"El eslabón más importante" del "Motor eléctrico" la "Rueda de Barlow" "Peter Barlow"

Podemos considerar los experimentos de Michael Faraday en 1821 con conductores e imanes flotando en mercurio como el primer esbozo de un motor eléctrico y aún más allá, hasta los experimentos de Christian Oersted y de Johann Schweigger pueden disputar tal honor.

Pero uno de los eslabones más importantes en el camino hacia el motor eléctrico es la rueda de Barlow (1822) debida a Peter Barlow (1776-1862), donde, a una rueda de cobre colocada entre los polos de un potente imán, se le comunica una corriente continua, poniéndose en ése momento a girar,
