Hello! I'm that anon who once asked you about the lots you use in your gameplay and whether you built them all. I'm so impressed that you create most of them yourself! But ever since you replied to that question, I've been trying to envision a lot for one of my upcoming gameplays, but I'm struggling to fully see it in my mind, so I was wondering if you'd mind giving some tips on your process of building your lots. Building is my weakest skill in the game, but I want to give it a try!

hello again anon!! i'm very flattered u think it's impressive 🥺 i truly love creating spaces for these guys! i'll try my best to kinda go into my process but be warned.. like anything else i do it's pretty much just chaos/winging it dkjsdkj (it'd be much easier if i used floorplans or smth simple so i could be like, here do this! but alas...)

okay i'm prolly gonna ramble a lot here but i mostly base my builds off random visions/future scenes that pop into my head or straight up vibes.. which isn't very helpful ik but hopefully if i explain it'll make a bit more sense!

so with Oscar's house above i knew i wanted it to be BIG, but i didn't want it to feel like a mansion they couldn't afford so i added some other houses on the lot and just gave em the biggest plot! i also knew i wanted it to be symmetrical, but only from the outside cos i wanted it to feel slightly chaotic on the inside, also hence the random tower addition on the left and the sunroom on the right.. like it used to be a big grand symmetrical "mansion" (prolly at the time it was built) but over the years kinda ended up as a convoluted mess left to rot until someone rescued it (yay for Oscar's impulsivity 🤸‍♀️) AND IT NEEDED AN ATTIC!! u kno cos where else would Clementine live?? 👻

so really i had no inspo pics or house plan layouts to go off here, just a vibe and an idea, i started with a rough shape and worked out all the kinks from there, then added the other lots.. be prepared to hate your wip and start over tho cos ig it's all part of the fun!

here we have an actual wip to use as an example! so with this one i basically knew i wanted a wrap around style house around a "courtyard" but since mt. komo is shit and doesn't have any decent sized lots we'll have to go with an L-shaped design and a third floor ig 😩 i started with the ground floor and just pissed around with the others until i ended up with smth just right, like anything else i do, building is just ruminating on an idea until i'm like.. yeah that works sdkjskj.. also handy to place the bare minimum furniture items as u go to get a feel of how the space does or doesn't work so u can fix it n stuff!

also feel free to make shit look strange if it works, for example these window placements look weird as hell on the outside, but real life houses aren't always symmetrical or perfect on the outside and we spend most of our time on the inside where the windows make perfect sense so.. yeah! i'm big on views from the INSIDE of the house so i just make stuff work, also big fan of using ivy/wall decs n stuff to "fix" the way it might look on the outside if needs be too..

the school i made for Robin n' co. was entirely built around this pool (cos it's IMPORTANT) and the fact that it had to have a glass roof (it just HAD to ok idk why but we must kneel to the vision when it strikes 🧎‍♀️) i tried to make the rest of it make sense around it tho, like maybe it was added on afterward so the rest is a pretty standard shape with offices n shit near the entrances etc.. ALSO (wait i actually need to explain smth else before we get to this also BUT BEAR WITH ME!)

ask yourself some questions (if u want? or just dl a house idk dskjdk)

i treat building similarly to writing and that means asking yourself some questions.. like you might ask why a character is doing/saying something, what happened in the past to make them this way? what're they aiming for in the future to choose these paths etc etc.. WELL.. what's this building for, who is it for, who chose to live here, who got stuck here, why do they like it, why do they hate it, etc etc.

