Okay besties, I’m gonna repost some of my old “Drew Starkey” fics but I’m going to make them “fanon Rafe Cameron” fics so I don’t feel weird. Lol thank you to all my loves on here for your suggestions and for supporting me in this endeavor 😜🖤 lol 

A lot of them will be ER Nurse Rafe. Here’s the first one. This is ER Nurse Rafe x ER Nurse Reader wayyy down the road when they’re “out” as a couple and living together.

You and Rafe spent a lot of time in the car together. You would carpool to work when you worked the same shift and most mornings you liked to listen to music, like really put on concerts for each other to wake up and get pumped for the hospital.

On the way home though, you usually ended up venting about the shift or opted for a podcast. For weeks, you and Rafe had been hooked on true crime podcasts: Crime Junkie, My Favorite Murder, Serial, Anatomy of a Murder …all of em. You guys also recently had a patient who survived a really violent sexual assault come through the ER. And Rafe had recently learned about some of the scary things that have happened to you in your life …like the type of things that happen to EVERY woman in the world. All of this led to tonight.

You were both headed out to a get-together at Estephany’s place and Rafe was looking for his wallet. You were getting inpatient and antsy because you HATED being late no matter where you were going, so you decided to meet him at the car. You head to the car and when you open the door the smell of the day old milkshakes you two had left in the cupholders hit your nostrils. The parking garage of your apartment complex was literally empty on the level you parked on. As you reached for the milkshakes, you noticed all the other food trash that had accumulated lately and you decided to clean it all up. Your hands were full and you ended up dropping your purse and keys on the ground next to the open car door as you scurried over to throw everything away. But the trashcan that was usually on this level wasn’t there.

“Fuck.” You groaned. And looked back at the car. There was literally no one around and you were getting rotting milkshake juice on your wrist so you B-lined for the stairs and ran down to the next level to throw everything away in the trashcan there. Taking a minute to wipe off your wrist and tie the laces of your boots. You walked back up the stairs to see Rafe’s back as he faced the car. He was completely frozen. 

“Hey, ready to go?” You asked casually, walking past him to the car. 

Rafe whipped around to grab your wrist and turn you to face him “Where the fuck were you?!” He shouted, grabbing your shoulders. You leaned back away from him completely dumbfounded at this extreme reaction. 

“I was just throwing away the trash we left in the car from earlier.” You explained, shrinking from him a little bit. 

“Why would you leave your purse and keys like that?! And leave the car door open?! Your phone was on the floor of the car! What the fuck y/n?!!” He continued going off. 

Rafe had NEVER spoken to you like this. He had never spoken to ANYONE like this that you knew of. 

“My hands were full! I just dropped it trying to throw everything away. Plus, we live in a super safe complex where we know everyone. There’s no one else parked on this level. I was only gone for like 2 seconds.” You listed off hurriedly,  “Like yeah, it probably wasn’t the smartest thing but it’s not that big of a deal, Rafe.” 

You paused, both of you looking at the other with tension filling the air between you “...AND before you start yelling again, you sir, need to watch your tone with me right now.” You added sternly at the end, folding your arms over your chest and giving him a lot of attitude as you furrowed your brow. 

Rafe let go of your shoulders and rubbed his temples, closing his eyes. “Fuck.” He walked away for a second before exhaling and turning back to you. 

“I’m sorry y/n. You scared the shit out of me right now. I just saw the door open like that and all your stuff here... and fuck... I just thought you had gotten ...kidnapped or something.” He mumbled the last part.

Your facial expression relaxed and after a beat, you went and wrapped your arms around Rafe’s waist and he tightly wrapped around your shoulders before he held your head against his chest. He kissed the top of your head. 

“I’m really sorry for talking to you like that, baby.” 

“It’s okay.” You said simply and genuinely before adding, “But it better not fucking happen again, Cameron.” You teased, but you both knew how serious you actually were too. “....Also, maybe we should lay off our true crime podcasts for a little while.” 

