Friends Or Nah….

Xavier x Reader

 Prompt: You and Xavier are best friends. One day he starts acting super weird and no longer wants to do anything with you (no video games or hanging out). After several failed attempts you finally find him in his locker room and well…..just wait to see.

No warning, maybe a little fluff here and there.

As your legs swing back and forth; you are waiting on your best friend Xavier trying to figure out what exactly is going on between you two. Things have been really weird between you guys these past weeks. You guys use to chill and watch movies, go out to different video game and comic book stores for events but now he has been very different. It has been weeks of no contact and all of a sudden he just avoids you. Every time you try to talk to him, he brushes you off and goes somewhere else. You were even doing different challenges on UpUpDownDown until he told you one day that he didn’t want you on there for a while with no explanation. So here you are, sitting back stage on a bunker waiting, hoping you can catch him.

You hopped and down made your way through the halls.

“Hey have you guys seen Xavier,” you ask Sasha and Bayley as they walk pass but they shake their heads no. So you set off to find Kofi. If anyone knew where he was, then of course it would be him.

“Kofi!” I scream

“Hey y/n, what’s up?” he says with a big smile.

“Do you know where Xavier is?”

“”Well I’m not sure but check in his dressing room. That’s where he was headed a few minutes ago.”

“Thanks,” I yell running as fast as I can. As I get to the door I swing it open as fast as I can and slam it behind me.

“What the hell is going on? You have been avoiding me for weeks, not answering texts or calls and brushing me off. Now what is going on Xavier!” I yell not being able to control my anger.

“He..Hey y/n sorry about that. I guess I do need to explain myself,” he says in almost a whisper.

“Well the problem is uh I…”

“What is it Xavier, what did I do??”

“Nothing, you did nothing. You just are so damn beautiful! I have been avoiding you because I think I am in love with you.”

“You what?” I say shyly.

“I love you y/n“he says stepping closer.

“I have been trying to get the words to say it but when I realized that I couldn’t be around you without wanting to kiss you, I had to distance myself. What if you didn’t like me? I kept wondering if you felt the same way. Every time I was near you I had the urge to kiss you…just…like..right…now..” he mumbles closing the gap before completely covering his lips with yours. Once you get your wits about yourself you finally kiss him back.

“So tell me, do you feel the same way?” he asks nervously

“Yes, I’ve been waiting on you to tell me.” I answer with a big smile.

“So let’s go out to eat okay, I owe you anyway.” Xavier says grabbing my hand and leading the way.

The roar of the crowd was absolutely deafening as you pranced down the ramp. It was your first time fighting at a live event and to say you was nervous an understatement. It was hard to deny the fact that you loved Sasha and Bayley especially since they were also your best friends. The match in your eyes were perfect if only wouldn’t have been included. Everyone else was happy except her. You all hugged in the gorilla which was captured and put on the WWE Instagram. You see Liv in the background looking salty which the universe had a great time making fun of her for that. You and Naomi walk back to your shared dressing room and relax for a few. Before you get there you are greeted by Naomi’s husband Jimmy and his twin brother Jey. Jey just got a divorce 2 years ago. You two never really talked or anything mostly because he would never talk around you. Jimmy would try to start a conversation between you two but Jey would only say 1 word or 2 and then end the conversation. You always felt there was something else he needed to say to you but never did. OR everyone knew something you didn’t. When Jimmy and Jey leave for their promo, you start drilling Naomi with questions.

“What’s that all about? Is he afraid of me or something?” I ask curiously.

“Umm not that I know of, I’m assuming he just didn’t have much to talk about,” Naomi says avoid eye contact.

“Naomi, truth what is up with Jey and why is so weird around me? We all hang out all the time but he never says anything and I’m seriously starting to wonder if I just need to not come around since I make him feel so uncomfortable.”

“You don’t make him uncomfortable. He really likes you and can’t say it. He is so unsure about what he is feeling and does not want to mess it up by saying anything. You know he is kind of freshly divorced, he is still pretty hurt about the whole her having an affair things so he just does not want to rush anything with anyone.” She says.

“Well you know I would never know that he likes me because he won’t even look at me. How does he know how I look since he doesn’t look at me?” I say annoyed.

“Do you like him?” she asks.

“Hell I don’t know because we have never talked an every time I try to he just gets quiet and walks away from me. And how long has this been a thing? This didn’t just start today.” I reply.

“Well really since you got here, he’s been asking about you since you walked in. But at first it was just out of curiosity then he started really drilling me about you. I asked Jimmy to get me more information and he told me Jey had a crush on you and then that turned into him getting nervous whenever you were around. Sorry I didn’t tell you but Jey kept telling me not to say anything.”

“Well I’m going to do something about it. I won’t say a word but I’m going to catch him by his self and make him talk to me. He can’t be afraid of me forever.” I say setting out to find him. As soon as I turn the corner I see him with Jimmy. They are finishing up so I stand there in perfect view watching them. I know he can see me because he has frozen up completely. Once they are finished I walk up to Jimmy.

“Hey what’s up y/n “

“Oh nothing I need to speak with Jey…alone.” I say never taking my eyes off of Jey.

“Sure, bro you got this.” He says reassuring his brother.

I grab his hand leading him to an empty locker room. I close the door and make him sit down.

“Jey why won’t you speak to me? You won’t even look at me.” I know the answer but this is enough. He can totally talk to me; I don’t bite.

“Well um, see.” He starts

“Tell me, I think you owe me an explanation. You never talk to me or even speak. You avoid eye contact with me like now,” I grab his chin and make him look at me.

“Look y/n, do you not see yourself? Do you not realize how beautiful you are and how lovely you are? I have never met anyone like you and I really don’t wanna mess this up.” He responds finally making eye contact with me. He really is beautiful, his long hair, his light olive skin and those light brown eyes. His cheek bones and facial features were amazing.

“I’m sorry I should have told you. Let’s start over okay. I’m Jey and you are?”

“y/n Nice to meet you Jey,” I say giggling.
