A/N: tysm to fae (@/jangwonie) for inspiring the plot!! ily fae <33 also yes, chaeryeong is in my writing again, i just love her <3 (and btw, the words in italics are supposed to be a memory!!)

You sighed as you watched him from across the cafeteria. He was joking around with his friends, his signature smirk on his face. You let out a smile as you catch him laughing.

"Instead of staring, you should just confess to Park Jongseong already."

Park Jongseong, also known as Jay, was a guy at your school.

Well, he was much more than "just a guy", in your opinion. He was the guy known for his reputation as the "bad boy". There were rumors that he liked to smoke and drink until he passed out, and that he was never absent from a party. Of course, you hadn't really seen any of that yourself. The only times you saw him were in the cafeteria, in the hallways, and in English class.

However, you gained a lot of information about Jongseong through watching him. You saw the way he would help kids pick up their dropped papers in the hallways (although, more often than not, said kids would run away after seeing who he was). You saw how Jongseong would make sure all his friends were included in the conversation. And you saw how he was kind to everyone, even if they weren't so kind to him.

So although that kind of interaction (if you could even call it that) was all you ever had with Park Jongseong, it was enough to make you fall for him over time.

"I'm not sure," you sigh, tearing your eyes away from your crush and towards your best friend. "There's no way he'd like me back."

"How can you be so sure?" Chaeryeong asks you.

"I've never even talked to him," you reply.

"That doesn't mean he won't like you!" Sunoo pipes up from next to you. "You said it yourself, you've never talked to him, and yet you're completely in love with him."

"Sunoo!" you whine, giving him a small slap on his arm.

"Sunoo's right, though," Chaeryeong says. "What if he likes you back?"

You let out another sigh. Although you wished your friends' words were true, it seemed hopeless. You couldn't look away from him in class, yet you had never caught him looking back at you.

"I'm just saying, Y/n," Chaeryeong says, leaning closer to you, "it wouldn't hurt to tell him instead of pining for him every day. The worst thing that can happen is him rejecting you."

You nod in agreement, laying your head down on the table.

"Well, she could get laughed at and ridiculed," Sunoo remarks, shrugging.

Chaeryeong proceeded to throw her french fry at him.

The only thing that could be heard in your last period English class was the sound of the clock ticking. The teacher had given the class time to read in silence, which basically meant that they were too tired to teach.

You felt nervous as you watched the clock. After the class was over, you would go up to Jongseong and tell him how you felt with a letter you had written (with the help of Chaeryeong and Sunoo, of course). It took much convincing from your friends, but you were finally ready to tell him.

"I don't know!" you said, laying down your head on your desk.

"What about telling him he smells like daisies or something," Chaeryeong says as she hovered over you.

"That implies that she was smelling him," Sunoo says, scrunching his nose from his position on your bed, "and we all know Park Jongseong does not smell like daisies."

"Well do you want her to tell him he smells like cigarettes then?" Chaeryeong replies back, turning to look at Sunoo.

"Or maybe just don't tell him what he smells like at all?" Sunoo retorts back.

"Okay let's just skip over the smell part!" you say, finally sitting up and staring at the blank paper on your desk.

"Just tell him how you feel!" Chaeryeong says, patting your back.

"That's so vague, Chaer," you remark.

"Just tell him how you felt when you first met him! Or maybe what part of you fell for him!" Chaeryeong says excitedly.

"Just don't be creepy and talk about what he smells like," Sunoo comments as he flops down onto his back.

And so you wrote a letter telling him how you felt. You talked about how you felt when you saw him walk in late on the first day of school, and how you've thought he was cute since. You mentioned how he was pretty when he laughs, and how you wished he would laugh like that with you one day. And most importantly, you wrote about how you thought he was kind, much unlike what the rumors about him said.

Basically, you had poured out everything you had felt for Park Jongseong into that letter.

You sigh as you turn your attention back onto him. He was looking at his phone in his lap, the book, that everyone was supposed to be reading, left forgotten on his desk. He smiles as he texts someone, hands moving to reply back.

Wait.

What if he had a girlfriend?

You were freaking out now. You really hadn't planned this out. What if he was already dating someone? And what if he really was going to ridicule you to his friends? Your thoughts were flying everywhere, leaving you even more nervous than you were before, too nervous to hear the bell ring.

"Hey, the class is over," you hear from in front of you.

"Oh god," you say as you snap out of your thoughts, gathering your things and putting them inside your backpack. "Thank you so muc-"

Oh my god. Oh my god.

