DAKOTA and ELLE FANNING at The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo Power Stylists Dinner on March 28th 2023 wearing LOEWE and STELLA MCCARTNEY
I thought the Fanning sister looked great at this event. I love seeing their different styles. Dakota’s look has the realistic Loewe signature flower, while Elle went for a more serious look. Both ladies looked beautiful.

I had a dream about this guy last night. And I am bored and cannot sleep.
1:19 am.
Prologue. Yandere Patrick Bateman x reader
Patrick Bateman was at a dinner gathering. He gave charity to schools for financial aid and housing for college students.
He then saw you...
He tried to walk up to you but reporters, writers would always try to talk to him.
Annoyed, he smiled politely and showed manners and spoke eloquently as always.
Patrick watched you move around the room talking to some girlfriends and other young men...
He felt a boiling frustration of jealousy in his heart. He felt better knowing you weren't flirting. Just talking normally.
Still. He wants to know your name and get your number
You should know the famous Patrick Bateman.
The millionaire Lawyer of New York.
But then he saw you walk around towards the door!
Crap. You were leaving. Luckily, he saw something. A little kid was playing with his car toys. After finally being away from those pesky paparazzis, Patrick used all his concentration to kick a toy car right under your high heels.
He saw you sadly trip on your face. He wanted you to fall back on your ass instead to avoid the pain.
Patrick felt guilt as you hit your cute perky nose against the floor.
Tumblr media
Poor thing.
A crowd of people circled you and Patrick quickly walked up to your form as you clutched your heavily bloody nose.
"Are you alright, my dear?" Patrick took out his silk handkerchief and gently pressed it against your delicate nose.
Before you could answer, this stranger grabbed your upper arm and made you stand.
Patrick looked to see his business partners staring. "I'll send her home after cleaning her."
The pain was hell against your nose. You heard chatter and murmurs as this man led you somewhere. You didn't see his face yet. You saw his muscular back and tuxedo.
His hair was perfectly gelled.
"where we going?" You tried to squirm away from his grip.
"Don't worry. My office is here."
You said nothing and inside you were lead to a luxurious office that had the best vintage and antique furniture.
While there. The man made you sit and gave you painkiller pills. You were uncomfortable being alone with his stranger.
He did some small talk and you warily and out of politeness replied back.
This man obviously was fond of your name. He complimented it. You didn't appreciate it.
Then he confirmed your suspicions after asking your name. He wanted your number.
So that's what this was about.
You refused. He narrowed his eyes.
"I am Patrick Bateman."
"Who?" You titled your head in confusion.
This Patrick blinked and then his face turned red.
"Are you stupid? I am a millionaire Lawyer who funds colleges including the one you go to."
You explained how you moved all the way from California to New York. So, you couldn't have heard of him unless he was a Hollywood celebrity or someone bigger. Not a lawyer.
The Patrick Bateman guy seemed to have liked your answer. He forgave you on the inside for not knowing him. He was offended and embarrassed.
"Now that you know who I am. Give me your number. I want to get to know you."
"I don't." You narrowed your eyes.
He clenched his perfectly shaped jaw. He warned you. He can get you replaced by another student in college.
"I don't care who you are. I don't trust random strangers. You are entitled and arrogant. I hate you already."
Hate? Patrick felt as if you slapped him. He watched you leave.
You hate him already? You just met. And him....
He loved you already.
Stupid bitch.
You'll pay for that.
Patrick looked at the bloodied handkerchief in his hand. He pressed it to his nose. Your blood smelled beautiful. He needs more.

Hairstylist Tanisha Meeks did some sorcery to create a curly, red bob with Halle Bailey’s locs for the Met Gala! Whoa!
Tumblr media
Chloe Bailey sang her heart out at the Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards in 2023 with this intricate updo!
Tumblr media
The sister duo walked hand-in-hand at The Earshot Prize event in 2022. Both of them had honey-blonde looks, but styled differently. We love individuality!
Tumblr media
Chloe has sported blonde locs for a while now! In 2021, she added bedazzled edge extensions to the side of her face. How cool!
Tumblr media
Now this is how you transform into a character! Halle wore her locs in flowing, hobo red locs to look like our version of Ariel for The Little Mermaid premiere.
Tumblr media
Halle’s loc mohawk was super cute for Paris Fashion Week in 2022!
Tumblr media
We’re obsessed! This honey-blonde braided halo and loc combination updo was fabulous for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere!
Tumblr media
Matching high ponytails? Check! The Bailey sisters have perfected the twinning, yet personalized hairstyles.
Tumblr media
Halle stuck with her natural hair color but added some extensions to make this beautiful fishtail braid with curly pieces to frame her face.
Tumblr media
This is art, honey! Chloe’s locs were styled into this puff updo for the 2022 Academy Awards.
Tumblr media
Okay, ponytail! This side pony is so unique and fun for The Little Mermaid premiere in Australia.
