Flowering apocalypse character refs :)

Making outfits for a 1000 yr apocalypse is hard, because what. Do they use?? For dying clothes?? I know natural dyes are likely the primary source of dyes, but would they also use like… how do they make black colors? Mix blue and purple? That washes to be progressively lighter over time? Also there isn’t any natural blue dyes you can use, but I guess in this apocalypse there would be more emphasis on flower based dyes because of all the flowers they have to grow? Would they use wax to make designs? Or maybe embroidery? But embroidery coasts time and resources and patience, which ups the price because they haven’t made robots to do any of that yet!! They have embroidery machines because those are rather simple in theory but like… what would they think of? I imagine they would want thicker cloths and fabrics to help diminish possibilities of bite-infection, but that means that cloth would likely be more expensive due to them needing to weave it closer together! It would also mean that clothes like dresses are more weighed down, along with stuff like jackets. AND LEATHER ON JODDDD DONT LET ME START ON LEATHER DYING AND TANNING AHHHHHHHHHH

Anyways I’m normal about this, I’ve never even heard of an „overthink“
