edit because a reblog made great points.I was debating on if Jakob and David’s roles should be switched and yeah I don’t really see David as the scapegoat anymore. I think David would’ve replaced Jakob as the golden child once he left. Also I did use a pic of younger Jakob for a reason instead of his older one. Nicholas always planned to use Jakob as a sacrifice for his desire of paradise and always told Jakob his life would have great significance. Jakob was groomed to be exploited. Which I think fits the golden child category. But the amount of taunting and cruelty Jakob receives in paradise I can see how he would the scape goat.
