the people of Vendée. It is a gruesome tale.
There is a new amusing detail about the gamin: "He is strong on boxing."

so, speaking of Les Mis Letters I was rewatching Napoleon 1927 and there is a small detour in the movie about Barra the drummer boy, mentioned in this chapter (3.1.11)!
the TL,DR here is that Hugo considers 14/15 to be the age of lost innocence and also that there is a society that exists around Great Events made up of people who need to live and work. And this is interesting!
Napoleon (movie) is hard to follow because it was cut down from 8 hours to just under 4 (another reason this is the perfect companion for the brick. It's Thicc and Meandering) so I don't think the drummer boy we see in the movie is Joseph Bara, I think he mentions Bara in conversation with the general (who isn't Napoleon) and then he goes into battle disguised as a drum. It's very funny, he moves in stop-motion and knocks people over. Anyway, the real Joseph Bara was killed by counter-revolutionary forces at Vendée at age 13.
But also the figure of the Gamin that attaches himself to a garrison doesn't seem like an unusual sight? There seems to be a whole society that forms around battlefields and armies. My school teachers taught me that, and idk if this is accurate cause I've been doing some revisions of what I was taught in school... regardless, this society is the reason that during the crusades there seemed to be a reopening of commerce between Europe and the Middle East, other than just the fact that Europeans pillaged a bunch of shit. We had a generalized moving of people and camps and caravans. And the soldiers needed to be fed and clothed.
And I was mentioning this last time I went to a protest, cause there are a lot of walking salespeople selling beer and water and soda at these things. They don't usually care what the protest is about, they have their own political opinions of course but the thing is they need money to live so they go to any gathering and outwardly they either don't express their opinions or express support. It's a weird figure to follow around in a fiction
Monsieur Thenardier is one such people, and Eponine is basically a fruit of the Waterloo battlefield. And the society that exists on the fringes is what this book is really about. Javert and Fantine are also fruits of this same type of society (not the one that follws the armies but the one that is, to quote hugo, a child of the puddle) as are the patron minette, Gavroche, Feuilly...
Hugo obviously focuses on the child to be the avatar of the city because of their innocence. And Gavroche will be right at the age of turning too old to be a gamin, like Bara was, at the end. This also got me thinking about that thing Hugo says (will say later in the book) about Cosette when she's around 14/15. Sexism to the side, this age is for Hugo the age of lost innocence. Strangely he gives Marius a lot of leeway with that cutoff, being so sheltered that his 'lost innocence' is probably happening when he's reading about Napoleon (Emperor's Mercy canon?)
I also wonder if there's a real theme here.

you know what? fuck it. i'm just gonna say it.
pt3 oldseph is hot. the fact that he's literally 69 years old, has a wife, a child, and a fuckin grandchild is irrelevant. (not that him having a wife really mattered, since he has a son with another woman- granted, he didn't know josuke existed in pt3, but still)
the point i'm trying to make is that i'd fuck the old man. if joseph fucking joestar wanted me to pound him, i would. hell, i'd suck his big bara grandpa titties like a breastfeeding baby if given the opportunity. he could have it any way he wanted.

jojo parts ive watched/read ranked in terms of accidental but still ultimately homosexual energy btw. sorry if this controversial but im speaking my truth and AM open to critique……..
1. stocean obviously. jolyne and her yuri girlfriends and her stated jealousy of snails for their ability to fuck anything…….. she is the number one gay bitch of jojos. also pucci is there as the main villain which adds a million points
2. (unfortunately) battle tendency i believe….. mostly due to the pillar mens fat asses and dubstep club theme. also joseph getting oiled up and getting rings put on him (again unfortunate but ultimately it is what it is)
3. diamond is unbreakable. josuke is one of the if not Thee most potently Gay Boy character in all of jojos and his teen marriage to okuyasu shouldnt be ignored. but ultimately they are balanced out by kiras equally potent metrosexuality.
4. phantom blood actually. the rare jojo bara fest with jonathan and also dios on screen evil bisexuality and campiness is at full display. and speedwagon should of course be recognized as the First Gay Man in jojos universe.
5. stardust crusaders. not actually very gay comparitively except for polnaref and avdols whole deal and agreeing to go for a dinner date before one of them died. sad! would get higher placement for dios potent evil bisexuality but ultimately his on screen time is so limited in the part that it cant save it
6. steel ball run. johnny and gyro have simply no chance of beating the allegations of being gayasses. and hotpants and diego are there. but ultimately similar to part 4 all of this is even more balanced out and negated by funny valentines agressive heterosexuality and the somehow even more unfortunate inclusion of an actually canonically gay character being. well. very bad.
7. golden wind. contrary to popular belief not actually gay, just european