“Yeah, can we? I honestly have been scared about you getting kidnapped and chopped into little pieces for weeks.” He chuckled a little. Your heart broke a little bit as you realized something. 

“Is that why I’ve found you in the living room watching Friends in the middle of the night like 4 times last week when you said you couldn’t sleep?” 

“I just kept having nightmares about all this horrible shit happening to you. Especially after you told me all the times that cars have like slowed down or followed you while you’re running. And that time someone put something in your drink at a music festival.” Rafe said, getting all exasperated again. 

“And that’s why all of a sudden you started running with me even though you hate running?” You realized all the little things Rafe had been doing differently lately were all adding up to him being so worried about you. He just looked at you with concern and a little bit of embarrassment. 

“Ahh baby.” You cooed squeezing him tight and then pulling away and grabbing his face with your hands. 

“I’m so sorry, you’ve been so worried lately. I wish you would have told me. The world is definitely a scary place for young women and I can’t promise that nothing bad is ever gonna happen to me. But you can’t be with me every second of every day. I can take care of myself. I have for a really long time. And I can take precautions to stay safe. ...And yeah, leaving my purse and keys near our open car in an empty parking garage at night is not the way to do that. But babe no matter what precautions I take, I can’t control other people and whatever malicious intentions they might have. I promise I’ll be as careful as I can, but you need to realize that neither one of us can control it all and we need to let it go. I know that’s way easier said than done, but if you worry about me ALL THE TIME, it’s just gonna drive us both insane and be really toxic.” 

“I know.” He said quietly, looking down, “I just love you so god damn much y/n. I don’t know what I would do if something happened to you.” 

You were both quiet looking in the other’s eyes. You looked away and smirked.

“Well, at least you would be able to start listening to Johnny Cash again.” You teased, desperately trying to lighten the mood. You both knew how much you despised Johnny Cash songs. 

Rafe gave you an annoyed look for making light of the situation, but then broke into a smile, putting an arm around you as you walked to the car. “And for that, we’re listening to Ring of Fire on the way over to Estephany’s!” He said, playfully slapping your ass and smiling over at you, as you parted to go to your respective car doors.

“I will literally jump out of the car.” You stated.

…so i found another dead bird. At school this time. I dumped out my thread and put the birdie in my plastic bag, which then went into my backpack and went home. It’s just in my freezer rn, really didn’t know what to do with it, I don’t have time to pick it apart AND the feathers are in good condition so I’m gonna look into preserving those. Today was a good day for finding random cool dead stuff, a bird, a dead cricket, a snail shell, and snake skin (not dead but still cool). Hopefully the three plastic bags keep it from stinking up the fridge?? I don’t think my mother would forgive me if it did lol.

OH. Here i am talking about my dead stuff when i actually did something dangerous and exciting??? My mom dropped me off at the house then drove off, no big deal, right? The front door isn’t dead bolted during the day so me and my sister can get in after school. Except this time it was. Alright, fine, no big deal, i can go in through the garage. But of course it wasn’t working. My first reaction was to spam text my mom, but getting locked out is actually one of my Thoughts. So i was prepared. Every night before bed i check my (second story) window to make sure it’s unlocked, just in case. Fun fact about me, I’m a pretty good climber. Rocks, trees, buildings, if im not supposed to be up there thats exactly where im going.

I didn’t really want to do it because it’s kind of an intimidating climb, but because ive spent so much time thinking about it the panic had already set in so i was like. Lets fuckin do this. Hope i dont fall and break my neck.