we either get stuck somewhere we hate and it doesn't suit us, or we're lucky enough to choose somewhere that we love, but why? Oscar's house is sprawling and chaotic because they kinda are, and it suits them! all the random cupboards leading nowhere and the quirky additions are just perfect for them, if they were real people looking for a real house they'd view it and LOVE it, but other characters definitely would NOT 😅 the wip is neat and practical cos the people who're gonna live there are! 👀 and the school (see we got to that ALSO eventually) has that huge "grand" courtyard at the front that's actually pretty useless because it's a shitty comprehensive school that wants to give the image that it's decent, but actually it's a bit shit and there's nothing going on in the back, nowhere for the kids to play outside and very limited resources/equipment for them either.. like everything is built the way it is for a reason, which is why i think i find it so impossible to use other ppls builds, cos they don't fit all these visions in my mind...

ok i'm gonna shut up now but i HOPE this rambling mess somewhat explains how i go about starting a build and why.. i'm not sure i can help with the vision part since your brain is your own but floorplan websites and things like pinterest or even just google images are great for giving you ideas if you're struggling!

Another year passes by and he still hasn’t uttered those three little words to you. You and Klitz have been friends ever since freshman year when you first came to the school, and being the new kid sucked with no one to talk to, you settled on just giving up. As all hope was lost, you felt a gentle tap on your shoulder. Looking back at the source, it was a cute but awkward-looking boy with this bowl haircut that his mom most likely did herself and those tiny little glasses that made him look more nerdy than ever. He flinches back as if you were the one who tapped him on the shoulder. He offers you a sheepish smile. His voice cracks a bit before speaking (that made you giggle). "Um, you must be the new student, well, obviously you are since the teacher literally just introduced you”. "Um, ok, that was a dumb question. "Anyways, I’m klitz,” he offered his hand for you to shake while smiling that damn smile, giving you butterflies.

That was how everything started. He introduced you to Matt and Eli (you had to admit you did not like Eli at the start with his crude comments on your body, which made Klitz want to throw hands with him).

But today was the day Klitz felt brave enough to confess to you (also from the constant harassment he gets from his friends to finally confess). He had everything planned out; he had texted you the night before to meet him in this beautiful park. Hopefully the green scenery would be romantic enough for you.

While Klitz was waiting for your arrival, he couldn't shake off that dreadful feeling of you not liking him back. In a way that he liked you, that is. He was ridden with overzealous anxieties about his confession, breaking your friendship apart. Too many what-if's and but's are running through his mind now, making him shake his head to get rid of the thoughts going through his head. As you showed up in the distance, his gaze averted to where you stood. There you were, in all of your glory, looking as breathtaking as ever. Kliz's vision started dissipating, but he drew in a slow, deep breath to keep his cool.   In the distance, you saw Klitz standing beside a park bench, detailed with wood and well-constructed metal. You could feel yourself getting nervous as well as he was ever since you got that text message from Klitz. The night before was still plaguing your mind with overthinking, wondering what could have been so important that he would have wanted to meet you at this really nice park all alone.   You walked towards him, your hands fidgeting slightly as your eyes scanned the park until they landed upon him.  "Hey, Klitzy!"  You cheerfully say this despite the nervous churn in your stomach. You might have been thinking that he had finally found out your feelings towards him, which is causing you a bit of panic, wondering what he might think of you.   "O-Oh! Hey, y/n, you actually came." Klitz seemed a bit surprised. "H-How are you doing?"  “ God, why can't I just talk right for once?" He thought to himself when he spoke nervously, facepalming internally.

You softly laughed at his nervousness, which was reassuring to know that he too was nervous.

"I'm doing great! "What about you?" You said it with a nervous but inviting smile on your face. Your cheeks made your eyes squint slightly whenever you smiled.   "I'm good; thank you for asking." His smile was uncertain, but a genuine one at least. His fingers tapped the side of his leg nervously while he looked at you, occasionally looking away.

