im all for headcanons and the angst potential but it is important to me that y'all remember tachihara will not die if he doesn't have the monthly maintenance surgery. he got a less-invasive version of the procedure because he was going to be going undercover in the mafia and thus wouldn't be able to receive said surgery every month. idk if it's a yearly thing he has to do now, or if one at all, but he is exempt from the monthly surgery thing.