When i was in middle school i was obsessed with getting up on the roof. So ive done it before but only from the ledge my window is on up to the main roof which is only like two feet. The part i was worried about was the transfer from the wall to ledge. Just. Reaching over with one leg and then shifting my weight and ugh. The worst part of any climb is when you have to move your arms without a good foothold, of which i had none. And i couldnt shift my weight without something to grab onto so you can see my struggle here. Also - shingles are hot. At the time i barely noticed but now the bottoms of my feet are burned ://///

Anyway i finally get onto the ledge, and that thing is STEEP. The side of the window that i was holding was honestly even worse than the holds on the climb up because it was a one handed type deal. With the other hand i was trying to get the window open which id somehow never considered how hard it would be to do from the outside. Dont worry i got it tho! Not all that far open but i just squeezed on in there. I was cussing the entire time like ‘holy fucking shit’ and i didnt stop until i was going downstairs. Then it was like ‘holy shit i just did that holy shit’. Got my stuff from outside, unlocked the door for my little sister, and texted my mom to let her know i got in. Like five seconds later the garage opened and my mom came in which was awkward. She went straight back to work.

I dunno if this is a particularly interesting story but holy fuck did it happen. Scary. Glad i get to tell someone because i cant mention a word of this to folks i know irl. Im just. Feels like im glitching whhoooooooooooo. Its dawned on me that this might make you worried, please dont let it, i dont think ill be doing this again anytime soon lmfao.

So! How has your week been???? Im gonna start reading wingfic again. The dead bird is a sign. Fr tho its such a nice bird like the other one was kinda gooey but this one is pretty dried out which is a desirable trait in a corpse. Feathers nice. See anything cool lately???????? Hello and welcome back! Once again I am here to appreciate the awesome writers in our fandom in the only way I know how, which is to scream about how much I loved the fics I read this month. So without further ado, here we go :)

The Case Of The (Definitely Not Haunted) Styles Mansion by BriaMaria/ @briannamarguerite I loved this fic so very much and it will definitely be the first of several Marcel fics on here because I did the best I could to read those as they were posted hehe But for real, this fic is mystery and intrigue and I was so surprised when we finally figured out whodunit! It was cute and funny and scary and I adored it.

Save the Last Dance for Me by 1Diamondinthesun/ @1diamondinthesun  This one was ALSO SO VERY GOOD because once again, just like the one before, it creates a world that sucks you right in and you just...well I loved it. The back stories, the narration, the feels! I definitely cried. It was epic and I loved ever minute.

Like a Timebomb Ticking in Your Head by Decorationxx (Mitzsie) I wanted an angsty A/B/O and this certainly delivered. It’s fairly open ended as well, so be prepared for that should you delve in, but it does resolve some of the biggest concerns in a way that I certainly desired more but still loved it. Gosh this fic was so painful and beautiful that I just couldn’t put it down.

But Please, Don’t Bite by shyserious/ @shyshyserious Okay what can I NOT say about this? This fic is a ride! Another A/B/O masterpiece, really, and the journey it takes through everything with relation to Harry was intense. It kept me on edge so much that I had to stay up until like 4 am to finish reading it so I could finally relax again hahaha It was one of those fics that definitely stays with you afterwards and I highly recommend it.

Waiting for Daylight by dinosaursmate/ @catfishau This is like a Best Of album but for fics. I was so curious how it could possibly all come together, but the way it does is so perfectly and lovely and I just adored it. Sigh. The journey we go on with Louis is so much fun, whether you’ve read the other fics he journeys to or not, so I suggest everyone give it a read and if it takes you to fics you’ve not explored yet, that’s a great opening to give them a read :)

Just Jump by Jaerie/ @jaerie This fic! So much emotion and growth and sexiness and cuteness is smashed into this. I love it so very much. It is also a fun twist on heats for A/B/O, so I really enjoyed that as well!

An Ever-Fixed Mark by anonymous This fic is amazing and not just because it was written for me, okay? It is SO MUCH FUN and has a side of pure sadness that definitely brings the tears, but also a bit of confusion and mystery and the way it all comes together is so lovely and perfect! A definite must read.

Anybody Have a Map? by 2tiedships2/ @2tiedships2 My IRL bestie decided one day to write an A/B/O fic and then a week later, this was sitting and ready to be shown to the world. I was impressed by the speed she wrote such a fic firstly, especially since she’d never written fic before, but then I read it and it was just SO funny and sweet and just everything I adore about A/B/O fics and I am so super glad she’s writing now. This is such a fun read and story.