Tumblr media
This is how you show up to a fashion show! This innovative, blonde, twisted loc ‘do on Chloe was a moment!
Tumblr media
Don’t we all love the classic red carpet bun with a bang? Yes, yes we do!
Tumblr media
Bedazzled bangs? Yes, please! This messy bun for a Bulgari event in 2021 was made for the superstar!
Tumblr media
Wow, wow, wow! Halle and Chloe attended The Hollywood Reporter and Jimmy Choo Power Stylists Dinner with the iconic stylist Zerina Akers. These braided beehive styles are breathtaking!
Tumblr media
Only an It girl like Chloe could pull off this bold ponytail! The silver detailing around the pony was killer!
Tumblr media
Here’s some appreciation for the au naturel looks! The sisters had their locs pulled back in cute dos for the 2019 Teen Choice Awards.
Tumblr media
Okay, drama! Let’s just have a moment for this serve! Halle’s braided locs pulled up into this giant bun is a 10!

Who would say stay forever? pierre or charles? 👀
OMG ANON I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU ASKED because i have not thought about this further at all. but now i can!!
so this ask is in reference to this notting hill gifset which i reblogged - and listen. i physically cannot consume ANY media without trying to make it into some kind of a piarles fic. and this notting hill gifset is no different... i mean come on. it's only one of my favourite rom-coms ever! of COURSE i'm going to piarlify it.
NOW TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION: who says what? that is to say, who's who?
the easy approach - and indeed the first one that occured to me - is to make charles anna/julia roberts' character. i mean, come on. famous actor charles falls for bookstore owner pierre... it practically writes itself, doesn't it?
and do i see charles as julia roberts? YEAH i do. charles uttering the 'i'm just a girl... standing in front of a boy... asking him to love her' line is just... YEAH
but at the same time
i like to flip expectations sometimes, so i was also thinking about it the other way around? like, that could also be so fucking wholesome?
charles as the awkward, adorable and hopelessly endearing local bookshop owner who pierre can't help but be charmed by? i see it. pierre as the slightly cynical, jaded and dogged by the press actor (who's a secret romantic and longs for someone to spend the rest of his life with?) i can SO see it.
i think charles is also absolutely the type to fumble and stammer his way awkwardly through meeting the actor he's secretly had a crush on - and with charles' luck, of course he WOULD happen to run into that actor again and spill his orange juice all over pierre's shirt. of course he would.
then i also think pierre is absolutely the type to impulsively kiss someone after they've oh-so-generously leant him a shirt after the aforementioned orange juice incident, like
Tumblr media
YUP. tell me you see it, anon. tell me you see it!!
(in my piarles vision, pierre would probably not only kiss charles but also fully push him up against the wall and snog him senseless. because yeah. they're Like That™).
and then all the shenanigans about charles going to pierre's fancy hotel and being mistaken for a reporter - instead of the iconic horse & hound, i would probably have charles pretend to be a reporter for motorsport.com or something similar, LMAO - but i think that scene would be absolutely hysterical and also sooooo fitting for the two of them.
and also. oh my god. ALSO. actor!pierre going to visit charles who -despite living in monaco - is just some normal guy with a normal (if slightly insane and chaotic) family. pierre having dinner with that family and fitting in with them like they've been friends for years. pierre joking with arthur and lorenzo and being gentlemanly with pascale, and thinking that this is the happiest he's felt in years (and hey, if i can sneak in a not-so-subtle "hollywood as an allusion for red bull racing & pierre's time there" thing, then i'll be even happier.)
and then of COURSE the iconic "can i stay a bit longer?" // "stay forever" moment... well. i think it's clear now. pierre, for once uncharacteristically hesitant, asking if he can stay with charles just a bit longer and deny his reality for just a few moments more? and charles, devasatingly earnest and sincere, telling him "stay forever." 🥹
and i'm going to stop myself there, before i accidentally talk about this for five thousand words more and make it a full-on fic plan, but... yeah. YEAH. i think this idea could be soooo so so beautiful, and i love it almost beyond words 💜

'5.0 ***** Masterpiece
All Of Us Strangers A masterpiece as painful as it is comforting By Sidney Schering
A particularly popular thought experiment (also in the movies) is: “ What if I met my parents as peers?” The best-known example: In “ Back to the Future, ” teenager Marty McFly meets his mother, who is the same age, and has to deal with the fact that she starts flirting with him (and therefore ignores his father for the time being). Céline Sciamma's " Petite Maman " is particularly beautiful , in which a primary school student finds a new friend while playing in the forest, who turns out to be the child version of her mother. Based on Taichi Yamada's novel "Summer with Strangers", author filmmaker Andrew Haigh creates a cool, oppressive, sad and beautiful meeting between a man in his early 40s and his parents of the same age. This begins a bittersweet thought game about reuniting with loved ones who have already died, in the course of which “ All Of Us Strangers ” grows into a deadly sad masterpiece that is as oppressive as it is comforting.
