all my wigs (in theory. i will definitely at least aim for most)

here we fucking go! this is going to be a god damn wild ride so be prepared please

ALRIGHT. let's start off part one with some of the mapofbeauty wigs.

so. this one. it may not look great. but it's several years old. it spent at least two of those on the floor/shoved in a bag/etc. i did not learn to care for wigs until really really recently, and i didn't try very hard to brush it before i took this photo. it was in buns before this! this fucker is a survivor. also it's really fucking thick?? it was $10 at most. probably $5. like 9/10, the only reason it isn't higher is that it's getting kind of itchy because of the frizz

ancient. was probably the first wig i bought with the intention of cosplay. i have 100% given up on even trying to brush it at this point. i actually got a white replacement wig pretty recently. 8/10 because while it's holding up incredibly well, it was always really thin in the front, probably because it wasn't meant to have the style of bangs i've given it

i promise the bangs look like that for a reason. also it's genuinely messy on purpose, i swear. sal fisher wig! the bangs look too long when the wig is worn by itself, but over the mask, they're perfect. i cut them to line up with his canon ones! that's why there's the extra long pieces. 10/10. i love it so much. it's still not even two years old yet though so idk if that'll change. also, i don't think it's ever been brushed, but it has been put into pigtails before

another one of my oldest cosplay wigs. i didn't even dare take this one out of the storage braid. in my hand is the reason it's so thin. i brushed it one time and that happened. if you know how to fix it please help me

god do i wish i were joking when i say that this wig has almost definitely made me cry. it used to be my younger sibling's. it's several years old and has been cared for TERRIBLY. if you remember only one thing i say, please, let it be do not buy a long wig unless you actually need one and are prepared to deal with the pain of caring for it. anyway probably like 8/10 i guess? because it's honestly really good for a like $5 wig, there's multiple colors of hair and everything, it'f be soft if actually cared for, etc., but i'm too mad at it to give it any higher

veronica sawyer wig!!! has basically never been brushed because i'm not ready to deal with redoing the curls, but it's like. three? years old now. it's doing amazing. so. so fucking low maintenance. i've stored it in a bin of wigs pretty often and repeatedly loaned it to people who somehow ruined all the other wigs i've let them borrow just by wearing them once. it could probably pass for real hair, especially with a little bit of work. or just actual care. it looked absolutely gorgeous when it was new. 10/10. i can't find something i'm sure is the right link. it might be this and even if it's not i'm 90% sure i have that wig too and it's good

i HATE this wig. i actually fucking despise it. i have spent hours trying to detangle this thing. maybe even DAYS. i have been trying to fix it for Y E A R S and made almost no progress. miku cosplayers fucking terrify me, how do you keep that from turning into one gigantic fucking knot the second you breathe. HOW. are you fucking magic?? because i'm a witch and it's not doing shit to help me with this damn wig. if it could hate me i'm sure it would. this is also the SECOND one of these i've bought. the first one got so bad i literally had to throw it away. 4/10, because at least it was only $5. i am begging you do not buy this unless you either want to hate yourself more than you ever thought possible or are an expert at wig care

literally exactly the same wig (one of these is the base wig from the older one) but without the pigtails. like 8/10? it's so soft and could totally pass for real hair, but i don't like that it basically needs to have bangs cut, the back is pretty fucked up and needs help, and you can't just get it by itself, you need to buy the pigtails, too