Standing in front of you was Park Jongseong, giving you his signature smirk.

You look around the classroom. There was no one around.

"Well, have a good day," Jongseong says after you two had been staring at each other for a good minute, turning around and leaving the room.

"Wait!" you say as you follow him out into the hallway.

You were really doing this. The fact that you and Jongseong just had your first (real) interaction, and it was initiated by him, left you with a sudden surge of confidence. You figured that it was now or never.

He turns around to look at you, his eyebrow raised. "What's up?" he asks. You notice the way he was playing with the ring on his right index finger, looking uncharacteristically nervous.

"I actually have something for you," you say as you reach for the letter in your backpack.

You hand him the letter, your hands shaking as you give it to him.

"I like you," you say. "I really like you, Park Jongseong."

You had finally confessed to him.

You hear the sound of your letter being opened, and the sudden wave of confidence you had was beginning to fade very quickly. "I'm sure this is pretty awkward for you, cause I'm feeling sort of awkward right now," you ramble, "and I'm sorry for springing this all on you so suddenly. I just wanted to tell you before the year ended and I've been watching you for a while now, but not in a creepy way or anything."

You feel your face get red at the lack of any sort of reaction from the boy in front of you. You couldn't even bring yourself to look up from the ground.

"It doesn't seem like you have anything to say, so I should probably get going," you mumble, feeling embarrassed after your rant.

You turn on your heels, basically sprinting towards the doors at the end of the hallway.

"Wait!" you hear as someone grabs your wrist, turning you around.

You would've expected Jongseong to say sorry and reject you, or maybe even laugh at you like Sunoo had said. However, you didn't expect him to be blushing.

Park Jongseong had just stopped you from leaving, and was now in front of you with his face as red as a tomato.

"I like you, too," he says, slightly stuttering. "I've liked you since the beginning of the year, after I saw you at your locker."

He tries to look up into your eyes, only to look away upon seeing you already looking at him. He would've normally prided himself on his calm composure no matter the situation, but one look from you was enough to make it falter.

"I tried not to make it obvious 'cause I didn't think you'd ever like me back," he says in a small voice.

"Why wouldn't I like you?" you ask. As far as you were concerned, you had been crushing on him for over half a year now.

"I just figured I wasn't exactly your type," he says with an awkward laugh, "you know, with my reputation."

"I don't care about your reputation," you say, "I know you're not actually as bad as people make you out to be."

He finally looks into your eyes, his face only getting redder. Unlike his usual appearance, his smirk wasn't present on his face. Instead, a genuine smile graced his face, one that you would soon realize is reserved only for you.

"What if I am really that bad, though?" he asks. "What if I do smoke and drink and party?"

"That's okay. I like you for you, Jongseong," you say, giving him a small smile.

His smile only grows bigger upon hearing your words, feeling like a fool for acting so out of character. But when it came to you, he really was just a lovesick fool.

"So, what does this mean?" you ask.

"It means we can start dating, if you want?" he says with a small laugh, his hand on your wrist moving down to intertwine your fingers with his. "Is this okay with you?"

You glance down at your hand now engulfed in his. You feel your face get hotter as you look back at the boy whose face is just as red as yours. It felt like the world had stopped just for the two of you.

"It's perfect."

SEMII, aku gak pinter bikin surat cinta soalnya aku tidak pintar berkata-kata. Tapi aku akan coba demi SEMI. Makasih banyak yaaa, udah bikin rumah yang nyaman buat Colones khususnya aku. Aku mau bilang makasih sama mantanku buat ini sih, soalnya karena dia aku jadi Yeji. Waktu itu aku sempet jadi anak ITZY yang lain, Chaeryeong, tapi ngerasa gak cocok, jadi aku balik ke chara lamaku Park Xiyeon. Tapi waktu itu aku bosen karena dia updatenya jarang, jadi aku minta saran pacarku (udah mantan) anak ITZY antara Ryujin atau Yeji, dan dia milih Yeji. Setelah aku makin kenal Yeji, ternyata cocok banget sama aku, dan aku jadi bucin banget sama Yeji sampe sekarang deh! Great things about her tuh... selain dia cantik dan berbakat, anaknya pekerja keras banget. Perjuangannya selama trainee tuh keren banget. Terus dia juga leader yang keren banget, baik banget juga. Anaknya juga clumsy banget lucu, walau sering dijailin membernya tapi dia sabar dan gak marah. UDAH ITU AJA, bisa jadi panjang ini mah.