Crave by dimpled_halo/ @dimpled-halo Holy goodness, this fic! Jacky had teased us the entire time she was writing it with snippets and it about killed me, but nothing prepared me for the full fic. I was ready for the smut and the steamy sexiness of it, but I was not prepared for the emotions and the journey the characters go on! It was so beautiful and the timing and pacing of it was just. Wow. Yeah. Incredible.

Running Through a Cloud of Steam by allwaswell16/ @allwaswell16 Anitra took on a sort of soulmates that body swap for the soulmate reveal aspect in this fic and omgosh it was absolute and total perfection. The nervous excitement leading up to it all, the surprise when it’s revealed, the fear of what the reaction of the other will be...it’s just so pure and lovely and I adored it.

Buried Like Treasure by anonymous MARCEL HAS NEVER BEEN SO DAMN SEXY! I’m so serious, you guys. This kinky royal Marcel meets thief Louis and it’s just. Wow. This is such a beautiful fic of exploration and discovery and the way it all culminates in the end was unexpected and so fun. It’s such a great read!

Between the Stars by dinosaursmate/ @catfishau Okay, so this fic is kinda cheating because really I read it back in January I think it was, but it wasn’t actually posted until this month hehe I just really love this fic because Harry so absolutely gets freaked out by magic and it’s such a big part of Louis’ life and how they meet in the first place and it’s just so beautiful so see them do what they can to work through that. And when you learn more near the end, I was cackling and giggling while also fanning myself. hahaha As per usual with KK, it’s another perfect mixture of sexy and hilarious.

Stars Will Align For Us by 2tiedships2/ @2tiedships2 The bestie kills it again! Another fabulous A/B/O that is super interesting and so much fun. I love the little things that she adds into her fics that add such depth to them, but in a casual way. In this one particularly I love how Harry is always so in control of his inner omega...until he isn’t. Such a fun dynamic in here and a super interesting take on the relationship between omegas and alphas.

just like he already owned it by anonymous OKAY LISTENNNNN!!! I am such a sucker for fake relationship fics and then they added in teacher!Louis and guidance counselor!Marcel and Lottie getting married and just EVERYTHING about this was so cute and funny and lovely and I adored it. Such a great read.

Talk That Talk by homosociallyyours/ @homosociallyyours OMG okay listen. hahaha Harry is just soooo awkwardly...NOT good at dirty talk, until suddenly he just...gets it? But getting to read it all from Louis’ POV and he is pining so hard for Harry and trying to be cool about it and it’s just such great comedic gold and in the end such a lovely read. I will always and forever love friends to lovers featuring silly, clueless boys in love. hehe

Something in the way by momentofclarity/ @gaycousinlarry Okay listen. I’ve been in love with Sandra Bullock since While You Were Sleeping and Hope Floats was one of her films I loved growing up. This is such a great adaptation and I adore that it was kept in the 90s! The development of everything and the pain felt by Louis as he tries to heal from being so betrayed by his wife and yet the absolute want he feels with Harry is just. Gah. This fic is FABULOUS.

the beauty of the blistering sky by anonymous GUYSSSSS I don’t know why, but I kind of love apocalypse fics. Especially when it seems like the worst has happened, and some have survived and have to figure out what to do now. This fic does such a great job of balancing the fact that they are truly trying to figure out how to survive in this world, but the danger hasn’t completely passed. It is so creepy and intense and lovely. I think it makes the fact that they have found each other even with the despair of everything surrounding them so beautiful and the end is filled with such hope. A wonderfully well rounded fic.

Enjoy the Ride by 2tiedships2/ @2tiedships2 Yes, she truly posted three fics in a single month. Amazing, right? And this one is just as good as the others! Just like I loved in her two previous fics, this fic once again plays a little bit with knowing when you’ve found your mate and the balance of A/B/O dynamics amidst all of it. Add in a road trip and my favorite amusement park and you truly can’t lose.