"It's no problem," You two stood there for a bit until you broke the silence in the park. "So why did you want to meet up?" You asked curiously, hoping that it was something silly like a school project.   "Well, um, I-" Klitz's eyebrows tensed slightly, feeling nervous and unsure of his confession. He took in a deep breath, which made you seem a bit confused about what could have gotten him so jumbled up. His eyes were closed for a moment, opening as he exhaled.  "I-I know it's a little sudden, but I've always had feelings for you." You could feel your heartbeat quicken just as much as he was starting to when he said these few words.  "Ever since we became friends, well, actually ever since I first saw you," Klits let out a nervous laugh in between his speeches. "I've been afraid to say anything. I didn't want to ruin our friendship, but I don't want to be just friends. His face was a bit red as he stumbled over his words. A slight moment of silence was shared while you looked at him with curious, nervous, widened eyes as he confessed to you. "What I'm trying to say is that I like you, y/n."

You stared at him for a bit more as a smirk crept onto your face, starting out with a giggle then progressing into a humbling laugh.

"Wait, why are you laughing?" Klitz's face went from nervous to confused, feeling a bit defeated by your laughter at his confession. It took him a few days to even build up the courage to even invite you to the park in the first place. "What's so funny?" He was genuinely confused about why you would be laughing at him.   As your laughter died down, you looked up at Klitz, who wasn't laughing with you; he was looking at you quite hurt and upset with your reaction. "You're joking, right?" You questioned me with a raised eyebrow.   "I-" Klitz was looking at you with his mouth slightly open, letting his eyes flutter for a few blinks. "No, I was." He shook his head and sighed sharply before shaking his head. "You know what, never mind." Klitz turned on his heel to walk off before he could make a fool of himself any longer until you grabbed ahold of his wrist before he could storm off anywhere.

"N-No, Klitz Wait, I'm sorry." You holding onto his wrist sent a striking feeling through his spine, making his heart flutter ever more. He turned back to you slowly as the hope in his eyes returned when you stopped him from walking off.   "I didn't know if you were joking or not; I never get asked out genuinely." You held onto his wrist a bit longer before he turned back to you, letting go of it when you came face to face with him again. "I wouldn't have thought that someone would really have eyes for me." You muttered under your breath, seeming a bit sorrowful but pleased to know that the person you liked had genuine interest in you.   Klitz tilted his head slightly in a bit of confusion. You looked down and shrugged, seeing your body discourage your thoughts on his confession. "Not fit for societal standards."   It took him a moment to process what you meant until he had an 'aha' moment, noticing that you were commenting on your body. Klitz was a mess, to say the least. The effect you had on him should be a crime, the way his whole body broke into a cold sweat at the slight attention you so gracefully offered him. Klitz never viewed himself as a good-looking hell; he even considered himself ugly, but seeing you act this way baffles him. Who wouldn't want to be with you? You always found ways to light up a room with your presence alone, always finding ways to make him feel better about himself. It upsets him greatly to know you don't view yourself the way he sees you because you're anything but special. He could still recall the day he first laid eyes on you, as if Cupid flew in and shot an arrow through his beating heart.   "Y/N, you are beautiful; you don't have to worry about so-called'societal standards." His eyebrows tensed, looking concerned about your self-image. "Don't take me as someone who would think that about you." Klitz moved a bit closer to you, feeling compelled to hold onto your hand to comfort you and as a way to show how passionate he felt towards you.   "I'm just afraid that you would see me as I see myself." You muttered, looking off towards the plains of the park while the birds chirped a subtle song.

Klitz's nervousness never failed to return; he wanted to compliment and reassure you so desperately, so he held his breath, his shoulders tensing up as he gazed at your stunning complexion. "However you see yourself... I'm sure it's just you overthinking." Klitz quickly turned away with a reddened face. "If you could only see how you look in my eyes, you'd understand why I'd ever confess." His voice was ridden with nerves, making him stumble upon his words. "Come on, grow a pair; this isn't the time to be nervous." You couldn't tell, but he was slapping himself in the face inside his mind.

