as someone who's been a fan of andi mack for sooooo many years & also someone who's been in the yellowjackets fandom for almost a year with jackieshauna as their ultimate otp of the show. no one will ever TRULY understand that buzz i got everytime jackie looked back at shauna because of the quote amber said that's forever ingrained into my brain, "if she turns to look back at you. that means she likes you, and not just as a friend" like that was my only hardcore solid evidence of jackie being in love with shauna before I saw on here and on online articles of producers and actors and writers and directors said/believe that jackie was in love with shauna and vice versa but they were idiots (affectionate) with too much pride and etc. so I'm basically my own predictor in my own weird way <3

tmnt 2003 headcanons: sleeping
Leo:
The room needs to be pitch black, dead silent and ice cold for him to fall asleep.
And he is a very light sleeper. I feel like he was always a bit like this but also trained himself to wake up quickly and easily when he hears something.
And he sleeps straight on his back like he is in a coffin.
And he sleeps with one pillow and it's the same, flat pillow he has been using for the last 10 years.
He won't go to sleep unless he knows everyone is home.
I think the difference between him and Donnie would be that Donnie doesn't let himself sleep but Leo actually can't sleep. I feel like he's naturally a bit of an insomniac but when he tries to sleep he kinda spirals in his own thoughts and stresses himself out.
But it's not always stress that keeps him up it'll be like the song Mikey was singing the same four lines of all day is now violently stuck in his head keeping him awake and he's thinking about how he is going to murder his brother in the morning.
Mikey:
Sleeps with a minimum of 5 pillows. One for spooning, two for his head, one for his feet and one to violently throw off the bed while half asleep at 3 am.
He can really sleep anywhere though. (And he will)
He talks in his sleep. He'll mutter a lot of non-sensical stuff and also he'll sometimes just straight up laugh in his sleep. And he rolls around a lot during the night.
I think Mikey has the wackiest dreams. His dreams are very vivid and if someone shows up in his dream he will go out of his way to tell them about their guest star appearance in his absolutely off the wall bonkers dream.
Also he is the one who has the most nightmares
He likes to sleep with a little bit of noise. He likes the tv playing or music playing while he's falling asleep and if it's dead silent he'll find it a little unsettling.
Same with lights, he likes to have a lava lamp or some sort of soft light on in the room.
I think he would go absolutely feral for one of those galaxy project lights.
Also he's totally a blanket hog.
Raph:
The second his head hits the pillow he is out.
He could be mid conversation and just pass out. But it's only ever when he knows he can. He's good at staying awake if he needs to keep watch but if he's relaxed he can fall asleep in like 30 seconds.
And he sprawls out when he sleeps. He will starfish.
Or be half hanging off the bed.
And he violently snores.
And talks a little bit in his sleep too but not as much as Mikey, just every once in a while.
His dreams are super mundane. He'll come back from an absolutely wild experience, fall asleep and then dream about like doing the dishes.
But every once in a while he'll get a bad stress dream. I could see it being something social related like humans finding out about them and freaking out, or his whole family being upset with him because of something he did.
I feel like Raph would like a bit of white noise when he sleeps, like a fan or something. He doesn't need it to fall asleep, but he likes it.
Like Leo, he is also a bit of a light sleeper, but he falls asleep again pretty quickly after he wakes up.
Donnie:
He's good at staying awake for long periods of time but once he's out, he's OUT.
Must be physically shaken to wake him up.
He is frequently sleep deprived so every once in a while he will crash and sleep for like 14 hours. Most nights he goes to bed way too late especially when he's working on something but usually when he's finished he'll have a recovery day.
Like I said with Leo, his issue is that he doesn't let himself sleep. He won't actually go to bed he will just suck back coffee and keep doing what he's doing. However, I could see him having similar issues as Leo after Good Genes or SAINW, where he overworks himself at night to avoid spiraling thoughts while he's trying to fall asleep.
I feel like he's bad for being like "Okay I'm going to stop working and actually go to bed" and then instead of sleeping he sits in the dark on his computer on the internet until 4 in the morning.
He curls up when he sleeps he never sleeps just flat on his back.
But he'll always wakes up in a weird position he'll be like upside town on his bed in what looks like a yoga position and be like "How did I get here?"

Daily Routine of a Straight-A Student (School Days)
Hi! This is my daily routine that I at least try to adhere to. Please feel free to adjust it according to your circumstances. This routine really got me through my (stressful) days at an extremely academically rigorous school. hope it helps :)
first off, this is my overall schedule.