Episode #6: “Someone's About To Get Torn To Shreds” - Liam

Okay heyyyy so I'm back off reflection island. And I was SHOOK watching that tribal. Andreas blindsided?? For some reason?? Apparently it was Chelsea's idea but also apparently Chelsea and Jackson wanted to throw the challenge bc they wanted me on their tribe so that's cute! Immediately when I went back I rekindled my relatonships with Danielle and Jackson. I told Jackson about my idol piece, and he told me the location of another one in case i need it. so now I just needa get to Quillynn if I ever need an idol hehe. ANYWAY. I've been back for like?? Half an hour?? AND I ALREADY MADE A MAJORITY ALLIANCE WITH CHELSEA AND JACKSON I'm truly doing that. Plus I have good relations with Danielle, who is now on the outs bc she's the last mentor and was close to Andreas, and I'm not very close to Lauren but I know her so I don't think she'd murder or target me outright. OKAY I FEEL BETTER ABOUT THIS TRIBE. I got to relax and take a break on reflection, get another idol piece, and was automatically placed into a majority on the tribe I landed on. I truly did that. How iconic!

TEA TIMEEEEEE. 

 So after Andreas went home, I immediately went to Jackson and asked what happened. He said he panicked cause that was the only name he heard. Now Danielle is saying that that's false.... Hmmm. Someone's about to get torn to shreds this week.

ya my student is playing a LOT of angles in this game and he got the clue from danielle and found it the next day and he hasn't told me about it. i'm glad i've been telling him everything but i still have my few secrets

Hello! And welcome to one of those times that lily decides to write a confessional. In this edition I just wanna say this challenge sucks. I feel bad for the whole group here. Trivia sucks. Double tribals sucks. But we will power through! I'm headed to Indianapolis as we speak. So far I've seen some corn and had McDonald's #ilykai . My beautiful light pink wig is sitting beside me as it bears this trip with me. So I'm in this dope alliance chat with QuilLynn, willow, Lauren, and Christine. We are called the rice girls because we formed during the rice challenge. (Did I already talk about this? Maybe yes I did oh well I've already typed it) moving on, we all had a great discussion about the last tribal. I was freaking out because I thought Lauren might be in trouble. She wasn't....but hopefully t gained me trust within the group that I really care about them. I think it was also a warning to Lauren that I really did hear these things. Chelsea told me everyone was mad at Lauren about the challenge. And Jackson told me that he thinks Lauren has an idol piece. Lauren told me she doesn't. Which is honestly fine I wouldn't expect anyone to share that kind of info unless if they really needed to. And she really might not have it. There are a lot of things out there with everyone lying about having one or not. I really love talking to Jackson! He is great with conversation loves Disney and has a lot of smart ideas as far as strategy goes. But I just can't tell if he really wants to work with me. I think he is a good person to have around but he could ended up hurting me in the end. Honestly I'm not sure. I just hope I can make it to merge and deal with it all then. That's okay....right? Yeah probably not but it's hard to predict what's gonna go on in this game. Too many twists sigh...of my tribe loses this challenge my guess is we would take Liam out but honestly who knows what could happen. I just know Liam doesn't want to work with me at all. He never messaged me back. Honestly kinda made me sad.... well Liam if you are reading this hi we can still be friends. You are probs really cool! I hope we get to know each other better.  

Well, I've tried as hard as I can to work my social game, now let's see if it pays off! Jack was my closest thing to a definite vote, but maybe if I can flip Willow and Gage to thinking that us mentors need to stick together soon, we'll have a fighting chance..

