Do you think Veigar has a lovely fluffy face under that cloak of darkness or something? I've seen a couple of Yordles in arcane and wow they look you can tell they're old, I seem to recall Veigar wasn't that particularly young.

You're absolutely correct on that last part, dear anon! Veigar is approximately as old as dirt. Basic math puts his age around 1,500 years old! That's older than the founding of both Noxus and Demacia. I think, other than Gnar and Fizz, he's the oldest yordle in the cast. Heimerdinger, meanwhile, is sitting pretty at 300 despite acting particularly geriatric, lol.

As for Veigar's face. . . we have his Omega Squad skin, which was where every fanartist got the "young handsome catboy" look from, but I've never particularly liked that skin very much as a faceclaim for current canon Veigar.

I imagine Veigar's canon face as heavily scarred from his torture under Mordekaiser. His black fur is often interrupted by pale splotches of skin, so heavily injured long ago that the fur still hasn't grown back. This is terrifying- yordles are supposed to be almost indestructible, so the fact that the Iron Revenant left visible marks is a testament to the sheer cruelty he endured.

I think there's a reason that Veigar hides his face in shadow. Any yordle seeing his true face would actually be more terrified of the scars than the shadow he hides them behind, but he doesn't wear those scars proudly. The last thing he wants is to have his image dictated by what Mordekaiser did to him. The other yordles- and everyone else on Runeterra- will learn to fear the shadowy visage in time.