5:50 - get up
6:40 - leave for school
7:40 - arrive at school
4:00 - class ends & extracurriculars
6:00 - study session starts
10:00 - study session ends, head home
11:30 - sleep
Morning ~ Before Class
Wake up early. I used to be one of those night owls, staying up all night trying to study. But at some point, I realized that I could not focus as half as much. As my school is pretty far away(I need to take the school bus for an hour), I like to wake up around 5:50. As soon as you wake up, move your body a bit. I like to stretch out on my yoga mat but do whatever makes you the most energized. This does not have to be strenuous, a good three minutes will do to wake you up.
Prepare yourself for the day. It is important that you feel motivated at the start of your day. I usually shower at night, so I just wash my face and have breakfast. Never skip meals! You need those foods to concentrate in class. An apple or a banana will do if you're not very hungry in the morning. If you like dressing up, do that! My school has uniforms so I put them on, sometimes wear makeup, put on my favorite pair of Mary Jane, tie my hair up, and we're good to go. Check the bag that you already packed last night, grab your headphones and your phone, and leave your house. I leave at 6:40 to catch my bus.
Commute. I ride the school bus at about 6:50, and it's a fifty minutes ride. So I usually try to sleep to save myself from sleep deprivation or read a book with my headphones on. I'm currently reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt and it's really fun!
Daytime - Lectures
Before class. When you get to the school, (for me it's about 7:40) sit down, take your planner out, and plan out your day. Don't spend too much time on planning, 5-10 minutes will be enough. I use a bullet journal type, but anything that helps you plan works! Organize yourself for the day. Lay out all your needed supplies; notebooks, pens, textbooks, files, etc. Have a bottle of water with you just in case! Once you're done with these, preview your textbook for your next period. Skim through the passage and circle keywords or key phrases with a pencil. When I'm done with all these it's about 8:10 and I spend the next 20 minutes chatting with my friends since the first period starts at 8:30.
During Class. CONCENTRATE!!! I think the top students always concentrate in the class since it's not going to be able to rewind later. Pay attention as if it's your last time. If you have a choice, sit in the front row. Be present and try to participate in class discussions, answer questions, and ask questions. Do NOT be afraid of asking questions about something you don't know! The smartest students in my school always ask excessive amounts of questions, almost as if they are stalking the teacher. Take notes but never let that be your priority. Make your notes legible, but aesthetics honestly does not matter that much.
Between Classes. If you have a question to ask the teacher, go ahead and do that. Re-read the material and your notes. Try to remember what the teacher said. I'm a verbal/auditory learner, so I try to summarise the concept in my own words. This can take longer on your first shot, but after practice, it should take about 5-7 minutes. After reviewing, preview for your next period. Repeat this!
After School - Extracurriculars
4:00 - 5:20
Participate in extracurriculars! It's beneficial for your portfolio and also is stress relieving. Join clubs. I'm in the school newspaper and Model UN, but you can join more fun activities like cheerleading, soccer, orchestra, and band. Be active and try to put 100% in your extracurriculars, but most importantly, have fun! I also take extra credit classes in maths and advanced English but I'm thinking of dropping it since it's too much work.
After extracurricular activities, I head to the cafeteria with friends and have dinner. My school has a mandatory self-study session from 6 to 10, so we have both lunch and dinner in school! It's a shame that the school food is- not the best.
Nighttime Self-Study Session
Review. If you study what you've learned daily, you won't have to worry about not remembering anything later. Review every single subject you've learned about today. It doesn't have to be a grand 'study,' just re-organize your notes and try to remember key concepts without looking at them. This should take about an hour and a half, more or less, depending on the subjects. (6:00-7:30)
Study your weak subjects. Now, I've seen many students making the mistake of only focusing on what they already do well. But in order to improve, you must study the subjects that always pull your GPA down, that one subject that annoys you. For me, that's maths, so I solve math problems for about an hour and a half. Make sure to invest in your weakness, since it is better to have straight As than many A*s and one D. (7:40-9:00)
Study one additional subject of your choice. Since you want to balance out your studies, place one subject per weekday, and study that for an hour. For example, I go with: Monday-Korean, Tuesday-Science, Wednesday- English, Thursday - German, and Friday - Sociology. Of course, if you feel a need to study German twice, do that! Just remember to keep balance :) (9:00-10:00)
Home
After another hour of the school bus ride(which I usually spend taking with my friends), I come home around 10:50. At this point of the day, I'm usually worn out and need to rest. I take a nice warm shower, scroll through my phone answering messages and emails, do a quick yoga routine, and tuck myself in at 11:30 pm. I used to study until 12:30am, but I became so sleep deprived so I started to sleep earlier, and I can't be happier with my decision.
Final regards
Thank you for reading this amazingly long routine of mine, I hope the best for all of you, and have a wonderful day! Leave questions or feedback anytime :)

An Example of Standing Up For Your Medical Rights
Ok, when my gallbladder was removed in late August, I had a few unfortunate bad things happen. Like the whole liver leaking bile thing that left me full of it and also sepsis. Anyway.