You suddenly felt a pair of lips collide against yours. The kiss was a bit clumsy but sweet, no less. You were shocked, to say the least, but that didn’t stop you from smiling at the kiss, and soon your eyes fluttered to a close. You rested your hand on his cheek and let out a blissful hum, still enraptured by the intimacy you both were sharing. But eventually u pull away feeling so many emotions at the same time, good emotions, though u look up at klitzy, who was now wearing the same expression as yours but slightly different, it looked worried as if he didn’t think u might’ve actually liked him back before u could utter anything out klitz starts spitting out apologizes like there is no end to them.

I-I’m so sorry I-knew this was a dumb idea a-and I shouldn’t have k-kissed u like that I-I’m really sorry. Before anymore pointless sorrys could come out of his trembling self, you tugged down the collar of his shirt, now facing you at eye level, as you gently placed your soft lips on his, making sure to put every single loving molecule that is in your body through that damn kiss. As you slowly separated from each other, you look up at him.

Nothing but admiration was behind those small dorky glasses he never grew out of; no words were exchanged between you, just loving glances as you lean onto him, touching temples. You whisper back to him those sweet three little words Kiltzy was aching to hear.

He finally grew some balls and said those three words 👍🤓

Like I think they rely on telepathy or vibes too much, neither of them are mind readers... so much of their conflict these past two chapters could have been resolved if they just sat down and talked calmly about things for an hour or so!!! 💀BUT stop it right now Butterfly is one of my favorite BTS songs, so so gorgeous on the piano, and I could imagine a very similar melody that Yoongi would write for MC being something like that too. 🦋

HNNNNGGGFF Yoongi all sweaty on the court without his shirt.... damp long hair....teasing MC the whole way UGH I just know that I'd be drooling! 🥵And with that vision WHEW I'm so happy I could incorporate that into MC's character finally, I will say that this is something that will begin to happen more frequently for MC-- ever since she has been diving more into her spirituality and practices, her psychic abilities have been getting stronger.

The kiss. THE KISS!!! I'VE BEEN DYING TO WRITE SOME ROMANCE FOREVER NOW MY GOODNESS IT TOOK 13 CHAPTERS!! I just feel like Yoongi is such a 0 to 100 kind of guy when it comes to kisses, sweet and tender to begin with, then BAM super passionate and intense. I really really loved writing that scene, I'd say that Yoongi was truly desperate and yearning for MC for so long that he couldn't help but beg for more hnnnnngggg. But now they have to tip toe around for a little bit until they figure out how to tell the others, which turns into MORE yearning and AH I wanna chew on my drywall!!!! 👹

djkafdakfdask I'm excited to continue off where we left off! You know I always gotta leave you all on a cliffhanger. I wonder how MC is going to dodge Hoseok's questioning, and we don't know if he heard those two making out (he shouldn't have been able to, the music room is soundproofed...) or was perceptive to how weird MC and Yoongi were being with each other. I also feel like if Hoseok heard them, some of the others would as well, and I can think of a few (Namjoon, Tae, Seokjin for ex.) that would probably bust down that door!!! But also your theory of Hoseok possibly catching their kiss in the hallway is something that could have happened eeeee. Also I love teasing Hoseok as well he raises my blood pressure... poor MC can't even hide her heartrate from them!

UGH Jinnie's birthday he's such a sweet darling, I love that he was able to go out somewhere yummy to eat and spend time with everyone. I also really love when he feeds MC... it's so hot to me idk why like yes PLS grab my face and stare at me and treat me like a princess Jin!!! Always making sure she's warm, wanting to go to the cooking class with just her, and feeling truly at home with her and in their house I CAN'T He's just such a love. 😍

Tae baby... just like Jin, he knows where home is now and AH they're just all getting so close. You're so right, they really cherish her so so much. Tae and his photography too is so fun to write about, it's nice that he gets to express himself creatively and the other hybrids let him take their ID pictures was a sweet hidden moment that I'm happy you noticed!