SPELARNAS BETYG
Leeds: Meslier 6; Gray 6, Ampadu 6, Rodon 6, Junior Firpo 6; Gruev 6, Kamara 6; Gnonto 6, Rutter 6, Summerville 5; Piroe 5.
Ersättare: James 8, Roberts 6, Anthony 6, Joseph 6, Southampton: McCarthy 7; Harwood-Bellis 8, Bednarek 8, Stephens 8; Walker-Peters 7, Aribo 7, Downes 7, Smallbone 8, Fraser 6; Brooks 6, Armstrong 8. Utbyten: Edozie 6, Adams 6, Manning 6.
Matchens höjdpunkter
24' MÅL! LEEDS 0-1 SOUTHAMPTON (ARMSTRONG)!
49' RODON DRIVER IN I BOXEN!

Top 5 Historical Churches in the Philippines that Stand the Test of Time
Tumblr media
Since the Spanish colonization era in the Philippines, various churches have risen nationwide. Though many of these churches have experienced their fair share of wear and tear, historical churches in the Philippines are still standing strong.
List of Historical Churches in the Philippines
Spain’s colonization of the Philippines spanned over three hundred years and had lasting effects on the country’s culture. Their influence is still evident today in Filipino tradition and structures. This article aims to explore a list of historic churches in the country due to Spanish colonization.
Parish Church of San Agustin of Intramuros
Located in Intramuros, this parish is known to be the oldest church in the Philippines, constructed with stone. Originally, the church was built on bamboo and nipa leaves in 1571. However, due to its weak structure, it was destroyed by typhoons and strong winds. In the year 1586, a resolution was made to build a church with a stronger structure using adobe stone. Large stone slabs were cut from quarries in various places like Guadalupe, Meycauyan, and San Mateo, Rizal.
Additionally, the parish’s design and structure were designed by architect Juan Marcias on the intersection of Calle Real and St. Lucia Street. From its construction in 1587, the church took several years to complete until 1607.
Paoay Church, Ilocos Norte
This historical church in Ilocos Norte was completed in 1710 and recognized as a National Cultural Treasure and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is popular for having twenty-four large buttresses on its sides and back. The church’s pyramid-like structure makes it so distinctive from other parishes in the country. Moreover, its architecture showcases the earthquake baroque style due to its thick walls made of coral stones and bricks. This style is popular among historical Philippine churches to minimize the effects of earthquakes.
Additionally, the church stood as an observation post by Katipuneros during the revolution by guerrilleros against the Japanese. It has seen its fair share of catastrophes in Philippine history, from surviving natural destruction like earthquakes and typhoons to serving as war headquarters for Filipinos.
Parish Church of Saint Joseph of Baras, Rizal
Another historical church in the Philippines is located in Baras, Rizal. Originally, it was built in 1595 by Franciscans after Aetas burned down the area as an act of rebellion. After the Aeta’s retribution, the town moved to Ibayo in 1636 but returned to its current location in 1682.
The inside of the church has also been preserved with its original external structure. The interior boasts exposed wooden trusses supporting the parish’s roofing. However, the church is unlike other parishes that showcase decorated ceilings since these are not popular in the area. Visiting this church will surely make individuals feel like they are traveling back in time.
Bacarra Church, Ilocos Norte
This church has been included in the list of historical Churches in the Philippines. Visitors can visit this church museum in its former convent, which stores religious and cultural artifacts and other archival images and documents. Moreover, this parish is known for the Torres di Bacarra or its “beheaded” belfry. It is also another National Historical Landmark and a National Cultural Treasure.
The Torre di Bacarra was once one of the highest buildings in the Philippines, with an original design of a sixteen by sixteen-meter base and fifty meters tall. It was once the highest bell tower in the country until earthquakes damaged the structure. The ruined parts of the tower remain untouched and are now filled with beautiful greenery.
Majayjay Church, Laguna
Originally built with plywood, its original structure was not made to last. The current structure of the Majayjay church has Romanesque roots and is two hundred feet long, fifty-six feet wide, and fifty-four meters high. The parish boasts three stories, and at the highest point is a triangular pediment paired with a circular window. It was originally built in 1649 and has been renovated ever since. Today, the parish has azulejo tiles, a glazed and colored Spanish tile.
This church is also declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA). Augustinian missionaries spearheaded the structure, partly burned in 1660 and restructured in 1707. Furthermore, it served as an American base during the Filipino-American war and was once restructured in 1912.
Final Thoughts
There are still numerous historical churches in the Philippines to this day. These churches have witnessed numerous strides in national history and culture. They are now more than safe spaces for believers; they are also testaments to Filipino architecture and tourist spots. That said, they always showcase the popular designs in those areas when they were built.