Another one of those side effects is that I puke all the time now. Or did before I was given better meds for nausea. It's been 3 months and I still frequently can't eat without getting really sick. And well, I'll be puking up whole chunks of food 2-4 hours after I ate, that prove my mother is right and I don't fucking chew my food. Which should not be possible 2+ hours after you ate the meal.
So yes, I needed to see a GI specialist. And they very specifically need to run a gastro emptying test on me. A simple endoscope on an empty stomach isn't going to prove I'm losing my ability to empty my stomach. Or that it's at least slowed significantly. At this point I know more than your average layman about the GI system, ways it can fuck up, and different things they can do with cameras to look at it.
So I got a referral from my surgeon for a GI specialist. I went to that appointment and filled him in on everything. He started to blame my psych meds that I've been on for many many years, but went ahead and scheduled me for the emptying test. At least that's what I was told.
The appointment was at the hospital this morning at 10:30. There was some confusion at the check in desk as to what I was scheduled for but the nurse there waiting on me assured me we'd sort it in the back while I get ready for the procedure.
She takes me back and starts to ask what I think I'm there for. I tell her what I know I'm there for and she corrects me that I'm only scheduled for an endoscope. I made it very clear that I had been lied to, and that I was not going to get the scope and get up and walk right on out the door.
I grabbed my mom from the waiting room with quick eye contact and a motion to follow me as I headed for the elevator because I had the GI doctor on my heels and was not slowing down just yet. Mom caught up with me already knowing what was up and I confirmed it, and then we left.
And at first I assumed both my mom and my best friend would be upset I refused this test. I mean maybe they would call it a "starting point".
The thing is, we lived through 4 years of specialists and doctors blowing me off, not listening to my requests for tests, and generally ignoring my concerns that something was very wrong and gaslighting me that I was just fine. Those of you who know me at this point know I was seeing a hematologist oncologist for years who refused to test me for the cancer that almost killed me this past March. Apparently some people just don't make their own blood and there couldn't possibly be an actual tumor attached to, say, my small intestine, about the size of a golf ball.
Anyway, it's really hard to just stand up and walk out of something as major as a hospital test appointment. But I was the right combination of sleep deprived and hangry so it was actually really easy. And I just strongly suggest that you get angry enough about shit like this that you too find the means to get up and walk the fuck out. There is NOTHING you can't get up and walk the fuck out on. Shit. I wasn't even undressed yet. Hadn't even peed in the cup, which I was also super pissed about, but would have done for a proper gastro emptying test.
You can ALWAYS just get up and walk out if you're being denied the care you need.

I'm sure you've received this question a hundred times but do you have some tips for training a deaf puppy? Thank you and sorry to bother you
OK YEAH SO definitely don’t consider training to be an area of expertise but Goose turned out decent so here are some things:
first thing: make sure you’re prioritizing just like, approaching it as A Puppy, and puppies are hard as a baseline. find a class to join for basics if your dog does well in a class setting (my area had a free puppy class option that worked great for Goose, look into it, but I DO think this is something worth spending money on if you have to). then my most recommended puppy literature is: Social, Civil, and Savvy: Training & Socializing Puppies to Become the Best Possible Dogs. it’s almost impossible for me to pay attention to nonfiction books and a lot of dog training books are really crunchy technical, but this book is super short, lots of pictures, big text, straightforward. I had an easy time absorbing it and the stuff works. awesome awesome training guide. also a good podcast is Drinking From the Toilet, which has had specific puppy and deaf training eps
AND BLANKET STATEMENT: socializing is just in general the most important thing for a puppy. like exposing them to new things. expose them to all types of people, all types of animals, all types of situations, all types of floors rooms buildings grass discomforts yadda yadda yadda this is JUST as important for a deaf puppy. blanket ass statement.
NOW FOR SOME DEAF DOG SPECIFIC STUFF
general stuff before I share personal observations: resources I turned to the most were probably Deaf Dogs Rock (awesome equipment recs, so many anecdotes from owners w/ specific advice) and Keller’s Cause (neat little training videos)
ok now personal experience
in the context of training it was helpful for me to think of deafness more as just another attribute as opposed to a disability. like how being a mini aussie makes her creepy-smart, being deaf makes her: not hear (obviously), highly observant, potentially more confident in situations that might intimidate hearing dogs, easily startled, dependent on passive training as opposed to command training. basically it’s not a hurdle. it forces you to be creative and work within her attributes. just like with literally any other dog.