Definitely more Jimin on the way!! It's been the Yoongi show for a bit, but that's just how I've planned these few chapters. Don't worry, each of them will get their turns to be the stars, which I'm super excited about in the future! Charmer Libra Jimin is my Roman Empire, totally more of a flirt and a romantic as time goes on. Joon UGH!! My little wolf, he's warmed up so much to MC, and he's very straightforward and stern like you said-- ever since the Incident, he seems to be very concerned about weather or not MC is feeling upset.

HA I love writing MC and Jeongguk's interactions, they're both such little shits and you can tell when they get on each other's nerves, but it's less antagonistic these days and more playful. He totally called her out for pouting, and while it might work for some of the others, it doesn't on him LOL. But she got him back with that kiss, huh? I bet she's been dying to do that for months...

I'm PSYCHED you mentioned Ben. He's my favorite side character to write, and it's nice that MC is able to confide in him about any of her worries. You're right, he totally caught onto her having crushes on all of them (it's probably dead obvious to him) But ahh it makes me so happy that you love him as well!! I agree, I'd probably act the same way towards MC if I were Ben-- teasing her but trying to encourage as well. 🫣

farmer’s market, because the plastic wrapping is logo-less and soft—crinkling with hardly a note of familiar store-branded sturdy crispness. farmer’s market, because you can even recognize this specific shape and smell of bag: earthy and papery with serrated edges.

“what the…?”

for a moment, you think someone has just dumped their morning shopping there for you to guard—hoarding someone’s treasure trove of fruits and vegetables by proximity and convenience until they dare to show their faces.

there’s a little bouquet of flowers, too, neatly arranged in one of the office mugs, the stems too long to fit. the blossoms droop and tilt, but they’re vibrant and sweet-smelling. there’s a note attached, but you don’t dare touch it, no matter how the curiosity eats at your resolve, coaxing your fingers to twitch out and reveal the text to your eyes.

“is there something wrong?” a low voice questions, rumbling the air between you and the speaker, a familiar, spine-tingling cadence that has your throat going dry.

shouto looks handsome, as he always does. blinks at you with his two-toned gaze, deceptively innocent, for the way he’s gazing at you: the intensity and expectation of someone who’s waiting for the punchline of a joke, or a poorly-kept surprise to make its’ appearance.

“nothing,” you say after finding your voice. “it’s just,”—and you gesture helplessly to the bags and bags of produce—“do you think someone forgot their groceries?”

his mouth quirks, and you hate him a little for how handsome it makes him look, for the way his bangs shadow the his strong brow, the gentle slope of his cheeks and nose. there’s a hint of ear from between those strands of hair, peeking out from the tomato red curtain of them.

“you said you wanted vegetables,” he says, hardly even batting an eye. “they’re for you.”

“i—” denial is quick on your tongue, but then you remember: you did say that. or at least something similar. remember joking about it with the receptionist, complaining about how the price increase would be the death of you—long before the next head-ache inducing incident between shouto’s unfiltered mouth and the reporters that love him could take its' toll. “i was just kidding,” you say eventually, meekly. hardly convincing.

shouto’s head tilts. “they’re for you,” he repeats. “are they not enough?”

hate him. i hate him, you think mindlessly, lying to yourself as you smile and try to arrange the bags in a less conspicuous area of your office. who goes out to buy bags of vegetables for someone voluntarily? even just to be nice?

i’m also gonna give you a progress update because, well, why not? i’m currently working on the end of january (i think i said before but i write in months, then split the months into chapters) and it’s already 39k lol. but every time i question my overwriting (which happens a lot in all fairness), i remind myself of your kind words about hs tarlos and i figure if no one else likes it, you (probably) will, so thank you for being so lovely and supportive.

i’m not going you spoil anything much, but i think december/january brings a new side to both tk and carlos we haven’t really explored before, so i’m super excited to be able to share that with you.

lemme break it down without yelling

all the ships in canon happen in this universe as well. all the characters still have their same personalities, and therefore (presumably) would still have the same feelings as they do in canon.