Hi I'm Jackson and this is my fourth confessional. This is my fourth time at tribal. I'm a little salty to be going (because I felt like I did pretty good in that jeopardy challenge, it just so happened to be the one week where it was a double tribal), but the voting is going to be pretty straightforward, I think. Lauren should be going home. She's not a very active player but she makes me nervous. She has ORG experience, so I don't want to underestimate her. Danielle is on board (she's probably pretty nervous tonight tbh considering how many mentors go home. If she wasn't currently at a convention IRL, I'd feel a little safer, as she could throw Liam under the bus and hopefully get Willow and Gage on board to vote him. But the mentors are probably feeling a little nervous about how many of their kind have been voted out. The (albeit false) prospect of a Newbies Alliance might push them to vote out the only newbie on their tribe right now. If only Lily would respond to my messages. As for idol pieces, things aren't great. Colin found another on Reflection (which rocks), so with Chelsea's piece, we should have three in total. But she gave hers to Quillynn without telling me! Which was pretty stupid. Because there's no guarantee Quillynn will give it back and Chelsea is too nervous to ask. I went hunting for that 5-digit code (which I found after two hours), but someone had already gotten it. I'm thinking it was probably Lily, which is irritating, because she's probably about to get voted out. Which is why I want to talk to her!! Ugh!! Okay, I need to get going. Let's hope there's a merge after this I guess? I'm tired of this tribe setup. Byeeee

Okay ugh back to tribal. I got a couple rounds off but now it's back to the game. A five person tribe going to tribal is already scary enough, but there's been more than enough rounds for a couple idols to be made so that's also incredibly scary. I have a majority alliance with Chelsea and Jackson but I'm trying to keep my communication super open with Danielle so that she trusts me and doesn't try anything funny. I have like no working game relationship with Lauren so I want her gone. Jackson and Chelsea want Lauren out too? perfect! She gon' be gone! I gave Chelsea and Jackson permission to use me as a decoy name to give to Lauren which could backfire, but I need to show that I trust them and it makes sense since I was on reflection island last round. They both know I have two idol pieces but hopefully with how open I'm being with them they won't try to take me out because of it. The only thing that could backfire is once they bring my name up to Lauren if she makes a good enough case to actually convince them to vote me out, even though that seems pretty unlikely. I'm not doing much in this game. I'm playing strictly socially and not strategically. Also I'm ruining my record and I should be getting a vote put on me tonight, the first one all season, even if this is like my 4th or 5th tribal. Iconic! But yeah, Lauren is probably going. That's that on that! Hopefully she doesn't play anything! Also hopefully merge is after this double tribal! 

hello hi sup so basically i've been doing nothing in this game mainly because i found my ride or dies: quillynn, lauren, colin and trixie. i have danielle, my lovely mentor and her bff ryan on my side too so im not all that worried for the future. with this win in jeopardy i think i just secured my spot on merge which is really hype but who knows?? anything can happen really! i love danielle and im so grateful for everything she has done for me and i hope we get to work together at merge! i dont think i'd be able to win this game bc i have literally done nothing at all so i guess we will see what happens!

So jeopardy was fun! Me and Ryan killed it and are avoiding tribal which means I'll at least get to tie my Sri Lanka placement! On the other side of things, I got closer to Ryan and told him about my idol piece since it's obvious one of us were gonna get one this round. He also let me know about the ones people might've gotten...one of them including my dear student Lauren. I can't really complain cause I haven't told her about mine but it's good to know. If she survives this maybe her, me, Ryan and Jackson can work together. Recently I've been kinda scared cause the mentors keep leaving so hopefully the double doesn't continue that pattern.

Lmao so since Jack got sent to Reflection Island we only have a 4 person tribe now, and I thought 5 person tribes weren't fun but oh boy 4 person tribes are even worse. So of course I'm forced to do jeopardy since Lily is on vacation, and Liam is working all the time. And just in general I'm a flop at jeopardy so fun times, and I got Gage negative points in jeopardy oops. Anyway Liam thinks I'm with him and hes offering me a place in the majority alliance or whatever bc they need more mentors. Like yeah he has a point that its been a mentor going home besides the first vote but I don't think theres an all student alliance I just think its been a coincidence or whatever. Also the idea of there having been a majority alliance since like the 2nd round is really dumb like they're just gonna self destruct and I'm gonna sit watching with my popcorn ready. So it should be Liam going home tonight unless they're trying to pull a blindside but I'm fine with him leaving tbh bc hes kinda inactive and really power hungry. Also I'm really really hoping for a merge soon since its a double tribal.
