ok i can’t get the ideas for a bsd x spn au out of my head so just work with me here for a little bit. just brainstorming. just having some fun!

— atsushi is sam, the kid doomed basically since birth, sought after by higher powers for his unique abilities. generally quite mellow and kind hearted but will be strong and aggressive if needs be

— chuuya is dean, the older brother, destined to be a vessel for a being far greater than himself; to be the sword that heaven can use as it pleases

— dazai is castiel, the angel who rebelled, the one being that could change the course of God’s creation

i think the DOA should (fittingly) be angels (minus bram), and i also think the port mafia should take up the majority of the angels’ numbers

the agency could be a mix of other monster hunters, or monsters themselves, whilst the hunting dogs are demons (perhaps the princes of hell?) and the guild are just randomly split up between monsters, demons and angels

I still find it so sick how Fukuchi went to Akutagawa and was like "join the Hunting Dogs, be my subordinate", and after Akutagawa refused Fukuchi just hijacked his body and mind and used him as a weapon against his will

The first time he received an offer to be mentored, Dazai basically said it's all up to him whether he would join or not and that there would be no consequences if he refused. Aku joining the Port Mafia was his choice, unlike him becoming Fukuchi's mindless vampire.

And we know from Mori in chapter 37 that it's common for Akutagawa to go off and do his own thing, even without explicit orders. Even if he has higher-ups to answer to, he still had a certain amount of freedom in the Port Mafia:

Agency is really important to Akutagawa. It's SO twisted that Fukuchi took that away from him

He doesn’t know why he brings it up. Well, he kind of does. He’s just… really confused. Because he’s a Hunting Dog, he isn’t really a part of the Port Mafia. And yet…

Somehow, he feels like he’s been here his whole life even though it’s only been four months. Working with Gin and Hirotsu and even Higuchi and Akutagawa is different from working with the Hunting Dogs. It feels more natural here. And he hates it because he does love the rest of the Hunting Dogs—they’re basically his family at this point.

It scares him, how easily he slipped into this.