and here, jorn says he plays the bad guy and pressures the music club so that theyre serious and then win hot wave and then can date.

what this means is, in canon, pat still has his isaan accent. pat still does the little “oh” thing. jorn still plays the bad guy and pressures them a lot.

the only differences: 1. pat has glasses, which honestly just feels like more reason for jorn to like phat (”the way his glasses frame his face and make his big round eyes look slightly larger”). 2. pat is constantly suggesting that they disband. 3. jorn seems to want the band to stop being a thing, rather than pressuring them to do better and practice harder, but that’s presumably because in the canon universe, its not really common knowledge that the band cant date until after hot wave, whereas in this universe the characters seem to know without needing to find out from an external source (which is probably for plot convenience for time’s sake, but shut up it works), so, chances are in canon jorn just isnt aware that there are other options and thinks they have to leave the band in order to date. 4. definitely other things i just cant think of them rn

what im tryna say here is all the evidence points towards patjorn being possible in canon as well as this universe. i will break this down further in a future post but for now i need to get on with this commentary

Alright, but if Y/N is indeed pregnant, could you let her keep the baby? I saw the “mentions of abortion” tw but like please, I want her to keep it. I don’t even care if she doesn’t get back with Satoru in the end. I don’t know but I’m always so soft for babies.

So, I see that some people have this very visceral reaction to Y/N in this chapter, and guess what? I want to defend her like those K-Pop stans. I don’t care about changing their feelings about her but I just want to let them KNOW.

Y/N has made a mistake, a single one, and it makes her no different from Rie, the other woman, but seriously, Y/N is still far more dignified than Rie can ever be. Both committed a mistake. And then what? Rie decided to continue to live in La La Land and created more fuckery while Y/N did everything she could to not do anything wrong again. Y/N immediately told the truth to Suguru and Shoko while Rie and Satoru knew the truth but kept it a secret to save face or whatever tf. After the cheating, Y/N was firm with Satoru about not getting back together with him while Rie went ahead and accepted Satoru’s advances despite feeling guilty.

I saw someone say Y/N is bad at decision-making. LIKE WHERE??? Unlike Rie, Y/N made all the right decisions for someone in her position. They are a foil to each other and the entire series shows how different they are as a person by showing what they decided to do after making a mistake. Like are you being serious with me now? But I don’t know, maybe you read this series with your eyes close or smth, and you simply refuse to see that. Rie and Y/N are the “same” in this situation but overall, as a person, they are not.

LOL, alright, sorry for going off like that, I’m Y/N's biggest fan as you can tell. She’s not me, she’s my precious baby 🥺.

All in all, thank you, Kai, for this chapter! Oh man, this series is going to end soon. What a ride it is! I can’t wait to see how this will end. you know what, YOU'RE HEAVEN SENT. im so glad u pointed that out bc there's an ask in my inbox that seems to be downplaying rie's actions yet enraged by what happened between yn and satoru. i cannot bring myself to post it bc it stressed me a bit LMAO, it's like they just skimmed through every chapter and paragraphs. like they didn't pay attention to the contexts and hints that i put it in there. i mean we all know what yn did was wrong, i am not justifying it and that is why yn's facing the consequences now. yn acknowledges it and is doing everything not to do it again, unlike rie who stood tall and straight despite knowing that her new rs is a product of betrayal. i just … dont get what they're fighting for. really.😭 LMAO and im glad u mentioned this bc i was having a really hard time thinking where i lacked explaining in the story. i understand that there are still things which are unclear right now. but that's why we still got 2 more chapters left😭

okay so first things first, comments on ch. 7

-i love him being a little bossy bitch and the slight manhandling like😳😏😔😩 don’t get me wrong i love bossy/dom!eddie fics but they don’t hit as hard if he’s not got a brat to tame…so this is like perfect. (and if u felt so inclined to include even a little more manhandling going forward, i personally would melt this fic down and shoot it into my veins. if not, that’s okay too!)
