A little bday gift for @perianfrost from me and @akumastrife 😘💖💕
It was just supposed to be a silly doodle, but it turned into an AU. Princess and the Frog-esque except it’s Cowboy and the Horse. Cas is cursed to be a horse and only a kiss can turn him back. He spends so much time trying to signal to Dean that he’s not actually a horse and that he needs a kiss, but Dean doesn’t get it so he takes it into his own hands … hooves? lmao
This causes a lot of problems bc now how are they supposed to go anywhere w no horse and no clothes for Cas. This AU has the potential for assless chaps either for comedic purposes or otherwise. Also Cas has been a horse for A WHILE, so sometimes he forgets he’s human again and you’ll see him w a mouthful of hay or something.

“And he dropped it? Just like that?”
You sighed. “He knows I need my space sometimes. That’s one of the things I love most about him.”
“Well, you’ve got to talk to him about it eventually. You can’t let it hang over you like that.”
You absentmindedly touched your necklace. “I know. It’s just hard.”
“I know,” your best friend smiled warmly. “And when the time is right, I’m sure he’ll understand.”
“Yeah,” you kept fiddling with your necklace, your mind elsewhere.
“Hey,” Santiago leaned forward in his chair, grinning, “today’s a big day, isn’t it? You two have anything fun planned? Ehh?” He waggled his eyebrows suggestively, making you laugh.
“Ha, ha. Cute. No, nothing like that.” You sat up straight, holding up your computer as you crossed your legs. “Misha has something planned, but he won’t tell me what it is. Says it’ll ‘ruin the surprise,’ or something like that.”
“Well, whatever it is, I know you’ll have fun.” Santiago smiled. “You’ve got yourself a good man, there. I actually like this one.”
You chuckled. “When are you coming up to visit again? You didn’t stay nearly long enough last time, and though I’m grateful for Skype, it’s not the same.”
Your best friend laughed. “You know how hard it is to travel with kids.I don’t think me and Jen could handle that.”
“By the way, how is Jenny? I feel like I haven’t talked to her in ages.” You shifted on your bed, propping your chin up in your hands.
“She’s good. A little tired, but then again we both are. Kids are no joke, the little diablos.”
As if on cue, there was a distant cry from another room. He sighed dramatically and slumped in his chair. “And that’s it for me. Jen is gonna kill me if she has to come all the way up here when I was just in the next room.”
You laughed softly. “Go, take care of your kiddos. Text me later, ok?”
“You got it. Love you, cariña.”
“Love you too, Santi,” you replied, blowing him a kiss before you disconnected.
You shut your laptop with a grin on your face. Talking to Santiago always made you feel better, no matter how bad a day you were having.
There was a knock at the door, causing you to jump slightly as Misha poked his head in.
You let out a breath and smiled. “Hey, what’s up?”
“Heard voices, thought I’d come up here and investigate.” He leaned against the doorway. “Who were you talking to?”
You moved your computer to the bedside table as Misha moved to sit next to you. “Just got off Skype with Santiago.”
The bed shifted as Misha sat down. “Yeah? How’s he doing?”
“About as well as can be with three-month-old twins,” you laughed. “It was nice, though. We’ve both been pretty busy, it was good to catch up.”
“I’m glad.” Misha squeezed your hand. “So, you almost ready to go?”
“Yeah, just a sec. Though,” you winked as you got up, “it would be nice to know what I was getting ready for.”
“My lips are sealed.” Misha fell back on the bed, closing his eyes. “It’s been ages since we’ve gone on a proper date, and I wanted to do something special. I’d hate to ruin the surprise.”
You threw on a coat and grabbed your gloves from the dresser. “Ok, I’m ready.” You smacked Misha in the leg, making him laugh. “Let’s go see what’s so special about this surprise date.”
“You’re serious? This is for us?”
Misha nodded as you stared on, completely awestruck.
Your boyfriend had rented a horse drawn carriage, filled with pillows and blankets and two steaming mugs of hot chocolate on the seat.
“Oh my God. This is amazing.” You let Misha help you on the carriage, careful not to spill the drinks as you sat down. He wrapped the two of you up in a blanket and tapped the coachman on the shoulder. The reins slapped and with a small jolt, you were off.
“How the hell- what,” you stammered, at a loss for words. “I can’t believe you pulled this off.”
“Told you it was special,” Misha smiled, kissing you. “I’m glad you like it.”
“Like it? Misha, this is amazing. I love it.” You took a sip of your hot chocolate, instantly warming you up.
You looked past the horses, bright lights in the distance catching your eye.
“Drive-through light show,” Misha answered your unspoken question. “Thought it’d be more romantic than going by car.”
“Much more romantic.” You kissed Misha firmly, resting your foreheads together. “I love you so much.”
“I love you too.” He kissed your forehead once before you rested your head against his shoulder, sighing deeply. “Happy anniversary, Y/N.”
