2023 reading list: Green Lantern/Green Arrow (1970)
"I've lived this long without learning that 'bad' doesn't have to be a bug-eyed monster or a mad scientist... nor is it always hidden!"
(ID under the cut.)
ID: Five edited panels from the 1970 run of Green Lantern/Green Arrow. Four are animated.
1: Hal Jordan stands in front of a city skyline in civilian clothes. A green light slowly appears and rotates around him. He flashes green and, as the light fades, is wearing his Green Lantern uniform. The words "Green Lantern" are written in a bold green text.
2: A green pickup truck moves down a country road between two mountains.
3: Old Timer sits at a campfire. The image is desaturated except for greens and yellows. Green Lantern and Green Arrow hover midair in front of the landscape.
4: Old Timer, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Black Canary all stand in a bubble of green light. They're surrounded by outer space. Stars flicker in and out of existence around them.
5: Oliver Queen stands in front of a forested mountain landscape. Four green chevrons move across the image. As they pass in front of him, Oliver changes to be in his Green Arrow costume. The words "Green Arrow" are written in a bold green text.
/End ID.

what music do you think Bruce and Hal listen to?
Bruce: He doesn’t listen to music that often (I think he'd find everything other than classical music distracting when he's working), but I think he likes most genres, though his preference is actually mostly 70's-90's disco and pop. You'll have to pry Bruce being a Prince fan from my cold dead hands thanks to my fave post ever. I think the kids help keep him pretty up to date with current music trends and stars and he keeps an ear out on the local Gotham music scene, so while he wouldn't claim to be that big a music guy he can recommend you like 50 (sometimes undiscovered) bands (here, have my other fave music related Bruce post).
Hal: Hal on the other hand is not on earth enough to keep up with anything past the 90's. Classic rock dad type music for this guy (Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd make me think of him most), but I know in my heart that he dances round his kitchen to Britney, putting his whole ass into his one man performance of Toxic when no one is watching.
I think they'd have a decent overlap in music taste, even if Hal probably dies laughing when he first sees Bruce's playlists. He was expecting death metal, not Club Tropicana.

Hello everyone! It's week 4, and our second 'in-between' week, of our re-run through the Class Ongoing story so far! If you haven't checked it out already, you can find our last episode re-release from last week here.
Today we're resharing our third side-story, Leaving Bannerman Road, written by @intuitive-revelations, with cover art by @liria10.
After a surprise appearance from Sky Smith in Episode One: Fallen Soul, we go back to Bannerman Road, five years after the events of the Sarah Jane Adventures: Series 5, to find out what she's doing here in Coal Hill. Available here.
We also have the second installment of our new tie-in, The Lost Diary Entries of a Rhodian Prince, written as collab between @intuitive-revelations (who also illustrated), @avariciousambitions (who wrote this entry), and @bazwillendinflames. This time, Charlie writes about the events of Call of the Void, and their impact on Matteusz and himself.
As a reminder, The Lost Diary Entries of a Rhodian Prince is meant to double as a spoiler-filled recap of each episode from Charlie's perspective, so do not read if you're in the middle of reading that story, or planning to do so.
Please also be aware that Call of the Void and this entry directly discussing those events each contain mentions/depictions of attempted suicide. Please proceed with caution if these themes are at all damaging or distressing.
A text version is available here, at the same link as previously, PDF now updated to include Part 2.