obviously you will use signing. I don’t use ASL, I come up with whatever is intuitive for Goose and me. early training feels like you need 3 hands cuz you’re giving treats, you’re signaling “good job,” you’re signing commands, you’re maybe holding a leash, it’s a lot. so my signs had to be with 1 hand, they had to be intuitive, they had to be distinct from one another to avoid confusion. a few examples: SIT is a closed fist (I feel like most people already do this with their dogs); TOUCH is two fingers offered; LAY DOWN is those two fingers being lowered to the floor; SPEAK is a hand being opened rapidly. I have more but you get the picture. I actually have a notebook where I’d doodle commands as I went cuz I was literally just flying by the seat of my pants lmao
passive training has been clutch. this is kennel training, car training, leash training, basically establishing her life routine (idk if it’s actually called passive training??? i’m sure it all falls under “”””socializing”””” but that’s such a huge umbrella). these areas can be difficult to settle into but they really are essential. I don’t have car advice cuz my dogs drive w/ me to work every day and are fine so IDK WHOOPS but:
leash training: with goose being deaf it was weird because the trainer I worked with was heavily reliant on voice commands. so I put a LOT of time into the loose-leash game, which is walking on a leash in the house, and every few steps, you give the dog a treat AT YOUR SIDE. like hold your hand right by your leg. basically the idea is to teach your dog it’s cool and fun to stay by your side and check in with you every now and then. Goose still pulls on her leash but in a manageable way, and she knows to check back with me. also definitely rec a halter. this one’s my favorite.
kennel/sleep training (gonna spend a lot of time on this one cuz it was/is the worst thing about Goose): listen. this one will be hard. this one’s gonna suck. you will be SO tempted to just let them in your bed but you really, REALLY should not. letting them in the bed can foster separation anxiety especially with a deaf dog who’s probably gonna become your shadow. kennels instill confidence by giving a dog their own space, and if ever there’s an emergency when they need to go in the kennel, it’ll help them feel safe. like there’s so many reasons to kennel train. you gotta do it.
so...as a baby, Goose like almost killed me with sleep deprivation. we initially didn’t think we’d keep her (haha hubris) so she slept out of the bedroom. And Screamed. the ultimate solution was bringing her kennel in the bedroom next to Joanie’s kennel, and we’re pretty sure the reason that solved it is because she could wake up and SEE that there was another dog there. now she loves her kennel. shoots in there every night demanding her pb kong. BUT YEAH LISTEN if you DON’T HAVE some comforting visual/kinetic reassurance there, this could be a problem for a deaf puppy. AND. AND. the problem hasn’t gone away completely. Goose wakes us up at 5:30 am every single morning and probably will for the rest of her life because THAT is her routine and she is immune to our angry tired yelling. the simple act of us going to her kennel reinforces the behavior. we’re not jerks about it cuz we love her and understand how dog brains work. This Could Happen To You. Heads Up.
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS: big sister dog like Joanie, worked for us; a floor fan creating vibrations, seemed to help her as a very young kiddo; being at least IN VIEW of you sleeping, like having the kennel riiiiight next to the bed, even within arm’s reach so you can reassure the puppy you’re still there. just...both in personal experience and in my research, I saw it a lot that sleeping is a big issue. cuz they can’t hear you, it’s dark, they don’t know if you’re still there, and committing to STILL attempting kennel training is the harder thing to do, but I really, really encourage you to try.
WOW. ok. fuck off I typed way more than I meant to. wanna hear some funny stuff?
Goose follows us around everywhere. she simply must know what’s goin on. we have beds stationed at every visual corner of the house, like sentry posts, so whatever room we’re in there’s a comfy place for her to sit where she can see us and she takes advantage of it. like she could be sleeping in one room and I’ll get up to brush my teeth, suddenly look down and she’s just teleported already asleep in the nearest bed to me.
sometimes Goose knocks on the door to come inside, and I’ll go to the door to let her in, and at literally the nanosecond before I open the door she dog-shrugs and turns and trots away and there’s nothing I can do. can’t call out to her. I’m bamboozled.
she is so fucking loud. I remember when she was a baby and my sis in law was like “wow so I bet she’s quieter than normal dogs huh” and I laughed like no actually she sounds like a rubber chicken going for that 4 chair turn on the voice, at ALL times.
sometimes I’ll do the speak command and she’ll do this huge windup, like big breath, eyes wide, and then release what is essentially a very little hiccup. but i still have to give her the treat. she doesn’t know the difference, not really.
always delighted to be woken up by you, wiggles her feet and starts licking her lips and looking up at you like “!!!! hello!!! omg!!! wow!!! a delight!!!”
doesn’t know the cats don’t like her. will trot up to Frisk and give what is in her mind a very polite little kiss on her nose before trotting away, oblivious to the offended growl she’s just elicited.
MUST BE PET. HOW ELSE WILL SHE KNOW SHE IS LOVED. MUST BE PET AT ALL TIMES NOW EVERYWHERE PLEASE.
...
realizing i could write a book about how much i love this deaf fucker