TV writer Adam ( Andrew Scott ) is going through a melancholic phase: When he's not staring into space or watching old TV appearances from Frankie Goes To Hollywood ("The Power Of Love"), he's working on an autobiographical script. One night, a chance encounter interrupts Adam's pensive loneliness: he meets the drunken Harry ( Paul Mescal ), who tries to invite himself to Adam's apartment to taste a Japanese whiskey. Adam refuses - but immediately regrets this and then seeks to be close to Harry. A love affair quickly develops, but is put to the test by Adam's childhood trauma: his parents ( Jamie Bell and Claire Foy ) died 30 years ago - but he now meets them again in an inexplicable way in his old hometown. They haven't aged a day - and are therefore pretty much the same age as he is...
Is Andrew Haigh merely illustrating his protagonist's writing process with the encounters between Adam and his parents? Are they visualizations of an inner dialogue that the self-doubting Adam has as he ponders his career or wonders how his parents would have reacted to his sexual orientation? Is Adam going insane? Is something supernatural going on? The director of the queer cult film “ Weekend ” and the arthouse hit “ 45 Years ” allows for various interpretations. In any case, it's much less about the "why?" than about the question of what Adam's ghostly encounters trigger emotionally. This thicket of emotions could hardly be more confused and impenetrable: Adam is a deeply lonely person, initially caught between lazy melancholy and perplexed apathy. As a result, he is a man of few words, which is why it falls to Andrew Scott to often express the overwhelming emotions that arise within him non-verbally. A challenge that drives “ Sherlock ” Moriarty to a career best.
The corner of his mouth twitching uncontrollably upwards signals that, despite all the sadness about the death of his parents, there is also a spark of joy about the unreal reunion. Also telling is the single, heartbreaking tear that slowly forms in his eye while Adam tries to have a calm conversation at his parents' dinner table. The fact that the conversations become increasingly complex and contradictory after the first reunion not only gives Adam a lump in his throat: Adam's mother, who was stuck in the 1980s, reacts to his coming out with worried questions. And Adam's report that he was always the target of bullying at school only elicits a sobering response from his father. Of course, this doesn't leave Adam's view of his parents unaffected. However, they are not so heartless that he can simply come to terms with their loss: Claire Foy (" Conspiracy ") whispers about the prejudices that lie dormant in Adam's mother with an underlying empathy that makes one hope that she would have been more open-minded they continued to have the opportunity to learn through social change.
Queer or Gay
And Jamie Bell's (" Fantastic Four ") look is too distressed by his father's misdeeds to be written off because of long-ago errors in judgment. Through such developments, Haigh confronts us with the realization that loved ones to whom we owe much have often inadvertently given us deep scars. As well as the question of whether we trust them to grow or whether this would just be wishful thinking. The consequences of growing up protected but misunderstood are also expressed in other passages:
Harry may have managed to quickly involve the passive Adam in a relationship with a disarming puppy dog look and bold actions. But if they don't distract themselves from dark thoughts through sensual, tender sex, they lose themselves in sorrowful conversations. For example, about how bad experiences made her question her own identity: Adam identifies as gay because he associates the label “queer” with condescending phrases from his childhood and youth. The younger Harry, on the other hand, describes himself as queer because when he hears the term “gay” he can only think of how he heard it as a swear word for decades.
The fact that Adam and Harry have such introspective conversations shortly after meeting each other suggests that they feel safe and trust each other. But to experience her outside of lovemaking with a thick voice and on the verge of tears diminishes any sense of harmony and is more likely to raise concerns about her well-being. The ghostly imagery, which plays with semi-transparent and distorted reflections, intensifies this emotional knot of confusion, fear, joy, grief, trauma and consolation: Haigh and his cameraman Jamie Ramsay (“ Living ”) turn London into a ghost town, with its ominously underpopulated streets as a result change from comfortable and intimate to disturbing in the blink of an eye. The night blue of many scenes, which almost fades into black, wavers between beguiling and depressing, and the fact that the wandering camera often captures a considerable part of the image out of focus seems both dreamy and nightmarish.
This dance of dreamlike and traumatized intensifies as the running time increases - until bizarre humor, heartbreaking conversations about fear of death and reconciliation, and grotesque, surreal horrors merge seamlessly. Haigh's beguiling, melancholy meditation on coping with grief, the cycle of isolation and the search for closeness is enriched by an intense sound world: heart-shaking cries for help merge into pleasant breathing sounds, while pieces of music by the composer Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch convey calmness, nervousness and relief at the same time. And Adam's childhood and youth hits resound again and again - a specific selection of songs with a general, nebulous effect that, after seeing it, lingers in the ear in a way that is as regrettable as it is comforting.
Conclusion: Cool, beguiling, sad, comforting, beautiful: “All Of Us Strangers” is a hypnotizing, gliding juxtaposition of dream and nightmare, comfort and trauma - a rush of emotions that gets under your skin.'
